Rubio defends US decision to lift Iran sanctions as part of ‘give and take’ negotiating process

(Go here to see David Horovitz claim this kind of negotiation is 'appeasement'  Need I remind anyone that it was Israel who attacked Iran with the US in order to wipe them off the map so they could grow stronger and Israel who is committing genocide and ethnic cleansing in Palestine and Lebanon and Israel who is planning on creating the largest concentration camp in history in Gaza? If it's appeasement then it seems to me it's the ones who side with Israel, not Iran.)

from Times of Israel

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio defends the Trump administration’s decision to lift sanctions on Iran earlier this week, insisting that Washington has to make some concessions as part of the negotiation process.

“Anytime you enter into a negotiation, it’s a process of give and take. This is a temporary measure. It’s for 60 days. As a result, we expect them to live up to the commitments they made in Switzerland. If they don’t… the president has a lot of options at his disposal,” Rubio tells reporters in Kuwait.

The US first asserted that any sanctions relief that Iran would enjoy would only commence after Tehran made concessions in the 60 days of talks that kicked off over the weekend following the signing of a memorandum of understanding last week to end the war between the two countries...

Iran, US advance post-war diplomacy as Swiss talks yield roadmap toward final agreement

from Tehran Times

The Iranian delegation, headed by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, returned to Tehran on Monday after nearly 18 hours of intensive consultations in Bürgenstock, Switzerland.

The team included Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and other senior officials.

The talks, facilitated by Pakistan and Qatar, brought together Iranian and US representatives in a series of bilateral and quadrilateral meetings focused on implementing provisions of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which was signed on June 17 following several weeks of negotiations.

In a joint statement issued after the talks, Pakistan and Qatar announced that the parties had agreed on a 60-day roadmap toward a final agreement, the establishment of specialized working groups, and the continuation of expert-level and technical negotiations. The mediators also outlined mechanisms for monitoring implementation, maintaining communication channels, and addressing regional issues in support of diplomacy and de-escalation.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the negotiations had produced tangible progress on several issues that Tehran had identified as prerequisites for advancing discussions toward a final settlement.

On Monday, Araghchi announced significant progress in ending the war in Lebanon, largely due to the tireless mediation efforts of Pakistan and Qatar...

US Senate approves resolution challenging Trump's authority to wage war on Iran

from PressTV

The US Senate has approved a war powers resolution aimed at preventing President Donald Trump from waging military aggression against Iran without congressional authorization, marking a significant political rebuke of the administration's military adventurism.

The measure passed on Tuesday in a 50-48 vote, with four Republican senators joining Democrats in support of the resolution

Republican Senators Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, and Rand Paul of Kentucky broke ranks with their party to back the measure, while Democratic Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania voted against it.

The resolution would require the president to seek authorization from Congress before using military force against Iran.

The Senate vote follows the House of Representatives' approval of the same measure earlier this month.

Although the resolution does not carry the force of law and does not require the president's signature, its passage represents a formal expression of congressional opposition to such aggression...

Iran warns of consequences as Ben-Gvir says 'all of Lebanon must burn'

from Tehran Times

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reacted sharply to a public statement by Ben-Gvir, who called for “all of Lebanon” to burn and urged harsh retaliation against Lebanese civilians.

In a post on social media, Araghchi stressed that the remarks should not be viewed as the rhetoric of a fringe extremist but rather as the position of a senior member of the Israeli cabinet.

“This is not a rant by a random genocidal lunatic. It is a public post by the national security minister of the Israeli regime,” Araghchi said.

The Iranian foreign minister described the Israeli government as a regime driven by perpetual conflict, arguing that its policies threaten not only the region but also broader international peace and stability. He warned that the regime’s expansionist and militaristic approach has fueled recurring crises across West Asia and undermined diplomatic efforts aimed at restoring security.

Separately, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei strongly condemned Israel’s attacks on multiple areas across Lebanon, which reportedly resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of Lebanese citizens and caused extensive damage to residential neighborhoods and infrastructure.

Baqaei characterized the operations as acts of aggression and terrorism, warning of the “serious and immediate consequences” of the continued escalation by 'the occupying and genocidal Zionist regime.'...

Top British diplomat lambasts Ben-Gvir’s ‘abhorrent’ comments on Lebanon

from PressTV

British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper has criticized remarks made by Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who stated that “all of Lebanon must burn” after four Israeli soldiers were killed in a retaliatory operation carried out by Hezbollah resistance fighters in southern Lebanon.

In a post published on the social media platform X, Cooper called the comments “a horrendous and abhorrent statement from an Israeli minister who has rightly been sanctioned by the UK Government.

