The local economy in Alberta has been D.O.A. since January of 2015 and things have just gotten worse every year . Socialism or Social Democracy would greatly improve the lives of Albertans ( and Canadians ) . With a neoliberalized N.D.P. and insane Conservative Party the mainstream options aren't good .

Communism is another tool of Capitalism. The Communist/ Capitalist divide worked globally like the Democrat/ Republican divide in the US: the masses divide into mutually-antagonistic binaries, focused on hating each other, unable to detect the obvious/ omnipresent "hidden hand" controlling the teams, audience, rules of play and arena. Every "Communist" country has been a pyramid with communist pyramid-builders at the bottom, a kapo class at the top of the middle and a capstone consisting of Capitalists. It appears that this control mechanism was also a global sociological experiment and TFIC have decided that the Chinese High Tech Social Credit (UBI) System works best... for EVERYone. Which is why Western economies are being deliberately wrecked. They want you BEGGING for UBI. They want you chipped. They want you eating bugs.

The problem is that very powerful plutocrats and their various institutions actively intercede, all the time, *against* the possibility of the good things you mention.
