More Gov’t Hooks in Social Media: Facebook Hires Patriot Act Co-Author While Trump Jawbones Twitter CEO
by Whitney Webb from MintPress News
The U.S. government-social media nexus appears to be tightening. Earlier this week, President Donald Trump held a closed-door meeting with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. Just days prior, the other top social-media network, Facebook, hired Jennifer Newstead, a former legal adviser to Trump’s state department who had previously co-authored the controversial Patriot Act, known for its role in eroding American civil liberties following the September 11 attacks.
Newstead’s hire was announced on Monday and she will now serve as Facebook’s general counsel. Newstead’s hire was announced in tandem with the hire of John Pinette, formerly of Google, Microsoft and Bill Gates’ “private innovation lab,” as Facebook’s new vice president of global communications.
Newstead mostly recently served as a legal adviser to the Trump administration’s state department, where she was involved in “overseeing work on all domestic and international legal issues affecting the conduct of U.S. foreign policy,” according to Facebook’s announcement. This included defending the U.S.’ unilateral imposition of sanctions on Iran in pursuit of regime change in Tehran at the International Criminal Court (ICC)...

One Last Expose on the Manufactured Hero Julian Assange and the Dementia of his Fans
Assange worship is becoming something akin to believing in the official 9/11 story in that some folks just can't accept reality when it's put right in front of their faces no matter how hard you try no matter how obvious it is. Their comfortable fiction is a better place to live I suppose and in some ways I get that. A world without heroes. To be pitied or envied?

New Sri Lanka Counter Terrorism Law and the Easter Attack: Coincidence?
Another Patriot Act and 9/11 I suppose. Either the terrorists have the worst timing of any human being in history or something else is afoot.

Bill Hicks Teaches Us a Lesson About RussiaGate
Three part plan for RussiaGate: 1. keep populist sounding surprise president in line 2. distract the American people from everything else going on and 3. (thank you Bill Hicks) send a message to population and potential populist candidates in the future "we have 6 ways to Sunday to mess you up so don't even think about it"

Don't Celebrate RussiaGate 'Collusion' Conclusion - They Got What They Wanted
Robert Mueller was the engine that drove the RussiaGate psyop from the start... he wasn't and isn't the hero that exposed it. All he did was draw that line of coercion to a close.
Tucker Carlson ALMOST Gets it When it Comes to RussiaGate
by Scott Creighton
For how many years have I been saying this whole RussiaGate thing was about providing Trump left-cover for doing the neoliberal things the establishment wanted and to pressure him into doing those things as the Sword of Damocles hung over his head?
This was Tucker Carlson last night. He didn't lead with this. Perhaps he should have. Because this is the method behind the madness of RussiaGate.
And while you think it might be a failure on the part of the establishment. While Trump supporters dance in the streets, I'm here to tell you, your celebration is a little hollow.
Tucker will tell you. And I will tell you.

If We Lose our Internet Freedoms Because of Wikileaks, You Should At Least Know Why
by Scott Creighton (archived from Dec. 10 2010)
(also see
“Trying to Explain the World” – How the Globalist’s PR Agents
Use the Wikileaks Psyops Program )
Just a little
more background on the “hero” Jullian Assange and
Wikileaks…
Wikileaks was
started up in Dec. of 2006. Oddly enough, as a supposed “leak”
site, a dissident site, it was given a great deal of immediate
mainstream attention from the likes of the Washington
Post, TIME
magazine, and even Cass Sunstein the now infamous
Obama administration who wrote a paper on how to “cognitively
infiltrate” dissident groups in order to steer them in a direction
that is useful to the powers that be.
The TIME
magazine article is curious because it seems that right off the bat
they were telling us how to interpret Wikileaks in such a way that
sounded strangely familiar to George W. Bush back just after 9/11…
“By March, more than one million leaked documents from governments and corporations in Asia, the Middle East, sub-Saharan Africa and the former Soviet Bloc will be available online in a bold new collective experiment in whistle-blowing. That is, of course, as long as you don’t accept any of the conspiracy theories brewing that Wikileaks.org could be a front for the CIA or some other intelligence agency.” TIME Jan. 2007
Now remember and
read closely… this article was written PRIOR to Wikileaks’ first
big “leak”, which according to the article was to occur
sometime in March of 2007. So why would TIME magazine be writing
about them in the first place if they hadn’t done anything yet?
Also, let’s not pass up on that delicious irony: this is TIME
magazine singing the praises of a supposed “leak” site which will
supposedly expose all kinds of “conspiracy theories” while at the
same time telling their readers NOT to believe in those silly
“conspiracy theories” circulating about Wikileaks. Just so long
as you believe the “right” conspiracy theories, you’ll be
alright I guess. This of course perfectly matches
Jullian Assange’s own statements about 9/11.

