Where are all the Trump-trainers who jumped from the left onto the Orange Express for clicks and views and money in the lead-up to the 'election'? Where are they as it turns out The Donald and The Elon (character written by a Paperclip Nazi) are dropping the economic brick known as neoliberal Shock Therapy on the people of America?
Over at Fox News they are telling their audience that it's patriotic to 'tighten their belts' and suffer in silence as Musk, Theil, Trump and the rest of his administrations' billionaires collapse the economy... on purpose.
'Just shut up and take the pain' says America's 0.5%ers live on the TV screen. 'You'll all be rich once it's over and done' they promise. 'Just take the medicine and all will be fine in the end' is the prevailing mantra from the complicit Vichy media. It's always the same.
“I don’t want anything to go down, but sometimes you have to take medicine to fix something,” Trump said to reporters on Air Force One Sunday evening. “What’s going to happen to the markets, I can’t tell you. But our country is much stronger.” Politico 04/06/2025
'Meeting with the president and his economic team in Abuja last week, in the midst of protests against the subsidy removal, confirmed my view that the Nigerian government has an unprecedented opportunity to clean up its act and win back the support of a long-suffering population. The president spoke of taking the tough medicine necessary to build the foundations for long-term growth. His lead economic architect is Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, newly returned from a top spot at the World Bank.' Jeffery Sachs 01/27/2012
'In the wake of the 1990’s, the future of nascent post-Soviet Russia was in the hands of four groups of reformers, who were entrusted with applying a medicine known as “shock therapy” to a collapsing patient. These “doctors” were independent foreign advisers, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the US government, and, most importantly, President Yeltsin’s administration (Aslund 2007a, 2007b).' Geohistory 04/04/2016
If that is the case, that the American people will be better off after all the suffering brought on by austerity 'medicine', then it would be the first time in the history of globalist neoliberal shock therapy that it worked out that way.
'Some economists and global policymakers were once big fans of “shock therapy” – a massive cutting of federal budgets among deeply indebted nations aimed at bringing their economies back to health.
Surprisingly, these so-called austerity programs have had just the opposite effect.
They have thrown economies into a tailspin, causing deep recessions and social upheaval.
Elon Musk and hedge fund manager John Paulson are calling for cuts to the U.S. budget if former President Donald Trump is re-elected and they join his cabinet.' CNBC 10/30/2024
Don't trust financial publication CNBC's evaluation? How about the IMF's?
'Asking if the International Monetary Fund supports economic neoliberalism is like asking if the Pope is Catholic — the answer is so obvious it seems silly to even raise the question. The IMF has been one of the principle endorsers of neoliberalism—an ideology that promotes free markets, free trade, and small government—for decades.
That is what makes it so shocking that the IMF recently released a paper titled “Neoliberalism: Oversold?” questioning the efficacy of a program that has been the basis of mainstream economic policy in most of the Western world since the end of the Cold War.
The paper — written by IMF Deputy Director Jonathan Ostry, Division Chief Prakash Loungani, and economist Davide Furceri — proposes that neoliberal economic policies have resulted in increased inequality and stunted economic growth.' Fortune 06/03/2016
Neoliberal economic ideology ("eliminating price controls, deregulating capital markets, lowering trade barriers" and reducing, especially through privatization and austerity, state influence in the economy') of privatization, deregulation, crippling austerity and reducing the size of government has NEVER worked in terms of what they, those who imposed it, sell the effected populations thru various forms of propaganda and disinformation.
It has never worked. Anywhere. And that is not debatable.
And that is exactly what Trump and Musk and their gaggle of billionaires are doing to us right now.
The tariff taxes on us are designed to cripple the economy and drive hyperinflation.
Like what Milei did recently in Argentina taking their inflation rate up to 800% at one time.
Hyperinflation is the 'sickness' that the austerity 'medicine' is then prescribed to cure. But first you need the hyperinflation, you need, as Kissinger once put it, to 'make the economy scream'
Neoliberal globalization has never produced a better economy for the masses but it ALWAYS make OLIGARCHS way richer than before it started.
The IMF said after forcing neoliberalism on nations for 4o years that they finally came to understand in 2016 that it 'didn't work'
That's a lie. It does exactly what it is designed to do. That's why they need brutal dictators (unitary executives?) to oversee the implementation of it. They have to crack down on demonstrations, the freedom of speech and any dissent from the public regarding the 'medicine'
They need to neuter the press, congress and the judiciary to ensure the austerity mandates passed down from the Dictator in Chief aren't undermined or tossed out entirely.
And that's what Trump & Company are doing now.
It's important for those of us who are still loyal to reality, to counter the propaganda that there will be a bright shining city on the hill once this initial pain is over. There wont be. There never is. There is just more suffering, shorter life-spans and lower standards of living.
For us.
Not for them.
And that's the point.
Donald Trump has become the epitome of everything the alt-right and alt-left decried for decades: a neoliberal globalist hell-bent on selling us out in exchange for a bunch of money and his own glorious Pinochet-like dictatorship.
How is it that Trump is now talking about 'medicine' in economic terms like all the peddlers of shock therapy in the past? Is Trump suddenly an economist? Is he sitting up late at night doing his own research?
No. He's being advised by shock therapy advocates and parroting what they tell him. Because he's stupid.
And we are all in a world of shit for it.
Where are all the Trump Trainers now? They're sticking their heads in the sand counting their shekels and praying everyone forgets their trespasses sometime in the near future when they will resurface as part of the 'resistance' and try to milk that nickle to death... cus that is what they do.
Well, time is now Vichy influencers. Time is now.
Get your heads out of the sand and pick a side.
