John Kerry Tells WEF our Constitution Makes it Hard to 'Govern'

The move to shutter the dissident voices across the Westernized world is not new. I have covered it for well over a decade. However, John Kerry's recent comments about it being hard to govern in the U.S. while we still enjoy the protections of the 1st amendment is deeply troubling.

Globalist Billionaire Mayor Bloomberg Wants to Force Cities to Take Slaves (archive)

Posted on May 24, 2012 by willyloman

by Scott Creighton

Mayor Bloomberg wants the federal government to force cities across the country to import undocumented dirt-cheap labor in order to “bring back’ industry to America.  His recent speech before the Council on Foreign Relations makes it clear that if their neoliberal agenda doesn’t continue to entice poor, destitute workers from Mexico to work like slaves in underpaid jobs here, hell, they should just have the Mexican authorities round them up and ship them to places like Atlanta and Detroit.

In short, Mayor Bloomberg wants the U.S. government to go into the business of forcing slaves on various cities across America.

Does anyone remember the last time people were shipped into this country for cheap labor? They were called “slaves”.  And that is exactly what Mayor Bloomberg and his partner Rupert Murdoch are advocating; institutionalized slavery in America under the guise of “immigration reform”

His slaveholder plea is in response to a new study put out by the globalist neoliberal Partnership for a New American Economy which Bloomberg co-founded with Rupert Murdoch of Fox News.

You can’t be allowed to “hold a viewpoint that terrorizes… people” (archive)

Last night, Hillary Clinton and her PR specialists held an infomercial in the guise of a town hall style Q&A session on CNN in which she answered scripted questions from “average citizens” about the issues of the day. The interview came not 24 hours after news of the capture of the “Benghazi suspect” hit the headlines and only about a week after her book, Hard Choices, hit the shelves.

During last night’s infomercial, when asked by a school teacher (of course) about stricter gun control laws, here is what Hillary said (video):

“I’m well aware that this is a hot political subject. And again, I will speak out no matter what role I find myself in But I believe that we need a more thoughtful conversation. We cannot let a minority of people – and it’s, that’s what it is, it is a minority of people – hold a viewpoint that terrorizes the majority of people,”

“We’re going to have to do a better job protecting the vast majority of our citizens, including our children, from that very, very, very small group that is unfortunately prone to violence and now with automatic weapons can wreak so much more violence than they ever could have before,” Hillary Clinton

Disturbing on so many levels, it’s hard to figure out where to begin with Killary’s statement.

Gavin Newsom vetoes sweeping AI safety bill, siding with Silicon Valley

from Politico

Gov. Gavin Newsom vetoed a sweeping California bill meant to impose safety vetting requirements for powerful AI models, siding with much of Silicon Valley and leading congressional Democrats in the most high-profile fight in the Legislature this year.

Newsom said in a veto message that the legislation “does not take into account whether an AI system is deployed in high-risk environments, involves critical decision-making or the use of sensitive data.”

“Instead, the bill applies stringent standards to even the most basic functions — so long as a large system deploys it,” Newsom said. “I do not believe this is the best approach to protecting the public from real threats posed by the technology.”

California’s battle took on outsize dimensions because the bill would have set a de facto national standard for the technology. Newsom has faced fierce lobbying from the state’s economic and political powers, including Hollywood actors, prominent tech companies and investors, as well as influential House members like former Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The tech-friendly governor has for months warned against stymying California’s burgeoning AI industry and undermining the state’s economic competitiveness, but he has also said California must lead on responsible regulation.

Newsom signed a less-sweeping bill that requires California’s emergency response agency to study AI risks. He paired his veto with a light-on-details commitment to formulate legislation that imposes guardrails on AI, working with academic luminaries like Dr. Fei-Fei Li, a Stanford professor who opposed the bill.

Newsom also said he would work with organized labor and private businesses to expand workplace applications for AI, building on a series of pilot projects with state agencies that have explored using AI to manage traffic management and streamline customer service for public benefits.

The bill from state Sen. Scott Wiener, a San Francisco Democrat, would have required the largest AI models to certify safety testing before deployment with the aim of protecting people from potential dangers like the creation of bioweapons.

Proponents argued it was California’s best chance to regulate the fast-moving technology — a field largely being driven by tech companies with California headquarters and global operations. State lawmakers have hoped to lead the way in the face of inaction from Congress, spurred in part by a widespread belief policymakers had waited too long to rein in social media.

Wiener, in a statement, said Newsom’s veto means the companies creating the most powerful AI systems face no restrictions from policymakers...

Australian Bill Targets Harmful Misinformation Online but Hits Free Speech Around the World

('reasonably verifiable as false' that means they don't even have to prove something as false, just put forth a 'reasonable' argument that it may be and presto... censored.)

from CATO Institute

Last week, Australia dropped its revised Combatting Misinformation and Disinformation Bill 2024, and it’s about two sandwiches short of a picnic. The bill appears to draw some of its inspiration from the EU’s Digital Services Act in terms of creating significant responsibilities and regulations. And if past is prologue, what happens in Australia doesn’t stay in Australia—such as when Australia passed its “link tax” bill, which taxed social media companies when users shared links to news articles. That link tax spread to Canada and has been actively considered in the United States. Canada is also considering replicating Australia’s eSafety Commission, despite various cases of significant censorial overreach.

But whatever the rationale or history here, this bill not only will restrict Australians’ free speech and access to different online services, but its influence may spread and threaten American speech as well.

Let’s first look at how the bill defines misinformation and disinformation, a challenge for any bill or organization in this field. The bill defines misinformation as content that is

  • “reasonably verifiable as false, misleading, or deceptive;” and
  • “is likely to cause or contribute to serious harm.”

The definition also carves out some space for satire and parody, professional news content, and “reasonable” dissemination of content for “academic, artistic, scientific, or religious” reasons. Disinformation uses the same definition and adds that there must be grounds to suspect that the content was shared with the intent to deceive others or otherwise involves inauthentic behavior.