Cooper further appealed to Israel and Hezbollah to adhere to the ceasefire in Lebanon, and to avoid escalating tensions.

She emphasized the importance of “ensuring that all civilians are protected,” highlighting the necessity of preventing further violence while diplomatic efforts aim to stabilize the border situation.

Meanwhile, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has criticized the recent shelling in Lebanon’s southern province of Nabatieh, labeling the assaults as “relentless” and “devastating.”

In a statement posted on social media, the medical group revealed that its teams on the ground described conditions as “resembling a death trap” since civilians are still exposed to continuous bombardments. ..

Israeli strikes kill over a dozen in Lebanon's Natabieh

from PressTV

Israel’s latest strikes on the Nabatieh district in southern Lebanon have killed at least 16 individuals and injured 12 others, the Lebanese civil defense agency says.

The agency said in a statement on Saturday that its personnel have been engaged since early morning in the district to address the continuing assaults.

The casualties come a day after at least 47 individuals were killed and 97 others injured due to a series of Israeli airstrikes across southern and eastern Lebanon, as reported by Lebanon’s Health Ministry.

This marks the most severe escalation following the agreement between the United States and Iran aimed at ceasing wars on various fronts, including Lebanon.

In a revised casualty report, the ministry said that the airstrikes targeted several towns within the Nabatieh, Jezzine, and Baalbek districts.

The highest number of casualties occurred in Harouf, where nine individuals, including three women, were killed and 14 others were injured.

In Doueir, six individuals, including a child and a woman, were killed, and six others wounded.

In Haboush, seven fatalities were reported, while four were killed in Deir al-Zahrani and three in Arab Salim, including a child.

In eastern Lebanon, three individuals were killed in Tal al-Abyad near Baalbek, and Ain Bourday reported nine injuries.

Earlier on Friday, Lebanon’s official National News Agency (NNA) reported numerous Israeli airstrikes and drone assaults targeting residential areas, motorcycles, and agricultural land throughout southern Lebanon...

MAGAfact: Trump on Minab Massacre - Shit Happens

by Scott Creighton

On the first day of the US/Israel attack on Iran (Feb. 28 2026) we killed over 165 people at a school, Shajareh Tayyebeh (The Good Tree) Elementary School, which was near an Iranian naval base. Over 120 children were killed (between ages of 7 and 12):

"the victims included 120 students (73 boys and 47 girls), 26 teachers (all of whom were women), seven parents of students (four men and three women), a school bus driver, a pharmacy technician from a nearby clinic, and a six-month-old fetus" NYT

It was a triple strike attack on a building that was on our target list due to who those children belonged to.

'These schools are classified as nonprofit institutions and are primarily intended to provide educational services to the sons and daughters of members of the IRGC Navy.

Registration messages posted on the channel on the Iranian messaging app, “Baleh”- a channel dedicated to communicating with parents of pre-school children at one school in the Shajareh Tayyebeh network – show that admission procedures give priority to the children of military personnel.

In more than one announcement, the children of IRGC Navy members are explicitly invited to attend on specific days to complete first-grade enrolment, with another notice stating that registration for children of non-members opens on different days.' al Jazeera

That's right. The Pentagon wanted to send a message early in the conflict that we will do horrific shit and kill their children in school if they keep resisting. I reported on this aspect of the attack on day one and stand by it.

Remember Pete Hegseth saying we negotiate with bombs during the early stages of this conflict?

Now you know what that soulless fuck means by 'negotiate'

It was done on purpose.

Watch The Donald answer a question about this attack specifically if someone will be held accountable for it. It's a war-crime. A triple strike on a school they knew was a school for Iranian naval personnel.  Watch the flippancy with which he replies. Watch the idiotic war-crime he tries to make up regarding the Iranians.

Watch him eventually throw Hegseth under the bus with (You should ask him)

Trump may be backed into a position where he has to turn his back on Glorious Israel for reasons of self preservation. He may be saying and doing things Bibi Netanyahu doesn't approve of. He may be signalling he is ready to declare victory and get out before the Jewish supremacists turn his last stint in office into a dumpster fire.

All this may be true (is true)... but TrumpyBear still did it and he's still a fucking war criminal piece of shit who doesn't give a fuck about anyone but himself.

And that's a MAGAfact... one we warned you about before his first time in office.

Trump says 'unfair' for Iran to be barred from ballistic missiles

(What do you think the supremacists and their apologists are going to say about this?)

from al Mayadeen English

US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday it would be “unfair” for Iran to be barred from possessing ballistic missiles while other regional countries maintain similar capabilities.

