Türkiye, Egypt intelligence chiefs discuss Gaza, regional security

National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Director Ibrahim Kalın met with Egyptian General Intelligence Service chief Hassan Rashad in Ankara on Monday to discuss the Gaza cease-fire, bilateral ties and a range of regional security issues, Turkish security sources said.

The two intelligence chiefs reviewed the implementation of the second phase of the Gaza cease-fire agreement and agreed to continue strengthening coordination and cooperation to help prevent Israel's escalating violations of the truce, the sources said.

Kalın reaffirmed Türkiye's commitment to supporting the Palestinian people, stressing that Ankara would continue to stand by Palestinians with all available means, as it has done throughout the conflict.

The meeting also covered Türkiye-Egypt bilateral relations and regional developments, including efforts to unify political authorities and military forces in eastern and western Libya under a single administration.

The officials further exchanged views on the latest developments in Somalia and discussed the ongoing conflict in Sudan between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces.

The meeting comes as Ankara and Cairo continue to deepen cooperation on regional security following the normalization of diplomatic relations, with Gaza remaining a key focus of coordination between the two countries.

The United States seems to be poised to reevaluate its tactics in implementing President Donald Trump’s plan for the Gaza Strip. It seems they are considering installing a Palestinian technocrat government and Palestinian police force before assembling their International Stabilization Force (ISF), which they are finding no country wants to be part of.

While this remains very far from acknowledging the rights of the Palestinian people, and even farther from realizing those rights in practice, it is a real vindication for the strategic decisions that the assortment of Palestinian factions — not only Hamas — made in the wake of the diminishment of Israel’s genocide in October.

Egypt and Turkey are Providing Military Support for Global Sumud Flotilla?

Just as Greta Thunburg was kicked off the steering committee boat because she couldn't stop with the selfies (they wanted to keep the focus on Gaza, not Greta) they are now entering what they call the Yellow Zone which means they could be harassed by the IDF pirates at anytime.

However, the Turkish and the Egyptians seem to have had enough with Israel and America's bullshit so they planned a joint military exercise, first time in 13 years by the way, called Operation Friendship Seas which is taking place starting today and going through Friday the 26th and it just so happens, it's right in the area of the Mediterranean where Israel is expected to try to stop the Global Sumud Flotilla. 

 

Here is the current location of the flotilla as of 9:40 am Eastern standard time Monday Sept. 22 2025 (source - Sumud Tracker):

 

It appears, at this pace, the main contingent of the flotilla will reach the area of the joint drills maybe as early as this evening and certainly by tomorrow.

Notice they have a submarine in the mix. It was a Soviet sub back in the day that surfaced and let the Israelis know they were watching the attack on the U.S.S. Liberty. Remember?

This could get real interesting real fast.

I wonder if they kicked Greta off the steering committee boat because they didn't trust her as all of this was unfolding and they knew they would be in contact with the Turks and Egyptians. 

Apparently the flotilla is carrying a massive amount of aid which is desperately needed by the people in Gaza since the biker gang working for the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation keeps killing Palestinians who dare try to get some food for their children.

Israel pursuing genocide, starvation in Gaza: Egypt's el-Sissi

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi criticized Israel for pursuing "a war of starvation and genocide" in Gaza, as he rejected claims that Cairo blocked life-saving aid from reaching the besieged Palestinian territory.

"The war in Gaza is no longer merely a war to achieve political goals or release hostages," el-Sissi told a news conference in Cairo along with his Vietnamese counterpart.

El-Sissi continued by saying: "This war has long since surpassed any logic or justification, and has become a war of starvation and genocide."

"There is systematic genocide to eradicate the Palestinian cause," he said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday Israel must "complete" the defeat of Hamas to free hostages held in Gaza, a day after Israeli media reported the army could occupy the entire territory, in blatant violation of international law.

Israel has heavily restricted aid to Gaza, which is slipping into a catastrophic famine...

Egypt detains 200 activists, blocks pro-Palestinian Gaza march

...  The Egyptian government has for years clamped down on dissidents and activists when their criticism touches on Cairo’s political and economic ties with Israel, a sensitive issue in neighboring countries where governments maintain diplomatic relations with Israel despite broad public sympathy for Palestinians and the former's war crimes and systematic abuses against them.

Egypt had earlier warned that only those who received authorization would be allowed to travel the planned march route, acknowledging it had received "numerous requests and inquiries.”

"Egypt holds the right to take all necessary measures to preserve its national security, including the regulation of the entry and movement of individuals within its territory, especially in sensitive border areas,” its foreign ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

Israel Katz, Israel’s defense minister, said the protesters "endanger the Egyptian regime and constitute a threat to all moderate Arab regimes in the region.”

The march is set to begin just days after a large convoy, which organizers said included thousands of activists, traveled overland across North Africa to Egypt.

In Egypt, Iran FM calls for Muslims ‘collective action’ to stop Israeli crimes in Gaza

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi have called on Muslim countries to take “collective and effective” measures to end Israel’s crimes in Gaza and the regime’s expansionism and occupation in Lebanon and Syria.