Communications Legislation Amendment (Combatting Misinformation and Disinformation) Bill 2024

from the government of Australia

On 19 September 2024, the Senate referred the provisions of the Communications Legislation Amendment (Combatting Misinformation and Disinformation) Bill 2024 (the bill) to the Environment and Communications Legislation Committee for report by 25 November 2024.

Submissions close on the 30 September 2024.

The committee has received a large volume of material for this inquiry. The secretariat is processing this material as quickly as possible. Submissions will be loaded to the committee website in due course.

About this inquiry:
The bill proposes to amend the Broadcasting Services Act 1992 and would make consequential amendments to other Acts to establish a new framework to safeguard against serious harms caused by misinformation or disinformation.

The bill would provide the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) with new regulatory powers to require digital communications platform providers to take steps to manage the risk that misinformation and disinformation on digital communications platforms poses in Australia. These would include obligations on providers to assess and report on risks relating to misinformation and disinformation, to publish their policy in relation to managing misinformation and disinformation, and develop and publish a media literacy plan.

The bill would also provide ACMA with new information gathering, record keeping, code registration and standard making powers to oversee digital communications platform providers.

Free speech makes US ‘hard to govern’ – John Kerry

(Trump recently promised to silence all those voices calling for a cease-fire in Gaza. Jimmy Dore praised Elon Musk as a truth-teller who is being oppressed in Brazil for all that 'truth telling' he is doing regarding Lula. If you think for one minute that a Trump presidency will be better on our constitutional rights than a Harris administration, you are sadly mistaken. They all work for the same people at the WEF and they will pursue the same agenda.)

from RT

The freedom for individuals to choose their sources of information makes it difficult to govern effectively, former US Secretary of State John Kerry has said.

Speaking at a World Economic Forum (WEF) panel on Green Energy last week, Kerry criticized the First Amendment of the US Constitution, which protects freedom of speech and the press.

“It’s really hard to govern today,” he remarked, arguing that social media poses challenges for building consensus in democracies.

“The referees we used to have to determine what is fact and what isn’t have kind of been eviscerated,” Kerry stated, adding that individuals now decide where to get their news.

“If people go to only one source… and they’re putting out disinformation, our First Amendment stands as a major block to simply hammering it out of existence,” added Kerry, who served as secretary of state under Barack Obama.

As long as Democrats can “win ground” and “win the right to govern,” they will be “free to implement change,” the former senator stated.

“I think democracies are very challenged right now and have not proven they can move fast enough or big enough to address the challenges we face. To me, that is part of what this race, this election, is all about,” he added.

At another WEF event earlier this year, Wall Street Journal editor-in-chief Emma Tucker lamented the loss of the corporate media’s monopoly on information.

“We owned the news. We were the gatekeepers, and we very much owned the facts as well,” she said, noting that customers now have access to a broader array of sources...

Freedom Decree: The UN resolution and the movement to liberate Palestine

from Mondoweiss

On Wednesday September 18, a world that has stumbled to find its voice through eleven months of genocide in Palestine, finally spoke.

The General Assembly of the United Nations, a body unconstrained by the U.S. veto, and in which all countries have a seat, overwhelmingly endorsed the findings of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), and declared that the occupation of East Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza is unlawful and must end entirely, that every soldier and settler must be removed, that the apartheid wall must be dismantled, relevant laws repealed, that Palestinians must be compensated and allowed to return home, and that Israeli-imposed racial segregation and apartheid in Palestine must cease.

And it declared that Israel must immediately comply with the provisional measures of the ICJ issued by the court in the genocide case brought against Israel by South Africa...

Israeli strike kills 17 members of same family in Lebanon’s Bekaa

from PressTV

At least 17 members of a single family have been killed in an Israeli strike on eastern Lebanon, as the occupying regime continues to conduct air raids in several towns and villages across the Arab country.

Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported on Sunday that the casualties occurred after an Israeli airstrike targeted a house in the town of Zboud in the Bekaa Valley in northeastern Lebanon.

NNA went on to say that rescue teams are still working to find survivors under the rubble following the attack.

Earlier in the day, NNA reported that at least 11 people were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house in the town of Ain in the Bekaa Valley in northeastern Lebanon...

Israeli aggression targets Syria's Homs countryside

from al Mayadeen English

Syrian air defense systems intercepted Sunday morning an Israeli drone heading toward the western countryside of Homs in light of escalating Israeli airstrikes on Syrian territories.

Earlier today, an Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that an Israeli airstrike targeted the Wadi Hanna area in al-Qusayr, near a Syrian Army checkpoint in the Homs countryside. According to the report, loud explosions were heard across the city of Homs, accompanied by intense barrages of anti-aircraft missiles.

This latest strike comes amid an escalation of Israeli attacks on various regions in Syria, coinciding with increased Israeli aggression on Lebanon. Tensions have been particularly high along the Syrian-Lebanese border, where Israeli aircraft launched attacks near Lebanese areas in the country's east...

Another top Hezbollah official liquidated – Israel

from RT

The Israeli military has claimed to have eliminated another senior Hezbollah official, Nabil Qaouk, who sat on the group’s Central Council. This comes after West Jerusalem recently assassinated Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah and reported taking out most of the organization's military leadership.

In a statement on Sunday, The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that an air raid the previous day “attacked and killed the terrorist” Qaouk, who also led Hezbollah’s Preventive Security Unit.

Qaouk, the IDF said, “is considered to be close to the top” of Hezbollah, and “was directly involved in promoting terrorist acts against the State of Israel and its citizens, even in recent days.” It added that the Hezbollah official joined the group in the 1980s and held several executive posts in southern Lebanon...

Musk wants to sow dissent against democratically-elected president of Brazil: Journalist

from PressTV

The feud between American tech mogul Elon Musk and the Brazilian government is due to Musk’s close links with the US Republican Party is opposed to the government of Lula da Silva, says a Brazilian journalist.