“If other countries have them [ballistic missiles], it’s a little bit unfair for them [Iran] not to have some,” Trump said. “But if Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and they all have some, I would say, in relative proportion, I think it’s ok.”

Trump also commented on the US military presence in the Gulf, indicating that US forces are likely to remain deployed in the region for the foreseeable future.

“We haven’t thought about it. Probably for a while. It’s a good place to stay,” he said when asked about the issue.

Separately, Trump also said that the United States and Iran are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding within the next 48 hours, while also addressing regional security issues and the continued presence of US forces in the Gulf...

Thrown under the bus: The fate of US-Israeli proxies

from Tehran Times

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Tehran and Washington, set to be signed in Geneva on Friday, exposes the limits of American leverage despite President Donald Trump’s attempts to present himself as victorious of the war that initially began on February 28. None of the goals Washington claimed it would impose on Iran—restrictions on the missile program, dismantling of regional alliances, or zero enrichment—were achieved.

The January unrest in Iran provided Trump with the pretext he needed to escalate military deployments under the banner of supporting the Iranian people. As protests turned into violent riots, Trump encouraged Iranians to rise up and promised that “help is on the way.” That help arrived in the form of bombs. During the 39‑day war, halted by a ceasefire on April 8, thousands of Iranian civilians—many of them women and children—were killed by US–Israeli airstrikes.

Mossad and CIA fuel unrest in Iran

From the beginning, Iranian officials warned that the January unrest was being fueled by foreign intelligence services, including the CIA and Mossad, and that armed provocateurs were killing protesters to manufacture a justification for intervention. Israel Hayom recently revealed that the US and Israel had indeed coordinated efforts to destabilize Iran during the January riots, including attempts to smuggle weapons to Kurdish groups in hopes of igniting a broader insurgency. Trump himself admitted that the US had sent weapons to Kurdish factions, only to complain that they “kept them” instead of using them to attack Iran.

Hezbollah chief hails Iran’s ‘great victory’ after memorandum of understanding with US

(Glorious Israel has already violated the MOU 80+ times since its signing less than 48 hours ago.)

from PressTV

The secretary general of Lebanon's Hezbollah resistance movement has welcomed the recently concluded memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Iran and the United States, calling upon the Beirut government to seize the moment and expel Israeli occupation forces from southern Lebanon.

"We congratulate the Iranian people, the Resistance and the countries and peoples of the region and the world, who yearn for independence and freedom on this great victory,” Sheikh Naim Qassem said in a televised address broadcast from the Lebanese capital Beirut on Wednesday evening.

He hailed the strategic shifts in the balance of power, saying Iran has become “a significant power with a voice that carries weight in the region and the world."

The Hezbollah chief added that regional dynamics are moving “for the better and in the interests of the peoples of the region.”

He also praised Tehran’s role in supporting regional resistance movements, expressing gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its solidarity with Hezbollah and its preparedness for sacrifice, which forced the Israeli regime to halt its aggression...

Iranian media reveal details of potential Iran-US draft MoU

from al Mayadeen English

Iran has firmly refused to capitulate to recent American military and diplomatic pressure aimed at forcing changes to its 14-article proposal, Tasnim News Agency reported, citing informed sources.

Despite direct US military actions and leverage applied through Qatari mediation by President Donald Trump, Tehran rejected newly proposed amendments from Washington, according to Tasnim's sources.

The United States has, in fact, communicated through the Qatari mediator that it is withdrawing its latest amendments as they were no longer necessary.

However, the sources emphasized that the draft text must still undergo formal review and receive final approval from Iran’s relevant governing institutions. Until that process is complete, the sources added, all media speculations regarding a finalized deal remain entirely inaccurate.

Iran files war crimes case over US strike on water reservoirs

from PressTV

Iran has announced it will pursue legal action in domestic and international judicial bodies following a US airstrike that destroyed two drinking water reservoirs in the southern province of Hormozgan.

The early morning strike on Wednesday destroyed civilian water infrastructure in Sirik, cutting off access to drinking water for more than 20,000 residents across the town of Kuhestak and 10 villages in the Bemani district where local temperatures exceed 45 degrees Celsius.

Abdolhamid Hamzehpour, managing director of the Hormozgan Water and Wastewater Company, said Thursday that the destruction of the reservoirs has created "a major problem for the region's water supply network" because groundwater reserves in the area are insufficient and cannot provide an immediate replacement.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, US President Donald Trump vowed to intensify military aggression against Iran, explicitly warning that water supplies could be among the targets.

