Goes with previous news few days ago they're eliminating the home subsidy there for gas conversion (from electricity for heat?) & now offering heat pump subsidies!
I do believe i read that most of their diesel is imported already refined from russia.
Also, Germany is now trying to negotiate with Spain to run an ng pipeline over the pyrenees to bring in gas that they spain get from across the med in Algeria. can't bring it by lng tanker, not the outrageously complex & expensive ships nor port terminals needed for that, take many years to even build get working, & it said it would replace merely "10%" of lost russia gas but didn't say if this would be 10% of the 40% of europe's overall gas from russia turned off, or 10% specifically of germany's usage.
LNG outrageously wasteful & inefficient; depending on ship sea route length, loss of intrinsic energy from that method of super-pressurizing a ship, sending it then reinjecting slowly into a gas pipeline for local transit to consumer costs 40% of the original energy content.
note any map that pipeline would have to transit france to get to germany.
