Fun fact; the state of Florida, is what’s known as a Deadbeat State - only the IRS can garnish wages and income on a judgement, with court order, and even they cannot take your primary residence if you declare bankruptcy. The most they can do is put it on your credit statement. One of the few things I’ve learned over the years as a contractor in Florida who deals with deadbeats who live in million dollar condos.