In an interview with the Press TV website, Lucas Leiroz, a Brazilian journalist and political analyst, said the owner of X has made a series of attacks on the Brazilian president and Alexandre de Moraes, an influential jurist who heads the Supreme Electoral Court in the South American country.

In recent months, Musk repeatedly attacked Moraes, labeling him a dictator.

On Friday, the judge ordered the full and immediate suspension of X, formerly known as Twitter, over the social media platform’s role in disseminating disinformation in South America’s largest country.

He said the ban will remain in force until all related court orders are complied with, including the payment of fines amounting to 18.5 million reais ($3.28 million) and the nomination of a legal representative in Brazil.

"We have a right to defend fundamental rights. Those who violate democracy, who violate fundamental human rights, whether in person or through social media, must be held accountable," he said in a speech on Friday.

Leiroz said there is a narrative that platform X owned by Musk is dominated by “extremist groups” who spread “hate speech” on the internet and censor content related to Palestine...

Venezuela’s Maduro on Nasrallah’s assassination: Cowards of the world are silent

from PressTV

Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro has condemned the assassination of Lebanese Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah by “Hitlerish” Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, slamming the “coward” world leaders for remaining silent.

An Israeli regime force’s air strike on Friday against the southern suburbs of Beirut led to the assassination of the revered Secretary-General of Hezbollah and the killing of dozens of civilians.

The Venezuelan leader expressed his nation’s solidarity with the people of Gaza and Lebanon who he said were victims of “genocide” and “terrorist attacks” by the Israeli regime run by a “murderer who only reminds us of Hitler.”

“On behalf of the Historical Bloc of the Revolution, I express my solidarity with the Lebanese people after the announcement of the assassination of the Islamic leader, Sayyed Nasrallah.

“Cowards of the world are silent, but no one will silence the rebellious, revolutionary people,” Maduro said at a pro-Palestinian rally in La Guaira on Saturday.

Venezuela’s president called on Muslims, Arabs, and other peoples across the world to “raise their voices and show solidarity with the Palestinian people, with the people of Lebanon.”

“The orders for this attack were issued from the UN headquarters in New York,” he said, referring to Netanyahu’s presence at the United Nations General Assembly on Friday when he authorized the deadly attack...

Moody's cuts 'Israel's' rating, warns of drop to 'junk'

from al Mayadeen English

Moody's cut "Israel's" credit rating two notches to "Baa1" from "A2" on Friday and maintained a negative outlook as its aggression in Lebanon and Palestine continues.

"The key driver for the downgrade is our view that geopolitical risk has intensified significantly further, to very high levels, with material negative consequences for Israel's creditworthiness in both the near and longer term," the rating agency stated.

The downgrade kept Israel's rating three notches into investment grade. However, Moody's noted concerns about "Israel's" security and long-term economic development prospects that they "are much higher than is typical at the Baa rating level."

A dip below that level would result in "Israel" losing its investment-grade classification...

Families flee to Beirut’s seafront to escape devastating Israeli attacks

from al Jazeera

Normally at about 1am on a Saturday morning, parking is easy to find at Ramlet el-Bayda on Beirut’s seafront.

On this Saturday morning, however, cars were bumper to bumper on both sides of the road. Many were double parked and more kept arriving, as people continued to flee the devastating waves of Israeli attacks on southern parts of Lebanon’s capital.

Earlier that evening, the Israeli military levelled a block of buildings in Beirut’s southern suburbs, killing at least six and wounding another 91. The death toll is likely to rise further.

Israel claimed the intended target was a central Hezbollah headquarters and that Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah has been killed. Hezbollah has yet to issue a statement on his fate.

On the seafront, people laid down mattresses on the pavement or towels down on the beach. Further along the sand, some set up plastic chairs facing the water or sat around tables drinking coffee or smoking argileh pipes. Groups of children ran around and played.

Some people said they would spend the night here, while others said they were unsure. They didn’t think that far ahead, they just knew they had to escape Beirut’s southern suburbs...

Russia condemns Israeli attacks on Lebanon

from RT

Israel’s actions in Lebanon only create a “spiral of violence” and risk plunging the entire Middle East into a new bloody conflict, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told a UN Security Council meeting on Friday. Moscow “resolutely condemns” the Israeli attacks and seeks to de-escalate the situation, he added.

Lavrov’s words came as the Israel Defense Force launched a massive airstrike on the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital of Beirut. West Jerusalem stated that its operation had targeted the main headquarters of Hezbollah – the Lebanon-based Shia militia – located beneath a civilian neighborhood. On Saturday, Israel also claimed that the group’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, had been killed in the attack. Several media outlets had previously reported that he had survived.

Israel’s strikes “blatantly violate the sovereignty of… Lebanon,” Lavrov said in his remarks. “Indiscriminate attacks that lead to civilian casualties are absolutely unacceptable.” The Russian minister also called for an “immediately stop” to the “spiral of violence” before the situation gets out of hand. He also stated that Israel would not be able to achieve its stated goals with such attacks.

“The path of war chosen by the West Jerusalem will not help it bring internally displaced people to the north of the country and will not bring security to the Israeli-Lebanese border area,” he said, adding that Israel failed to achieve its goals in the 2006 Lebanon war despite using “cutting-edge equipment and weapons.”...

Profile: How Nasrallah rose through ranks to become Axis of Resistance backbone

from PressTV

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah, a visionary leader and a backbone of the Axis of Resistance, was assassinated in a massive Israeli attack in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Friday.

Israeli airstrikes on the Haret Hreik neighborhood, the main stronghold of Hezbollah in southern Beirut, leveled several residential buildings, with hundreds of civilians, including children, feared dead.

In a statement on Saturday, Hezbollah confirmed the martyrdom of Nasrallah, describing him as “an outstanding, courageous, wise, and insightful leader”, who joined his “great and immortal martyr comrades.”

“The leadership of Hezbollah vows to the highest, most sacred, and dearest martyr in our journey filled with sacrifices and martyrs to continue its struggle against the enemy, supporting Gaza and Palestine, and defending Lebanon and its steadfast, honorable people,” read the statement.

