A growing number of oil tankers are rerouting away from the strategic Strait of Hormuz ahead of a planned US naval blockade set to begin Monday, Reuters reported, citing shipping data and official statements.

Trump issued threats against vessels that continue making transit payments to Iranian authorities, while also announcing that the US Navy would commence mine clearance operations in the Strait. The US president alleged, without providing evidence, that Iran had placed mines in the waterway.

The Strait serves as a critical passage for nearly one-fifth of the world's daily oil supplies. Any disruption there carries significant risks for global energy markets.

US Central Command announced on social media platform X that American naval forces would begin blocking all maritime traffic entering and leaving Iranian ports at 1400 GMT on Monday...

US destroyers' Strait of Hormuz transit stunt failed, came close to destruction

The US military’s attempt to sail two destroyers through the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday ended as a failed propaganda stunt timed to coincide with talks in Islamabad, a Press TV investigation has found.

The investigation, based on information provided by highly placed military-security sources, reveals that the US Navy destroyers came within minutes of complete destruction after attempting a high-risk passage through the Strait of Hormuz in a failed propaganda operation aimed at influencing Iran-US talks in the Pakistani capital.

The USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112) and USS Frank E. Peterson (DDG 121), both Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, attempted to transit the strategic waterway but were intercepted and forced to retreat by Iranian naval forces.

According to the investigation, the American destroyers and their accompanying frigates did not succeed in passing through the strategic waterway that remains closed for US vessels.

Press TV's investigation found the American attempt to be an extremely high-risk move that could have easily turned into a disaster for the United States and its military.

The destroyers were only a few minutes away from complete destruction after Iranian cruise missiles locked onto the vessel and attack drones were deployed.

When the two destroyers and the accompanying fleet reached the mouth of the Persian Gulf, Iran's cruise missiles locked onto them, and the destroyers were given only 30-minutes to turn back. The vessels immediately retreated...

In back-to-back posts made to social media early Sunday, April 12, Trump said the United States will also interdict every vessel in international waters that had paid a toll to Iran to pass through the critical shipping route.

"No one who pays an illegal toll will have safe passage on the high seas," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "We will also begin destroying the mines the Iranians laid in the Straits. Any Iranian who fires at us, or at peaceful vessels, will be BLOWN TO HELL!"

A blockade, which Trump described as "effective immediately," would be a significant escalation in the Persian Gulf, coming mere hours after U.S-.Iran peace talks ended without a deal. The U.S. and Iran have been in a tenuous, two-week ceasefire that began April 7.

Diplomats slam US negotiators' performance in Iran talks

Former United States State Department advisor and veteran West Asia negotiator Aaron David Miller sharply criticized Washington’s assumptions about the pace and substance of talks with Iran, arguing that the US misjudged Iran’s position.

“If Administration believed after only 21 hours of negotiations, Iran would give up enrichment which is what Vance implied, they totally misread the moment and the Iranian dominated IRGC,” Miller posted on X. 

Gerard Araud, a high-ranking retired French diplomat who served as the Ambassador to the United States and the Permanent Representative to the United Nations, also pointed to the prowess of Iranian negotiators.

“The agreement we reached with Iran in 2015 was the result of hundreds of hours of negotiations with the support of experts of nuclear energy,” Araud explained.

Eligible men will soon be automatically registered for military draft

Eligible men will be automatically registered into the U.S. military draft pool by December in an effort to streamline the existing self-registration process, according to the agency that oversees the system.

On March 30, the Selective Service System – the federal agency which oversees the database of men eligible for service in the event of a military draft – submitted a proposed rule for automatic registration to the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, according to its website.

The new automatic registration process was approved by Congress under the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2026, which President Donald Trump signed into law in December 2025.

According to SSS website, the agency will implement the switch to automatic registration by December, creating a "streamlined registration process and corresponding workforce realignment."

Went to cardiologist today to receive results of all those tests I have been taking. Bad news. Doc says I will be around for a while to come. I'm doing better. Somehow. But a few issues now in arteries which is being cause by smoking. So, gotta stop.

Thanks to you guys I was able to go to the pet store and get GOOD formula and can kitten food along with GOOD kitten dry food. 

That made me very very happy. Thank you.