Honeypot Asset Julian Assange Stars in Street Theater Arrest After Years of Spying on Guests
Look at the smirk on the cop's face as if to say 'you ain't buying this stupid shit are you?"
Yeah, it looks like honeypot asset Julian Assange's contractors carried him out while holding 'Gore Vidal History of the National Security State" as a prop. The whole time he was screaming about the resistance. Looks like Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann have a new hero to promote.

Candidate Pete Buttigieg: Israel’s Security Policy Offers “Important Lessons” for the US
by Whitney Webb, MintPress News
Presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg, whose candidacy is currently being heavily promoted by corporate media, was one of the many 2020 contenders for the Democratic Party who declined to attend the recent annual conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in apparent response to calls from prominent “progressive” organizations to boycott the event and a growing shift among Democratic voters in favor of Palestinian rights.
However, despite his absence from the AIPAC conference, Buttigieg’s past public statements on the Israel/Palestine conflict echo those of pro-Israel stalwarts in the Democratic Party. Indeed, Buttigieg, in a trip to Israel last year that was funded by the pro-Israel lobby, praised Israel’s security response to protests by Palestinians on the Gaza-Israel border just four days after the slaughter of Gazan protesters by Israeli military snipers — repeating many of the same one-sided talking points about the conflict that define centrists in both the Republican and Democratic parties.
Last May, Buttigieg traveled to Israel as part of a trip for U.S. mayors organized by Project Interchange, an affiliate of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), one of the oldest and most influential Israel lobby organizations in the United States. The AJC regularly conflates criticism of Israel with anti-Semitism and has even accused progressive American Jews of anti-Semitism for their critiques of Israeli government policy.
Soon after the Israel lobby-sponsored trip, which the Times of Israel referred to as a “learning experience trip,” Buttigieg appeared on AJC’s Passport podcast, hosted by Seffi Kogen. Buttigieg, during the 22-minute discussion, stated that Israel’s security policy is “on the one hand very intentional, very serious and very effective when it comes to security and on the other hand not allowing concerns about security to dominate your consciousness.” He then added that his trip to Israel showed him that Israel’s security policy offers “a very important lesson that hopefully, Americans can look to [when] we think about how to navigate a world that unfortunately has become smaller and more dangerous for all of us.”..

Nothing short of total obedience? Pentagon rejects any talks with Turkey in S-400 vs F-35 row
from RT
The Pentagon has firmly rejected Turkey's offer to create a bilateral working group that would ensure that no military secrets of the US are compromised once Ankara deploys the Russian S-400 air defense systems.
Trying to preserve a working relationship with Washington amid disagreements over Turkey’s purchase of modern weapon systems from Russia, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Wednesday proposed creating a bilateral technical panel to make sure that the S-400 “will not be a threat – neither to F-35s nor the NATO systems.” He reiterated the need for such an arrangement on Thursday, before the Pentagon rejected the Turkish proposal, insisting that it stands opposed to American and Russian weapons working side-by-side.
“A technical working group at this stage isn’t necessary or a path the US is even considering as a resolution,” said Pentagon spokesman Eric Pahon...

Saudi Arabia ready to ditch petrodollar as ‘nuclear option’ to stop NOPEC bill – reports
from RT
Saudi Arabia is reportedly threatening to sell its oil in other currencies if the US passes a bill permitting antitrust lawsuits to be filed against OPEC members in US courts, a move which would decimate the tottering petrodollar.
If the US infringes on OPEC states' sovereign immunity and greenlights lawsuits for antitrust violations, energy officials in Riyadh are prepared to sell their oil in other currencies, according to multiple sources familiar with Saudi energy policy, one of whom told Reuters the threat has already been communicated to high-ranking US energy officials.
“The Saudis know they have the dollar as the nuclear option,” one of the sources reportedly said, while another cited Saudis as saying “let the Americans pass NOPEC and it would be the US economy that would fall apart.”
Such a move has the potential to topple the US dollar’s status as the world’s reserve currency, particularly since other OPEC members –namely Iran and Venezuela– have their own reasons to ditch the petrodollar, under US sanctions as they are, and non-OPEC oil producers like Russia also mulling such a measure...

Some Quotes Proudly Displayed on Neoliberal Andrew Yang's Website
by Scott Creighton
Andrew Yang says his campaign is about "ideas"
It is. Neoliberal ideas.
What he wants is to push the progressive left further to the reactionary right. So much so they will back the decimation of things like the social safety net, child labor laws and the minimum wage. All these things he does for the betterment of Big Business.
Here are a few quotes I found on his website which apparently is being run by the ghosts of Ayn Rand and Milton Friedman.