The Israeli regime has intensified its aggression against Lebanon since last week, which has led to the killing of more than 720 people, including dozens of women and children, since Monday.

The recent escalation came after nearly a year of Hezbollah operations in solidarity with the Palestinian nation and the Palestinian resistance as the death toll in Gaza has crossed the 41,500 mark...

Hezbollah Confirms Leader’s Death in Israeli Airstrike

(Bibi wanted all out war. Now he got it. And all they had to do was make up lies about rockets in kitchens and kill hundreds of civilians just so they could murder Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, leader of Hezbollah. Hezbollah had, 2 days ago, signaled they would agree to a cease-fire with Israel a deal crafted by the U.S., Egypt and others. Israel ignored the offer, crafted lies about rockets in kitchens and then proceeded to murder the beloved leader of Hezbollah so there would be no cease-fire.)

from the NYT

Hezbollah on Saturday confirmed that Hassan Nasrallah, its longtime leader, had been killed after Israeli airstrikes slammed into the area housing its underground headquarters near Beirut, a stunning escalation of Israel’s campaign against the Iran-backed militia.

The killing of Mr. Nasrallah, a towering figure among anti-Israel forces across the Middle East and beyond, struck a tremendous blow to Hezbollah, ending an era in the Lebanese group’s decades-old fight with Israel and raising questions about its future. Mr. Nasrallah played multiple roles in the lives of Hezbollah’s members, serving at once as a religious guide, political strategist and commander-in-chief...

Right on Cue, Israel Bombs Large Apartment Complex in Lebanon Killing Hundreds of Innocent Civilians

by Scott Creighton

After releasing the fake photos of a missile in a residence in Lebanon, Benjamin Netanyahu in his statement to the UNGA said that Hezbollah was hiding rockets in apartments. 'In every kitchen' he said. Then, according to reports, he got on the phone there in the UN building and gave the order to the IDF to bomb residential buildings near Beirut.

And people like Bill Maher and RFK Jr. still carry water for this monster to this day.

Hundreds of civilians were killed. In this one attack, Netanyahu and the Nazi Zionists leveled 6 tall apartment buildings.

Our State Department spokesman had no comment.

Israel Releases Stupid Rocket Propaganda to Justify Deliberately Attacking Civilians in Lebanon

by Scott Creighton

This is about as dumb as that stupid press event the IDF staged showing reporters the 3 bags of weapons Israel 'found' in a hospital. One of which was in what appeared to be a working MRI lab. Do you have any idea what happens to a bag full of guns and ammo when that machine turned on? It was so stupid. Then they pretended Hamas used hospitals as hubs for their military headquarters. Of course, they never bothered showing any of those. They just blew up the hospitals like they did the schools and markets and police departments and post offices...

Or as stupid as that staged scene when they had the IDF guys all standing around hugging each other cus they just found 40 beheaded babies.

This is just about as stupid.

Salvos of Hezbollah rockets fired at Israeli positions after 'savage' strikes

from PressTV

Hezbollah forces have fired salvos of rockets at Israeli positions in response to the occupying regime's "savage" strikes on Lebanese towns and civilians.

In separate statements, the groups said Friday it targeted Ilaniya moshav in the Lower Galilee region, and Kiryat Ata city in the Haifa district with volleys of Fadi-1 rockets.

Fadi-1 is a 220mm caliber rocket launched from a multiple rocket launcher (MLR). It is said to have a maximum range of 80 kilometers (49 miles).

Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television news channel reported that salvos of medium-range rockets were fired from southern Lebanon towards the occupied Palestinian territories.

A spokesperson for the Israeli military said “a barrage of 10 rockets was fired from Lebanon at Haifa, setting off sirens in the northern coastal city and suburbs.”...

World countries call for 'temporary' ceasefire in Israeli war on Lebanon, warn of 'unacceptable risk' of broader escalation

(The 'broader escalation is exactly what the Zionists want)

from PressTV

A group of world countries has issued a joint statement, calling for a three-week ceasefire in Israel’s aggression against Lebanon as the Tel Aviv regime's military has said it is preparing for a possible ground assault.

The statement, which was released at the conclusion of an emergency UN Security Council meeting on Wednesday, followed talks led by France and the United States.

It said the “intolerable” situation between Israel and Lebanon “presents an unacceptable risk of a broader regional escalation.”

"We call for an immediate 21-day ceasefire across the Lebanon-Israel border to provide space for diplomacy," added the statement signed by Australia, Canada, the European Union, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the UK, the US and Qatar.

"It is time to conclude a diplomatic settlement that enables civilians on both sides of the border to return to their homes in safety."

Neither Israel nor Lebanon has accepted the proposed truce, but US officials have voiced optimism based on their conversations with relevant parties.

The joint statement also called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, where an Israeli genocidal war has killed 41,495, mostly women and children, since October 7, 2023...

Israel rejects Lebanon cease-fire calls, tells army to fight on

from Daily Sabah

Israel rejected on Thursday a proposal for a cease-fire in Lebanon, defying calls from allies like the U.S. for an immediate three-week pause to prevent a broader conflict.

"There will be no cease-fire in the north," Foreign Minister Israel Katz said on X. "We will continue to fight against the Hezbollah terrorist organization with all our strength until victory and the safe return of the residents of the north to their homes."

The comments dashed hopes for a swift settlement after Prime Minister Najib Mikati had expressed hope that a cease-fire could be reached soon in Lebanon, where hundreds of thousands of people have fled their homes seeking safety.

World leaders voiced concern that the conflict – running in parallel to Israel's war in Gaza – was escalating rapidly.

Israel carried out some of the heaviest attacks in nearly against the Iran-backed Hezbollah group while raising fears of a new Israeli ground offensive across the Lebanese-Israeli frontier...

Biden Addressed the UN Seeking Redemption

 by Scott Creighton

Pres. Biden's last address before UN General Assembly. Yesterday. Many world leaders attended. Never before has a man appeared before the world so desperately in need of redeeming.

