Tense protests erupt in Jerusalem as they call for Netanyahu to resign

from the Daily Mail

The anti-government rally in Jerusalem carried on late into the night on Sunday (March 31) where protesters briefly blocked a highway, built bonfires and lit up red flares, as they call for Benjamin Netanyahu's government to resign. Netanyahu's cabinet has faced widespread criticism over the security failure of the Hamas attack on southern Israel in which 1,200 people were killed and more than 250 taken hostage to Gaza. Police were seen firing water cannon to break up the road blockages by protesters. Some of the protesters were also dragged off the ground and taken away.