About 6 weeks I will be looking to have them ready for their new families and that gives me another 2 weeks with em. I really enjoy doing this. I hope you enjoy watching.

They play with me like one of them now. They are all seemingly very healthy and happy and MommaCat is overjoyed when I feed em so they don't gnaw on her nipples.

Israeli attack kills at least 10 near Gaza school in violation of truce

Israeli airstrikes killed at least 10 Palestinians and wounded several others near a school sheltering the displaced in the Gaza Strip on Monday, the latest Israeli violation of the U.S.-brokered cease-fire.

Before ⁠the strikes, some Palestinians had clashed ⁠with members of an Israeli-backed militia, who they said attacked the school in an attempt to abduct some people, medics and residents said.

In the midst of the clashes, east of the Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza ⁠Strip, Israeli drones fired two missiles into the area, killing at least 10 people and wounding several others, they added.

It was not immediately clear how many civilians had been killed in the strikes, which hit in a closely packed neighborhood of mostly displaced Palestinians.

Ahmed al-Maghazi, an eyewitness, said their area was attacked by members of the Israeli-backed militia who operate in the territory adjacent to where the Israeli forces are in control, before the militia opened fire.

"The residents tried to defend their homes, but the occupation forces targeted them directly," he told Reuters.

Iran has declared a "historic and crushing defeat" of the United States and the Israeli regime after 40 days of war, announcing that Washington has been forced to accept a 10-point Iranian proposal that includes a permanent ceasefire, the lifting of all sanctions, and the withdrawal of US combat forces from the region.

US-Israeli attack targets Iran's Sharif University of Technology, causing damage

The US-Israeli war coalition has conducted an attack on Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, in recurring strikes against Iran's academic and civilian infrastructure.

According to reports, the building of the university’s mosque was damaged in the early Monday airstrike.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Tehran’s district 9, Mohsen Dodangeh, said the university’s gas post was also hit in the attack, which led to an explosion.

He added that the gas supply has been cut off temporarily.

He noted that the explosion caused fear among people living in the area and a number of homes were evacuated to prevent any incident.

Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps' Aerospace Force hit and downed a United States F-35 stealth fighter jet operating over central Iran, the spokesperson for Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Lieutenant Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaghari, announced.

"Due to the severe explosion upon impact and crash, it is unlikely that the pilot was able to eject," Zolfaghari said.

Pictures of the F35's debris circulated online, marking at least the second hit Iran scores on the 5th generation stealth fighter. On March 19, the first F-35 was hit by Iran's air defenses, which was also the first time any fifth-generation stealth fighter jet platform was ever hit.

The Tax Foundation on Monday published an analysis examining the promises Trump made about the benefits of the tariffs, including a claim that “jobs and factories will come roaring back,” as foreign investments would pour in.

This particular promise, the Tax Foundation found, has completely failed to materialize.

“Foreign direct investment (FDI) into the United States has seen no such dramatic spikes,” the Tax Foundation explained. “In 2025, FDI totaled $288.4 billion—more than an order of magnitude smaller than President Trump’s claims. Total FDI in 2025 was below the prior 10 years’ average of $320.7 billion and lower than the annual totals in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 ($405.5 billion, $338.4 billion, $297.4 billion, and $292.3 billion, respectively).”...

Poll: Most American Jews oppose war on Iran

A new J Street poll finds 60% of American Jews oppose the U.S. war on Iran.

The poll of American Jews across the political spectrum, commissioned by J Street and conducted by GBAO strategies, found that 77% of respondents do not believe President Trump has a clear plan and mission for the war in Iran.

Nearly two-thirds, or 63%, of poll respondents agreed that concerns about Iran’s nuclear program were best solved through diplomacy and sanctions; only 37% agreed they were best addressed with military action. Meanwhile, 58% of respondents agreed that U.S. military action against Iran weakens the U.S., rather than strengthening it.

As members of J Street’s leadership point out, the findings indicate that most Jewish Americans want peace.