Started lofty, like a diplomat from the old days. Quoted Yeats. The center will hold, said Biden. As things trend to chaos all around us.

Sure the center will hold if the center means the oligarchs and masters of the universe he serves. Sure they will hold. For the rest of us? Not such a rosy outlook.

Then he went on to explain how the U.S. has weather all these many storms from Vietnam to Civil Rights to 9/11 to Covid-19... not mentioning once it is that self-same United States who created all of it from the start.

Like a child wanting his allowance before the weekend, he wants credit for cleaning up our own messes.

The adults in the room were unmoved.

Two-state solution: Biden’s fresh push to solve the Israel-Gaza conflict

from the Guardian Feb 2024

The United States has for decades formally supported a two-state solution to the conflict in the Middle East. But through many failed rounds of talks, dashed hopes, political volatility and violence in the region, talk of establishing Palestine and Israel as neighbors in a secure peace has looked, to many, increasingly like lip service. But in recent weeks, there have been signs of a shift in messaging from the Biden administration. Here’s what’s happening:

...

The Biden administration, gunning for a major foreign policy achievement before the 2024 presidential elections, had hoped to strike an agreement in which Saudi Arabia would establish formal relations with the Jewish state in return for a defense pact with the US. Saudi Arabia was also seeking Washington’s aid in developing a civilian nuclear program and progress toward resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Talks were shelved by Riyadh in October over Israel’s war in Gaza, which has so far killed more than 27,000 Palestinians. They have since resumed but Saudi Arabia now insists Israel must first end the war in Gaza and put Palestinians on a path toward statehood...

Biden highlights 2-state solution in UNGA speech

from Daily Sabah

U.S. President Biden said a two-state solution with a Palestinian state, in which Palestinians can live peacefully, is the only way to ensure permanent peace, as Israel continues to escalate violence by attacking Lebanon.

Speaking at the U.N. General Assembly in New York, Biden, who has come under fire for his administration's unconditional support to Israel, as it commits acts of genocide in the Gaza Strip, said it was time for a cease-fire in Gaza.

He said that "innocent civilians" in the blockaded Palestinian enclave were "going through hell," adding that now was the time for Israel and Hamas to agree to a cease-fire and hostage deal.

The deal would "bring the hostages home and secure security for Israel" and ease the suffering in Gaza and end this war."

Biden urged a diplomatic solution as Israel strikes Lebanon, warning against a "full-scale war" in the country.

"Full-scale war is not in anyone's interest. Even though the situation has escalated, a diplomatic solution is still possible," Biden said...

Israel committing genocide in Gaza: ErdoÄŸan to ICC chief

from Daily Sabah

Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan told the International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor Karim Khan in New York on Monday, the Presidential Communications Directorate said.

The closed-door meeting at the Turkish House came on the sidelines of the 79th session of the U.N. General Assembly.

ErdoÄŸan told Khan that the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not hesitate to violate international law in Gaza, where at least 41,000 Palestinians were killed.

He noted that Israel was recklessly making plans to carry out new massacres, wrongfully thinking that there was no power to stop them.

The president continued by saying that Israel needs to be held accountable for the crimes it is committing and that the ICC case on Israeli genocide must be concluded and the perpetrators of genocide must receive necessary punishment for their crimes, in order to preserve the sense of trust in international law.

"Türkiye will continue to strive to the best of its abilities to determine Israel's genocidal crimes with concrete evidence," Erdoğan told Khan...

I showed you the other day how congressional investigations into the Secret Service's failure to protect Donald Trump at the Butler rally were still being stonewalled by the Feds in an effort to cover-up either their abject failure... or something much much worse.

There are all sorts of problems with their official golf course sniper story.

Here's what I think happened. For what it's worth.

The Dogs of War

The dogs of war don't capitulate. They don't negotiate. They don't reevaluate. They move forward relentlessly. The narrative will be that WWIII began due to Islamic aggression leveled at poor little peaceful Israel and nothing, nothing could be further from the truth.

Dogs of War

by Scott Creighton

The dogs of war don't capitulate. They don't negotiate. They don't reevaluate. They move forward relentlessly.

Across the neoliberal West they are cracking down on all sorts of dissent be it medical, ideological or theological. You are not allowed to question the established narrative no matter what they dictate that narrative to be no matter how absurd or insultingly stupid or obviously hypocritical.

In Germany, England, Palestine and the U.S. journalists who don't toe the line are being silenced one by one.

The narrative will be that WWIII began due to Islamic aggression leveled at poor little peaceful Israel and nothing, nothing could be further from the truth.

So in Israel, in the West Bank, in Gaza, in Germany, in England and here in the states, the New McCarthyites are steadily running their modern day version of the Red Scare all over again only this time it's not 'the Commies' they are after... it's quite literally the Better Angels of our Nature.

In Israel the goal is land confiscation. Zionism. Greed. Lust for power.

Why is Israel intensifying its crackdown on media coverage? | Inside Story

(Perhaps they want to shut down reporting on Israel's crimes so that when WWIII kicks off, history wont know how Israel is responsible for starting it)

Live Updates: Scores Are Killed in Israeli Strikes in Southern Lebanon, Officials Say

from NYT

Israeli warplanes struck at least 300 sites across Lebanon on Monday in an exceptionally fierce bombardment targeting the militant group Hezbollah. Lebanon’s health ministry said the strikes had killed at least 100 people and injured more than 400, as rapidly accelerating violence brought the two sides ever closer to all-out war.

Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran, fired dozens of rockets and drones into northern Israel, setting off air-raid sirens in the city of Tzfat and around the Sea of Galilee, a day after its deputy chief pledged to continue attacking until Israel ended its military campaign in Gaza. Israeli leaders, for their part, have announced “a new stage” of the war intended to stop Hezbollah from firing at Israeli border communities...

Egypt warns of ‘all-out regional war’

from RT

The escalation between Israel and Lebanese armed group Hezbollah could trigger a full-blown regional war, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has warned ahead of the annual meeting of world leaders at the United Nations headquarters.