Araghchi, who is in Egypt’s capital of Cairo at the first leg of a two-nation trip, made the remark in a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Monday.

He said the oppressed people of Palestine in Gaza are suffering a “painful” situation as the Israeli regime continues its genocidal war in the besieged Strip.

Since October 7, 2023 when the Israeli regime began its genocidal war in Gaza, more than 54,400 Palestinians have been killed and over 124,100 others injured, most of whom are children and women.

Araghchi further hailed “useful and constructive” consultations and cooperation between the two “important” countries of Iran and Egypt about the ongoing sensitive developments in the region, saying both sides should proceed with interaction.

(I am not a fan of this plan. Whenever a rebuilding plan includes space for 'technocrats' to recreate the nation, that's a red flag. Plus, it simply paves the way for the P.A. to take over in Gaza. The Arab League has endorsed an Egyptian plan for the reconstruction of Gaza that ensures the non-displacement of its Palestinian inhabitants.

The plan is presented as an alternative to US President Donald Trump’s widely criticized proposal to assume control of the war-torn Palestinian territory.

The plan was discussed during an extraordinary Arab League summit in Cairo on Tuesday, attended by several Arab heads of state, foreign ministers, and other high-level representatives.

In his opening remarks, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi said the plan would ensure Gazans “remain on their land.”

Sisi proposed forming an administrative committee of independent Palestinian professionals to temporarily oversee Gaza's affairs, paving the way for the return of the Palestinian Authority.

Egypt floats 2-day Gaza truce, hostage exchange before cease-fire

Key Gaza mediator Egypt proposed Sunday a two-day truce in the Palestinian territory and limited hostage exchange hopefully leading to a complete cease-fire.

The proposal made by Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi includes exchanging four Israeli hostages held in Gaza for Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails. More negotiations within 10 days would follow it, el-Sissi told a news conference in Cairo.

He did not say whether the plan had been formally presented to either Israel or Hamas.

El-Sissi's intervention came as Israel continued its genocidal war on Gaza while also fighting a war against Hezbollah in Lebanon and having just launched airstrikes on Iran.

Egypt warns of ‘military response’ after Israel’s seizure of sensitive buffer zone

Egypt has warned it’s ready to respond militarily after Israeli troops seized a sensitive corridor of land along its border with the Gaza Strip.

According to the Wall Street Journal, ties between Tel Aviv and Cairo are now fraying, with Egypt having told Israel it will not hesitate to respond militarily if it feels its security has been threatened.

It came after the Israeli military said the regime’s forces had taken “operational” control over the 14 km-long corridor along Gaza’s border with Egypt.

“The Philadelphi Corridor served as an oxygen line for Hamas, which it regularly used to smuggle weapons into the area of the Gaza Strip,” Daniel Hagari, Israel’s chief military spokesperson, claimed, using the Israeli military’s code name for the 14 buffer zone.

An Israeli military official has clarified that there were Israeli “boots on the ground” along parts of the corridor.

Israel has claimed there are at least 20 tunnels in the Philadelphi corridor, but Egypt has denied the existence of the tunnel network linking Egypt’s Sinai and the Gaza Strip.

“Israel is using these allegations to justify continuing the operation on the Palestinian city of Rafah and prolonging the war for political purposes,” a high-level Egyptian source said, according to state-linked Al-Qahera News.

Egyptian soldier killed in Israel border incident

An Egyptian soldier has been killed in an incident involving Egyptian and Israeli troops in the border area near Rafah.

The Egyptian and Israeli militaries are investigating what happened.

Israeli media say there was an exchange of fire, but there are few other details and no reports of Israeli casualties.

Tensions between Egypt and Israel have heightened since Israeli forces took control of the Gazan side of the Rafah crossing point three weeks ago as part of their offensive against Hamas.

Egypt is a strong supporter of the Palestinians and has condemned Israel's military campaign in Gaza and the killing of thousands of civilians by Israel in the war.

Egypt was the first Arab country to sign a peace deal with Israel 45 years ago and, although it has held, relations between the two sides have often been frosty. Deadly incidents between Egyptian and Israeli troops are rare, however.

Hours before the shooting, Egypt's foreign ministry condemned an Israeli strike on Rafah which killed at least 45 people, according to Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry. It accused Israel of the "targeting of defenceless civilians"...

The corrupt Egyptian government seems to be adopting a war of attrition approach to this latest crisis. After the international beating they took in the aftermath of the violence caused when Mubarak’s thugs attacked peaceful protesters and journalists alike, it now seems that the globalists like Hillary Clinton have advised a hands-off approach to winning this war.  There is no telling what is happening away from the spot-light of Tahrir Square, but they are certainly using a different tactic in the light of day.

With people like Vice President Omar Suleiman and Interior Minister Mahmoud Wagdy in power, you have to expect there is probably a lot going on behind the scenes, ie. disappearances, detentions, and possibly torture, if their histories are any indication.