So, we have waited around and blogged and waved signs on street corners; we have hopped up and down while some little radio personality chanted “Inside job” on a megaphone… and the entire time this administration and it’s enablers, on both sides of the legislature, have been setting the stage for another pre-emptive strike in another sovereign nation, for oil and profits. And who is this criminal organization that supports “terrorists”?  None other than Islamic Revolution’s Guards Corp; the largest branch of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s military. Something akin to the U.S. Army. But they also control the Basij. The Basij Resistance Force, as it is also known, is the all volunteer paramilitary established by the Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979. They have a standing force of about 400,000 in active and reserve forces (think their reserves have been called up?) but the really interesting thing is that they have a volunteer base that numbers somewhere close to 11 million! That’s right; 11 fucking million! Now you add that the IRGC regulars and the other armed services branches and you start to see that the surge wasn’t nearly enough!

And President Bush is poking the hornets nest with someone else’s stick. He’s positioned 160,000 of our troops in a country that already hates us and now he’s decreed  that the legitimate armed forces of Iran are “terrorists“. Why? Why would he set up our troops like that? Because someone (Chalibi?) says that they supply bomb material to Iraqi Insurgency? Because they trained some Hamas soldiers a few years ago? They have secret services divisions?

We secretly gave Israel 9 nukes that they still wink and nod about but won’t openly admit. Nukes. Not to mention the 30 billion in military aid we just signed the paperwork to give them this week (20 billion to Saudi Arabia (remember: 15 hijackers and Osama?)). Hell, Pakistan sent $100,000 to Atta right before the attacks, and they are now the #2 recipient of military aid from the US.

We trained Al Qaeda and sent money, weapons, and fighters to help them and the Taliban take Afghanistan from the Russians (and the Afghanis). Anybody remember the picture of Rumsfeld and Saddam? Taken right before we shipped materials for biological weapons of mass destruction to Iraq.

This is a simple update to an article I wrote this morning about how Code Pink and other “liberal” “anti-war” groups were backing former CIA spook and ABC “News” Mockingbird John Kiriakou.

When Kiriakou was stationed in Pakistan, he worked under a guy who would kind of mentor him along the way, Robert Grenier. It was Grenier who Kiriakou was working directly under when they helped set up the leaking of Valerie Plame as a covert CIA agent in retaliation for her husband exposing the fake “Yellow Cake in Niger” story.

You see, Grenier ended up leading the CIA’s contribution to the Global Free Market Wars till he was fired in late 2006. He then went to head up Kroll Inc. As many of you know, Kroll had a rather interesting roll to play in 9/11 while Grenier was station chief in Pakistan who also had a roll to play via the ISI.

For those of you who don't know, the CIA was using ISI to funnel spending money to the patsy terrorists in the U.S. to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars. 

As all of this unwinds I will try to show how involved was Grenier and Kiriakou were in helping to bring the Salvadorian Option of institutionalized death squads to Iraq and what does that say about him now being hailed as a “truth teller” and hero by the American Left?

“In 2001, Grenier was the CIA station chief in Islamabad, Pakistan, where he helped plan covert operations in support of the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan. In the summer of 2002 he was promoted to the chief of the Iraq Issues Group, where he helped coordinate covert operations in support of the 2003 invasion of Iraq.”

In 2002 he took Kiriakou with him to D.C. Wiki downplays this period in John’s career and as you will see, with good reason. They simply state he went to D.C. for an assignment there till he left in 2004.

Charlie Kirk bullet analysis finds no conclusive link to rifle found near scene

An analysis from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosive (ATF) could not conclusively connect a bullet fragment recovered during Charlie Kirk’s autopsy to the rifle found near the scene of the rightwing political activist’s killing – and the FBI is running additional tests, lawyers for Kirk’s accused murderer said in recent court filings.

In the court filings, Tyler Robinson’s defense team also asked for a delay to a preliminary hearing scheduled in May, saying they need time to review the bullet analysis as well as an enormous amount of other material that could contribute to the suspect’s defense.

The ATF’s bullet analysis report has been kept private, but attorneys have cited snippets in other public filings that say the results were inconclusive.

The success of a forensic ballistics analysis largely depends on the size and condition of the bullet fragments. Experts are looking for unique, microscopic markings that are left on a bullet as it passes through the gun’s barrel. The scratches are like fingerprints in that no two firearms make identical markings.

The defense said in its motion that it may try to use the analysis to clear Robinson of blame during the preliminary hearing while prosecutors aim to show they have enough evidence against him to proceed with a trial.

Prosecutors intend to seek the death penalty for Robinson, 22, who is charged with aggravated murder in the 10 September shooting death of Kirk on the Utah Valley University campus in Orem. Robinson has not yet entered a plea.