Tensions between the Jewish state and Hezbollah have spiked after thousands of electronic devices exploded across Lebanon last week, in a covert attack widely believed to have been orchestrated by Israel. While Hezbollah and Israel had routinely exchanged fire since the onset of the conflict in Gaza, last week marked far heavier airstrikes between the two.

“There is great concern about... the possibility of an escalation in the region leading to an all-out regional war,” Abdelatty told AFP in an interview published on Friday. The recent sharp rise in hostilities has “negatively impacted” Gaza ceasefire negotiations, he added...

Netanyahu is trying to drag Lebanon, entire region into wide-scale war: Top Lebanese MP

from PressTV

The speaker of the Lebanese parliament has cautioned against the Zionist regime’s destabilizing actions in West Asia, stating that its prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu is seeking to drag Lebanon and the region into a wide-scale war.

“Netanyahu continues to turn Lebanon’s southern towns into uninhabited scorched territories that are difficult to live in by destroying their green spaces suitable for agriculture with incendiary phosphorous bombs. The Israeli army is destroying homes and leveling them to the ground, killing civilians, including women, children, elderly people, paramedics, and health workers,” Nabih Berri stated on Sunday.

He said that Netanyahu is trying to drag Lebanon and the region into a full-blown war, adding that Lebanon does not want a war, and will not get dragged into it.

“We will not let this happen, and will not fall into the Israeli trap. Rather, we will resist his plan, adhere to the rules of engagement, and demand the implementation of UN Security Council resolution 1701 (2006). The international community has no choice but to pressure Israel into stopping violation of the Lebanese airspace,” Berri said...

UNSC sounds alarm amid deteriorating situation in Gaza, West Bank

from Daily Sabah

The UN Security Council (UNSC) on Thursday highlighted the urgent crisis in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, cautioning about the potential for a regional war amid escalating tensions in Lebanon.

U.S. Deputy Envoy Robert Wood underscored that Washington is actively monitoring the situation regarding the explosions in Lebanon, adding that "a broader regional conflict serves no one's interests."

He emphasized that a cease-fire is the best option to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and ensure regional stability, urging all parties to exercise restraint.

Wood condemned attacks by extremist settlers on Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank and criticized Israel's illegal settlement policies as inconsistent with international law and detrimental to Israel's security.

"We must not grow numb to the human suffering in the region," he said...

Outrage after German police detain 10-year-old at Gaza protests

from Daily Sabah

Social media users were outraged Sunday over the detention of a 10-year-old boy by German police during a pro-Palestine protest.

Footage on X showed several German police officers in Berlin chasing the boy as bystanders tried to shield him. The police eventually surround the boy and escort him to the police car.

Social media users on X harshly condemned the incident.

"Berlin police detained a 10-year-old boy for carrying a Palestinian flag. Disturbing, shameful, 2024 Germany," said one user.

"Brave Berlin police arrested the most dangerous child in the city. He wanted to use his flag to overthrow the federal government and declare a Palestinian state,” another user wrote in a sarcastic post.

"Berlin police chased a ten-year-old boy. There are no words to say," one more X user said...

Javier Bardem calls out Israel for 'crimes against humanity'

from Daily Sabah

Oscar-winning Spanish actor Javier Bardem denounced the Israeli government on Friday for committing "crimes against humanity" in the Gaza Strip as he urged the international community to hold those responsible to account.

Bardem told reporters at the Donostia Award as part of the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain, that Israeli leadership, under its most radical government, is committing "crimes against humanity and international law."

He noted that the Oct. 7 attacks led by the Palestine resistance group Hamas could not justify the collective punishment of Palestinians as he defined the Israeli attacks as "totally inadmissible, terrible and dehumanizing," Variety magazine reported.

The Oscar-winning actor also urged countries, especially the U.S. and the U.K., to reconsider their "unconditional support" for Israel and urged the International Criminal Court (ICC) to hold those responsible accountable...

Russia publishes ‘destructive neoliberal’ countries list (and I add one showing who still rejects Palestinian statehood)

from RT

Moscow has listed 47 countries whose “destructive attitudes” contradict Russian values, opening a path for their nationals to seek asylum in Russia if they so choose.

President Vladimir Putin signed a decree last month allowing foreigners who share Russia’s traditional values and disagree with the “neoliberal” agenda pushed by their own governments to apply for residency.

On Friday, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin published the list of countries and territories that “implement policies that impose destructive neoliberal ideological attitudes contradicting traditional Russian spiritual and moral values.”

US House passes bill meant to cover up Israel’s occupation of Palestine

from PressTV

The US House of Representatives has approved a controversial bill that disregards Palestinians’ rights to their land by designating products from illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank as originating from Israel.

The proposal, sponsored by Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney of New York, was passed by a vote of 231 to 189 on Thursday.

Titled the “Anti-BDS Labeling Act,” the bill is designed to combat the pro-Palestine Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, signaling approval for Israel to steal more Palestinian land for its illegal settlement activities.

The bill stipulates that products from the majority of the occupied West Bank will be marked as “Product of Israel” or “Made in Israel.”

It also mandates that goods from the occupied West Bank and Gaza no longer be labeled together but separately, effectively erasing the recognition of their unified identity.

Thus, products would read either “West Bank” or “Gaza” rather than “West Bank and Gaza”.

The bill goes to the finance committee next week. Should it pass in the Senate, it would further complicate efforts aimed at supporting Palestinian-made goods and boycotting Israeli items...

Sex Diaries, Red Flags, Assault Claim: RFK Jr.’s Sex Secrets Revealed

from the Daily Beast

Robert F. Kennedy Jr is often described a black sheep amid the sprawling Kennedy family, but he has one thing in common with the men who made the Kennedy name: his reputation as a womanizer.

