GenZ Color Revolution against Vucic Government in Serbia Failing?

by Aunt BB

Competing rallies were held in Serbia on Saturday, February 15th, Statehood Day, which celebrates the Balkan country's 19th-century independence movement against the Ottoman Empire. Aleksandar Vucic, who 1st took office as president in 2017, defiantly stated that the color revolution, which Western foreign NGOs have orchestrated, has failed (see video at end of article)  He specifically accused the U.S. State Department's USAID (often used as a CIA front), CIA regime-change NGO National Endowment for "Democracy" & its EU counterpart of orchestrating the protests & manipulating young people.

Vucic has seen such protests against his government & other destabilization campaigns in the country ever since his election as president.  A constant theme has been the usual "corruption" accusation, hurled at all leaders who don't always bow obediently to Western business interests.  In Western MSM, he's portrayed as too "pro-Russian" (pro-Putin), but Serbia's always traditionally had close ties to Russia.

The Serbian leader has been attempting a balancing act between East & West, seemingly maintaining good relations with the USA & EU while refusing to impose sanctions on Russia over the West's proxy war in Ukraine.  The only flights now between the West & Russia are through the Serbian capital, Belgrade, & Istanbul, Turkey.  Moreover, over 100 thousand Russians & thousands more Ukrainians have been living in Serbia since the war began.  This anti-Putin element has often had a destabilizing effect, with obvious Western assets among them making matters worse.

It's important to note that Serbia is neither a member of the EU nor NATO, but has tried to appease their interests.  It likewise has diplomatic relations with both Israel & Palestine, clearly recognizing the 2 states as the "solution" in the Middle East.  Its increasing infrastructure projects & business deals with China though particularly seem to irritate the West.  Finally, in October, the Vucic government committed the ultimate taboo, stating that BRICS membership was preferable to joining the EU, especially since there would be no political or economic strings attached.

"Student-led protests," a familiar demographic in Western regime-change operations, began soon after November 1st when the canopy suspiciously "collapsed" (Gladio false-flag mass-casualty event) outside the train station in Novi Sad, killing 15 people.  Renovations on the station were for a new Chinese rapid-rail project, part of the Belt & Road Initiative, connecting the capital, Belgrade, to Serbia's neighbor to the north, Hungary, & its capital, Budapest.  But this wasn't the 1st Gladio event in recent years.  There have been several American Gladio-style mass shootings, including at a school, which also predictably triggered anti-government demonstrations.

Protests spread from Novi Sad to other cities in Serbia, as demands increased, & actions escalated, including blockades of universities, roads & bridges, as well as long marches between cities.  Symbolism includes the familiar red handprint, meaning "blood on your hands," & slogans, including "15 minutes (of silence) for 15 lives."  The GenZ aspect is very reminiscent of the color revolution (U.S. coup) just last year in Bangladesh where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was forced to flee to neighboring India.  Young people increased demands, constantly moving the goal post from a single grievance, finally demanding Hasina's resignation.  They waved Bangladeshi & Palestinian flags for credibility in the Muslim country, just as young people in Serbia wave the national flag or other traditional symbols, avoiding the mistake in past regime-change psyops of waving U.S., NATO or EU flags.

Other segments of society have joined in support of the "exceptionalism" of their youth, claiming Serbian kids are smarter & more savvy than those of other countries.  University professors & other professionals have taken part in the protests, but they're naturally still "student-led."  Farmers have even brought out their tractors, with their own grievances, modeled after such protests in other parts of Europe.  Everything but the kitchen sink is being thrown at Vucic & his government.  The familiar "feminist" & anti-fascist regime-change anthem, "Bella Ciao," is sung in the streets, as routinely happens now in color revolutions.  What protesters fail to realize is that the song was never sung among the Italian resistance fighting Mussolini's regime, as is popularly believed.

Finally, the icing on the cake is celebrity endorsement & sympathy for the student protesters.  Tennis ball-boy Novak Djokovic made a symbolic gesture in support of an injured student.  In the past, he's gained popularity for personally opposing Covid-shot mandates in professional tournaments even though he had a choice in his home country, Serbia, of getting shots that weren't Western Big Pharma mRNA experiments. But he's also taken part in anti-China campaigns, has a personal foundation for privatizing education, loves Israel & helped revive a tournament in the Zionist regime.

In addition, creepy spirit-cooking guru, Marina Abramovic, has called the student protesters "heroes." Zionist Kabbalah-cult devotee, Madonna, compared the size of the student protests to those that suspiciously took place in 1968 against Yugoslav leader Tito's socialist government.  The same year, the Prague Spring, another Cold War psyop, was happening in the Soviet bloc country, Czechoslovakia.  Serbia was then part of Yugoslavia, which wasn't in the Soviet sphere, instead in the Non-Aligned Movement, whose headquarters were in Belgrade.

Topping off the regime-change credentials of the student protests are the endorsement of Srdja Popovic, whose mentor was CIA color-revolution godfather Gene Sharp.  Popovic was himself a student co-founder of regime-change NGO "Otpor" ("resistance" in Serbian) in the 2000 Bulldozer Revolution against Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic.  Otpor created the familiar color revolution fist, stolen from actual resistance movements in the past.  He's now head of NGO CANVAS & a fixture in the regime-change industrial complex.

In addition, the Nobel Peace Prize committee has even accepted the nomination of the student protesters as laureate contenders.  The Prize has increasingly become a joke & is notorious for being awarded to neoliberal "free" market assets & regime-change agents.

In conclusion, the protests will likely drag on, depending on their funding from foreign NGOs, then flare up again in renewed cycles of exploited grievances.  In the worst cases, such color revolutions can become increasingly violent, often turning into riots, including outside agents provocateurs & snipers, as at China's Tiananmen in 1989, Syria in 2011 & at Ukraine's Maidan in 2014.  In the latter 2 cases, they turned into full-fledged war.  But for the sake of the people of Serbia, let's hope they can continue to celebrate Statehood Day in a relatively-peaceful, stable country whose sovereignty & economy are more or less intact.  Regardless of whether or not individual Serbians support Vucic's government, they should know that this psyop would make their lives & their country worse, not better, if it were to succeed.  Having bought into the "corruption" propaganda, those who hate Vucic should heed the warning, "Be careful what you wish for."
