Over 100 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes on school in Gaza

from PressTV

More than 100 Palestinians have been killed following Israeli airstrikes on a school sheltering displaced people in the east of the Gaza Strip, as the occupying regime presses ahead with its months-long aggression on the besieged territory.

Palestine’s official WAFA news agency said over 100 citizens were killed and dozens injured on Saturday morning after the Israeli occupation forces bombed the al-Tabi’in school in the al-Daraj neighborhood east of Gaza City.

Citing local sources, the agency said the occupation warplanes bombed the school while citizens were performing the dawn prayer.

“The Israeli strikes targeted the displaced people while performing Fajr (dawn) prayers, the matter led to a rapid increase in the number of casualties,” the government media office in Gaza said in a statement.

The media office stressed that the Israeli attack comes within the “framework of the crime of genocide and ethnic cleansing against our Palestinian people in a clear manner.”...

Israel expands invasion after 'horrific massacres' in Gaza's Shujaiya

(Israel is ethnically cleansing Gaza City ahead of signing cease fire deal so they can remain after calling it unpopulated.)

from PressTV

A trail of destruction is left as Israeli forces partially pull out of Gaza City’s Shujayea district after a bloody two-week onslaught.

Witnesses on Thursday said tanks and troops had moved into other Gaza City areas, and clashes between Israeli forces and persistent fighters were occurring. Explosions, artillery shelling and gunfire could be heard, they said.

Plumes of smoke were seen rising over parts of the city.

The Hamas resistance movement reported 45 airstrikes in the Gaza City area, as well as in Gaza's southernmost city of Rafah.

Several Palestinians lost their lives in fresh Israeli attacks on areas of al-Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

At least 50 others were also killed in Gaza City’s Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, where Israel had issued an evacuation order...

How DementiaJoe's Debate Fail is Costing Palestinian Lives

We are sending more bombs to Israel to depopulate northern Gaza and even set the Nakba Pier back up to ship forcibly displaced Palestinians to Big Business for use as cheap labor. All because Joe Biden screwed up a debate and now he needs the Zionist lobby to stay in power. Its sickening.

UN warns Israel’s Gaza evacuation order will cause ‘mass suffering for Palestinian families’

('A regional source said Washington was trying hard to secure a (peace) deal before the U.S. presidential election in November.' source

'Hamas has given initial approval for a U.S.-backed proposal for a phased cease-fire deal in Gaza... Israeli forces would also withdraw from densely populated areas of Gaza...' July 7 2024 source

It's as clear as day. They are trying to drive Gazans out of Gaza City so they can claim it is barely populated so they can keep the IDF and settler scum in place, ready to steal that land for Glorious Israel)

from PressTV

The United Nations has warned that Israel’s new Gaza evacuation order will exacerbate “mass suffering for Palestinian families”, as more than 300,000 Palestinians are estimated to reside in the north of the besieged territory.

In remarks at a news conference on Wednesday, UN secretary general’s spokesman Stephane Dujarric described the level of fighting and destruction in Gaza in recent days as “truly shocking.”

“OCHA (Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs) warns that Israel’s instruction for people to leave Gaza City will only fuel mass suffering for Palestinian families, many of whom have been displaced again and again,” he said.

Dujarric once again reiterated the world body’s demand on the Israeli regime to “respect international humanitarian law.”

The UN official also gave an update from the humanitarian coordinator for the occupied Palestinian Territory, Muhannad Hadi, saying that aid deliveries “fall far short of the needs in Gaza” despite aid workers’ efforts...

The Latest | US-built aid pier in Gaza will reopen for a few days, then be removed permanently

(Looks like Biden team figured out they could get the American press off their backs if they brought back the Nakba Pier and started giving the Israeli Zionists some more Big Gubmint welfare in the form of 500lb bombs to drop on Gaza City. Seems to be working as the MSM and even some alt-media influencer types are now supporting DimentiaJoe staying in the race while he shits his pants at NATO functions.)

from the AP

The (NAKBA) pier built by the U.S. military to bring humanitarian aid to Gaza will get reinstalled Wednesday to be used for several days, but then the plan is to pull it out permanently, several U.S. officials said. It would deal the final blow to a project long plagued by bad weather, security uncertainties and difficulties getting food into the hands of starving Palestinians.

Heavy Israeli bombardments pounded Gaza City on Tuesday, driving thousands of Palestinians to flee and forcing medical facilities to shut down because of the latest offensive in the territory’s north. And in southern Gaza, an apparent Israeli airstrike on a school-turned-shelter killed at least 25 people and wounded dozens more, Palestinian health officials said.

Hamas has warned that Israel’s expanding military operations in Gaza City and the displacement of thousands of residents could have “disastrous repercussions” for talks aimed at a cease-fire and the release of Israeli hostages...

US to resume shipment of heavy bombs to Israel despite rising civilian deaths

from PressTV

The administration of US President Joe Biden is set to resume shipping heavy bombs to the Israeli regime in defiance of international calls against the move, in line with Washington’s untrammeled support for the occupying entity in its months-long genocidal war on Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Speaking on condition of anonymity on Wednesday, a US official said Washington would resume shipping 500-pound bombs to Israel. The official added, however, that the US would continue to hold back on supplying 2,000-pound bombs over what he claimed to be “concerns” about their use in the densely populated city of Rafah in southern Gaza.

“We’ve been clear that our concern has been on the end-use of the 2,000-lb bombs, particularly for Israel’s Rafah campaign which they have announced they are concluding,” the official said.

“Our main concern had been and remains the potential use of 2,000 lb bombs in Rafah and elsewhere in Gaza ... because our concern was not about the 500 lb bombs, those are moving forward as part of the usual process,” the official added.

The US media also confirmed that the shipment of 500-pound bombs to Israel is getting underway...

Israel Orders Palestinians in Gaza City to Evacuate South to Deir al-Balah as Fighting Intensifies

(The Israelis are trying to force Gazans out of locations where they want to remain so they make them 'unpopulated' so when they sign the temp peace deal, they don't have to move the IDF forces out. It's always about stealing someone else's shit for these people.)

from Haartz via archiveToday (H/T T)

The Israeli army called on all residents of Gaza City to evacuate south to the Deir al-Balah area on Wednesday in leaflets distributed in Arabic. Residents were informed that they could leave the city safely towards the south through designated crossings.

This week, the IDF announced that troops are operating in several locations in Gaza City, including outside the Shujaiyeh neighborhood in the eastern part of the city, where the IDF has been active for over a week. This is the first time since October that all residents of Gaza City have been asked to evacuate.

In recent days, Gaza City residents have reported that the IDF has expanded its operations and increased air and ground strikes in the city, similar to operations at the beginning of the war.

Residents told Haaretz that the intensified combat has forced tens of thousands of people to flee their homes and public spaces, such as schools and campuses, that served as places of refuge in recent months...