"We hit 'em hard yesterday. We're gonna hit 'em again hard today, in case you don't turn on your television set," Trump said.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian responded sharply to Trump's threats, dismissing them as a reflection of American frustration rather than strength...

Iran vows to avenge 104 sailors martyred in US torpedoing of frigate Dena

(The Dena was sank on March the 4th off the coast of Sri Lanka 5 days into the illegal attack on Iran.)

from PressTV

A senior Iranian Army commander has vowed that Iran will exact vengeance for the 104 sailors martyred in the unprovoked US torpedo attack on the frigate Dena, describing the assault as a cowardly act of terrorism that international bodies have refused to condemn.

Deputy Army Commander for Coordination Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari made the pledge during a television program on Friday, emphasizing that the Dena was on a peaceful training mission when it was struck.

"Our ship had gone on a peace and friendship exercise and was training. It carried no combat weapons," Sayyari said.

"These martyrs were innocently killed. If they were men of the battlefield, why did they attack someone in such a treacherous manner? We will avenge these martyrs."

The Dena, a Moudge-class frigate, was torpedoed and sunk by the US Navy submarine USS Charlotte in international waters off the coast of Galle, Sri Lanka, on March 4.

The vessel was returning home after participating in the International Fleet Review 2026 naval exercise hosted by India — a multinational gathering to which Iran had been officially invited...

Pentagon Sees Growing Espionage Threat From Israel

from the NYT

Recent U.S. intelligence reports have raised concerns about Israeli spy agencies eavesdropping on American negotiators working on a peace deal with Iran, amid rising concern over a more general counterintelligence threat by Israel.

Israel and the United States have long known, and tolerated, that each was spying on the other. But an intensified Israeli effort to learn about U.S. positions in talks with Iran has crossed a line, according to some American officials.

The reports include concerns that Israel has stepped up its efforts to eavesdrop on senior American officials, including Steve Witkoff, President Trump’s top negotiator, Elbridge A. Colby, the Pentagon’s top policy official, and one of his main deputies, Michael P. DiMino IV.

Another report, written by the Defense Intelligence Agency and other military intelligence offices and focused on earlier events going back several years, said that the counterintelligence threat level posed by Israel had been increased in recent weeks to the top level, from high to critical. The report, to which the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency contributed, outlines various efforts by Israel to spy on American military personnel and government officials.

The reports and the intensified concern about Israeli spying come at an especially sensitive time. Israel and the U.S. have been fighting the war against Iran together, and have never had such close military coordination as they do now, with Israeli military officers working side-by-side with their American counterparts at U.S. Central Command.

The U.S. military is sharing huge amounts of tactical and operational information with its Israeli counterparts. But senior American officials said that Israel is looking for insights into Mr. Trump’s strategy and shifting stances on the peace talks...

Iran announces suspension of operations after ‘painful response’ to Zionist regime

from PressTV

Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has announced the cessation of armed forces operations against Israel, stating that a "painful response" has been delivered to the Zionist regime in support of the oppressed people of Lebanon.

The headquarters said in a statement on Monday that the halt comes after Iran's powerful armed forces delivered a response to the "atrocities and mischief" of the "savage Zionist regime" in southern Lebanon and the Dahiyeh district, which were carried out with the support of "criminal America".

"The fake Zionist regime and its supporters must learn a lesson from this response," the statement said.

The announcement follows a series of missile strikes by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Sunday targeting Israel's Ramat David Air Base in northern occupied territories.

The IRGC said the operation was in response to Israel's "widespread crimes" in southern Lebanon, including the killing and displacement of civilians, and that the air base had served as the origin of aggressions against Lebanon.

On Monday, the IRGC struck Israel's strategic Nevatim and Tel Nof airbase in northern occupied territories after Israeli aggression on several Iranian cities...

IRGC hits Haifa industrial sites after Mahshahr petrochemical plant attacked

from PressTV

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has targeted industrial sites deep inside the Israeli-occupied territories with a barrage of ballistic missiles in direct retaliation for the Tel Aviv regime's strikes on Iran's petrochemical industry.

The IRGC Public Relations Department announced in a statement on Monday that the strikes hit petrochemical facilities in the port city of Haifa with missiles, in reprisal for a similar US-Israeli attack on the Karoun petrochemical plant in Iran's strategic southern port city of Mahshahr.

The statement emphasized that the Zionist regime had “launched a dangerous game” by attacking civilian facilities and energy infrastructure of Iran.

It warned that strikes on Iran's civilian infrastructure and energy facilities would expand the scope of retaliation, which will include all energy targets in the region...