That characterization rang true yet again Thursday when a report alleged that New York magazine’s star reporter, Olivia Nuzzi, engaged in a “personal relationship” with Kennedy after she penned a splashy profile of him in November, when his presidential run still had a glimmer of hope.

Nuzzi, 31, has been emphatic that she and Kennedy, 70, never got physical with each other. She’s stopped short of detailing what their relationship entailed, but sources have told multiple outlets—including the New York Post—that it was “digital cheating.”

That bombshell revelation came a little over a month after Kennedy and Cheryl Hines, 58, celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary on Aug. 2...

Secret Service Still Stonewalling Congressional Investigation into Butler Shooting of Trump

(Secret Service is not only still stonewalling congress on the details of the Trump assasination attempt at the Butler Grounds a couple weeks ago but they are also withholding information from local and state authorities when it comes to the fake attempt they staged at the golf course designed to make them look like they are actually trying to protect the former president. Former N.Y.C. Covid Czar Partied While Preaching Social Distancing

from the NYT

The official in charge of New York City’s pandemic response participated in sex parties and attended a dance party underneath a Wall Street bank during the height of the pandemic, even as he was instructing New Yorkers to stay home and away from others to stop the spread of Covid-19. He acknowledged his transgressions on Thursday after being caught on hidden camera boasting about his exploits.

The video of the official, Dr. Jay K. Varma, who was City Hall’s senior public health adviser under Mayor Bill de Blasio from April 2020 to May 2021, was posted on Thursday by the conservative podcaster Steven Crowder.

The video appears to have been compiled from several recordings, in which Dr. Varma is seen at a number of restaurants and cafes, chatting with a woman who remains off camera. At various points, he describes a sex party he and his wife held in a hotel and a dance party he attended in a space under a bank on Wall Street, joined by more than 200 people.

In a statement, Dr. Varma did not dispute the recordings’ authenticity but said they had been “spliced, diced and taken out of context.” He said he attended three gatherings between August 2020 and June 2021.

At the time, public health officials in New York, like those in cities and countries around the world, were frantically seeking to contain the virus and Covid’s rising death toll by encouraging people to wear masks and avoid large gatherings. New York City schools were abruptly closed beginning in March 2020. Indoor dining in restaurants was forbidden. Masking indoors in public places was mandatory...

FBI & USDoS Seek Information Regarding Serial Sexual Offender and Former CIA Employee Brian Jeffrey Raymond (Oct 2021)

from the US Embassy in Mexico from Oct  2021

The FBI Washington Field Office and the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Office of Special Investigations are asking for the public’s assistance in seeking information about serial sexual offender Brian Jeffrey Raymond.

Brian Jeffrey Raymond, 45, pleaded guilty in July 2021 to two counts of sexual abuse, in which the victims were incapable of consent, and one count of transporting obscene material.

The investigation into Raymond began on May 31, 2020, when a naked woman was seen screaming for help from the balcony of Raymond’s residence in Mexico City. Raymond admitted to having sexual intercourse with her, but the woman reported that she had no memory of events after consuming drinks and food provided by Raymond.

During the investigation, FBI and DSS recovered from Raymond’s electronic devices hundreds of photographs and videos created between 2006 and May 30, 2020, depicting at least 24 unconscious and nude or partially nude women. Almost all of the women in the photos and videos experienced memory loss during their time with Raymond and had no knowledge of the photographs, videos, or any physical contact.

CIA officer jailed for sexually abusing dozens of women

from RT

A former CIA officer has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for drugging and sexually assaulting more than two dozen women while working for the agency in South America. Law enforcement found hundreds of images of the disgraced spy groping and abusing his unconscious victims on his computer.

Brian Jeffrey Raymond was handed his sentence by a Washington DC court on Wednesday, nearly a year after he pleaded guilty to one count each of sexual abuse, abusive sexual contact, coercion and enticement, and transportation of obscene material.

As part of a plea deal with federal prosecutors, Raymond admitted to raping an additional four women, sexually abusing six, and taking obscene photographs of 28 female victims.

Raymond’s crimes began in 2006, and spanned nearly two decades. Prosecutors told the court last year how the veteran agent would use dating apps to meet his victims while posted in Mexico, Peru, and other countries. He would meet these victims at his government-leased apartment, serve them spiked drinks, and sexually assault them after they lost consciousness...

Russia will defend its Arctic from NATO – Lavrov

from RT

Russia will protect its Arctic interests against NATO's expansionist ambitions that extend far beyond Europe and the Atlantic, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said.

In an interview for the documentary ‘The Soviet Breakthrough’ released on Thursday, Lavrov said that while all members of the Arctic Council claim that there is not a single problem in the region that would require a military presence there, in reality the situation is different.

In practice, NATO members are increasingly starting “to turn their eyes to the Arctic and declare that due to its geographical location the North Atlantic Alliance also has interests there,” the foreign minister said, adding that talk about NATO being a defensive bloc concerned only with its security is not sincere.

Lavrov stressed that the Arctic does not belong to NATO, and that after incorporating almost all of Europe, it now has its sights set on countries far beyond the region...

Trump says Jewish voters would be partly to blame if he loses election

from al Jazeera

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has said Jewish-American voters would be partly to blame if he loses the election in November.

The former president lamented that he was trailing his Democratic Party rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, among American Jews, as he addressed the Israeli-American Council National Summit in Washington, DC.

“If I don’t win this election – and the Jewish people would really have a lot to do with that if that happens because if 40 percent, I mean, 60 percent of the people are voting for the enemy – Israel, in my opinion, will cease to exist within two years,” Trump said on Thursday.

Jews would be partly to blame for that outcome in the November 5 presidential election, Trump claimed, saying they tend to vote for Democrats.

He cited an unnamed poll that he said showed Harris polling at 60 percent among American Jews...

US, Israel coordinated on device explosion attacks in Lebanon: Report

(Of course they would contact the Pentagon and US intelligence agencies. We have agents and assets embedded in Hezbollah. That's probably how Israel found out about them buying these things in the first place.)

from Daily Sabah

The U.S. and Israel coordinated regarding the detonation of wireless communication devices used by the Lebanese group Hezbollah, despite Washington's rejections, a report said Thursday.

