Parkrose Permaculture and other lefties out there are praising the great Greta for 'bringing attention to' the situation in Gaza.
The situation in Gaza doesn't need attention as it's the most highly publicized campaign of genocide in history.
What they needed was food, water, medicine, building materials, medical equipment. They needed help. But Greta Thunberg's 'Selfie Boat' stunt never intended to deliver anything to them other than attention.
Question is: attention to whom?
Here she is receiving a sandwich from the IDF after her luxury yacht was boarded. The thought of what a Gazan mother would do for that little meal to give to her kids should have made Greta weep in shame.
Instead... this is what we got along with the headlines like 'The Greta photo that exposes the hollowness of Leftie activism'.
But still the identity politics is strong with this one.
I am reminded of someone who once had me on for my very first interview way back in the day, Cindy Sheehan.
This was her emotional response to being arrested back in the Bush days when she was protesting the Iraq War that cost her her son.
Whether or not Greta's reaction to her detainment by IDF stormtroopers was indicative of her shallow understanding of the situation and cause she got herself involved in or whether it was due to a childish discomfort with the looming, armed thug before her is not for us to decided or condemn.
Either way.
She is a child after all who was groomed to be the face of something she didn't understand or comprehend.
All Greta knew was suddenly the world cared what her uninformed mind thought of it all. She was... relevant.
And for a while now, she hasn't been.
Until... the sandwich.
Being thrust into the limelight must have a rather narcotic effect on someone. I mean, look at Elon.
The IDF rightly called this the 'selfie yacht' and said they had less stuff on board for the Gazans than a single truck carries. Both things I mentioned in my video yesterday and both very true.
The crew of 12 are being returned to their countries of origin as we speak
Greta will no doubt already have her PR person and managers scheduling all her talk show interviews, radio spots and podcasts.
Expect Hasan Piker to have her on along with Joe Rogan in a couple of days.
And Greta will love every minute of it.
Is that why she's smiling?
I don't know and frankly don't care.
The Selfie Boat clout chased it's way across the sea and met with the only real end that it could have seeing as how they never intended to show up and face 10k starving Palestinians with a single barrel of rice and some tampons.
The Fake Flotilla (as I will call it now), the LARPer Cruise (I like that one as well) has run it's course and all that's left is for the Hotep Nation Grifties Award to be handed over. Just get it over with Uncle Hotep. It's done. There can be no other.
All the attention they bring to this will be bad as we are already seeing. It will the left look vapid, narcissistic and soulless. And that's a shame.
Here is a video showing the last minutes on board The Selfie Boat including the moments a leader told them to ditch their phones and the moments later... when they were ALL posting Instagram videos for the clout.
For folks out there trying to spin this... good luck. You're just making us all look even worse.
The real shame is while it is going on people are starving in Gaza and the memory of those real activists lost on the Mavi Marmara fades to black.