Prosecutors have said DNA consistent with Robinson’s was found on the trigger of the rifle, the fired cartridge casing and two unfired cartridges. Defense attorneys note that forensic reports indicate multiple people’s DNA was found on some items, which they say requires a more complex analysis...

Kittens UPDATE

Apparently I am now in the business of fostering kittens on my own as the three separate kitten rescue not for profits that are still maintaining websites in the Tampa area have all ignored my emails asking for help with this situation.

No good deed goes unpunished.

Recently I purchased a nifty little kennel for them but alas, I am fucking poor in spite of sending hundreds of resumes out in the past couple of months to no avail (I was offered a job framing new construction and if you know anything about that work, like I do, you know a 60 year old man with bone on bone knees, COPD and a heart condition shouldn't be trying to do that kind of work... in Florida in the summer. 

So, I need to ask if anyone wants to help even a little with the cost of dealing with the kittens. 

It seems I am stuck weening, fostering, 'fixing' and finding homes for the cute little bastards which I will do to the best of my lay abilities.

But right now what I need help with (unless you want three kittens) is getting some kitten food and other essentials for the little tikes.

IRGC warns it will target US tech companies for abetting terror in Iran

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has warned 18 major US companies, including tech giants, that their offices and properties in the region will come under attack as they have assisted US-Israeli terror operations inside Iran by providing espionage services.

Global condemnations of Israeli law for executing Palestinians mount

The Israeli occupation’s parliament, Knesset, has approved a law enabling the execution of Palestinian detainees only, drawing sharp condemnation from Palestinian Resistance factions, regional states, and international actors.

Palestinian Resistance groups on Tuesday denounced the legislation, describing it as a reflection of “Zionist ideology rooted in extermination and ethnic cleansing” and an attempt to legitimize killing within Israeli prisons. The factions stressed that the law exposes the occupation’s “fear and weakness” rather than strength, asserting that Palestinian detainees remain enduring symbols of dignity and steadfastness.

They called for a broad legal, media, and popular mobilization at local and international levels to confront the policy, urging Palestinians across the occupied West Bank, al-Quds, and other occupied territories to escalate popular resistance “by all possible means” in rejection of escalating crimes against detainees.

“Let our slogan be that truth is not executed, and dignity is not hanged,” the factions said, warning that the occupation “will pay the price for its criminal laws and actions.”...

In one day you see just how evil these people really are. 

The Israeli Knesset has passed a death penalty law targeting Palestinian prisoners. Basically they can say anyone they unlawfully arrest for defending their homes from rabid zealot settlers is a 'terrorist' or in league with Hamas (political party not a terror organization like the Department of Defense (War) is now) and just kill them at will.

Meanwhile, Netanyahu just said the next big plan for Greater Israel is to fix the Strait of Hormuz problem by spending trillion dollars (where do you think they will get that money?) to run pipelines across Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the West Bank into Israel so THEY can be the grand hub of global energy... making money on every barrel that passes thru and giving Israel the power to turn off the tap whenever they want to use it as leverage.  

Now Israeli supremacists will be allowed to grab any Palestinian (or reporter for that matter) and kill them, officially, with the cover of it being legal. Being captured by the IDF is now a death sentence for anyone Glorious Israel considers a problem for their expansionist agenda.

This is unprecedented in the world. Unheard of. Leave it to the Jewish state to be the first modern nation to do such a thing right out in the open.

Bibi talking about the pipeline plan last week made it very clear they have had this in mind from the beginning. Nukes? Long range missiles hitting New York and Rome? Nah. That was just talk. It's about getting Iran to shut the strait and using that crisis to gin up support for running a pipeline thru 3 OTHER NATIONS on route to the endpoint in Glorious Israel where THEY and not the Iranians have the leverage over the entire world.

And remember, Iran had never done this before and the only reason they did... was because ISRAEL attacked them with a blackmailed Donald Trump watching their backs.

I mean, wars of aggression, lies, torture, genocide, ethnic cleansing, blackmail, child rape, using starvation as a weapon of war, abject greed, shuttering holy sites of other religions, censorship, targeted assassinations where they kill entire families to get one innocent person...  

Is Israel surpassing Nazi Germany as the most evil nation state the world has ever known?