Explosions of thousands of pager and Icom wireless devices in several areas of Lebanon on Tuesday and Wednesday resulted in the deaths of 26 people and injuries to more than 3,250.

According to KAN, the official Israeli broadcasting channel, there was coordination between Israel and the U.S. concerning the explosions that rocked Lebanon.

The broadcaster reported that Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant had two telephone conversations with U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin in the last 24 hours.

"The first call between Gallant and Austin took place on Tuesday, just minutes before the first wave of pager device explosions in Lebanon,” said KAN. "The second call occurred before the second wave of explosions.”

The U.S., however, has denied involvement in the explosions. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, during a news conference in Cairo, asserted that Washington had no prior knowledge of the explosions and was not involved.

The White House also denied having any role in a spate of explosive attacks in Lebanon that targeted thousands of communication devices for two straight days...

Netanyahu says UK has ‘undermined’ Israel with arms embargo

(Apparently international humanitarian law emboldens Hamas. Somehow. According to the terrorist Benjamin Netanyahu.)

from Politico

Benjamin Netanyahu accused Britain's new government of undermining Israel by blocking arms exports to the country and dropping objections to an international arrest warrant against him.

In an interview with British newspaper the Daily Mail, the Israeli prime minister attacked center-left Labour Prime Minister Keir Starmer's "misguided" administration and accused London of "sending a horrible message" to Hamas.

"After the Oct. 7 Hamas massacre, the previous British government was clear in its support," Netanyahu said. "Unfortunately, the current government is sending mixed messages."

Britain suspended 30 arms export licenses to Israel earlier this month after the government concluded there is a "real risk" the weapons could be used in violation of international humanitarian law. The U.K. moved ahead in spite of late-stage lobbying from the U.S....

Company Says It Is Investigating Radios Targeted in Lebanon Blasts

from the NYT

The Japanese manufacturer whose name was on handheld radios that exploded in Lebanon said Thursday that it had discontinued the device a decade ago and was investigating what happened.

The company, Icom, a telecommunications equipment maker based in Osaka, Japan, had shipped IC-V82 transceivers — the model whose name is seen on radios in photos and a video of the aftermath of Wednesday’s attacks — to overseas markets, including the Middle East, from 2004 to October 2014.

Icom said in a statement Thursday that it had not shipped any of the IC-V82 radios from its plant in Wakayama, Japan, in roughly a decade. But the company has long warned of what it called a surge in counterfeit IC-V82 transceivers.

Japan’s chief cabinet secretary, Yoshimasa Hayashi, said on Thursday that the Japanese government was looking into the matter...

How Israel Built a Modern-Day Trojan Horse: Exploding Pagers

(The NYT is reporting, based on secret sources from Israeli intelligence, that it was indeed BAC who made the exploding pagers for them to ship to Hezbollah members in Lebanon. What does that mean? It means it definitely wasn't BAC who did it. The NYT lies on behalf of Israel and Israel wants to help shield the real culprits who made their terrorist bombs for them.)

from the NYT

... By all appearances, B.A.C. Consulting was a Hungary-based company that was under contract to produce the devices on behalf of a Taiwanese company, Gold Apollo. In fact, it was part of an Israeli front, according to three intelligence officers briefed on the operation. They said at least two other shell companies were created as well to mask the real identities of the people creating the pagers: Israeli intelligence officers.

B.A.C. did take on ordinary clients, for which it produced a range of ordinary pagers. But the only client that really mattered was Hezbollah, and its pagers were far from ordinary. Produced separately, they contained batteries laced with the explosive PETN, according to the three intelligence officers.

The pagers began shipping to Lebanon in the summer of 2022 in small numbers, but production was quickly ramped up after Mr. Nasrallah denounced cellphones...

How the Secret Service Missed Chances to Halt a Tragedy at a Trump Rally

(Like 9/11 the Trump shooting at the Butler Farm Show grounds is being whitewashed as a 'failure of intelligence' or a 'failure to plan' when it was actually a planned operation carried out by the Secret Service themselves. Hence the need for Operation Secret Service Redemption)

from the NYT

Disorganized communications. Security threats identified but dropped. Vague instructions. Lack of follow-through.

These lapses are emerging as key reasons the U.S. Secret Service failed to protect former President Donald J. Trump from an assassination attempt at a campaign rally on July 13 in Butler, Pa., a New York Times investigation has found.

The agency’s failures at the Butler Farm Show grounds — where a gunman’s bullets grazed Mr. Trump’s ear, wounded two rally attendees and killed another — are expected to be laid bare in coming weeks in an internal assessment delivered by the Secret Service itself and in a report from an independent Senate investigation. The pressures on the agency have taken on even greater urgency in light of what the F.B.I. identified as another attempt on Mr. Trump’s life at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Sunday...

'Israel' clearly intended to target Lebanese civilians: The Guardian

(More cowardly terrorism from the 'Jewish state')

from al Mayadeen English

"Israel", in its recent terrorist attacks using booby-trapped pagers and two-way radios, which were detonated indiscriminately among Lebanese citizens, has violated decades-long war treaties that were created for attacks of this sort, The Guardian pointed out on Wednesday, adding that the world is at the edge of war, "and none of this would be possible" without the United States "complicity and assistance."

In an editorial titled "The Guardian view on Israel’s booby-trap war: illegal and unacceptable," the newspaper mentioned that the treaty prohibits "in all circumstances to use booby-traps or other devices in the form of apparently harmless portable objects that are specifically designed and constructed to contain explosive material."

Over 3,200 people were wounded, and more than 30 were martyred - including women and children - in two separate Israeli terrorist attacks on Tuesday and Wednesday, involving the remote detonation of booby-trapped pagers and two-way radios. The devices exploded while their holders were going about their daily lives—shopping, sitting with family, working, or driving on busy roads—placing everyone nearby in immediate danger...
