Russia denounces Ukraine's attack on Iranian ship in the Caspian Sea as a ‘terrorist act’

"This is a real terrorist attack. In modern terms, it's a terrorist attack," Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told Sputnik radio on Wednesday, adding that the incident stems from a broader revival of global piracy.

The Kremlin also warned that the strike represents a direct provocation against Tehran.

“The Kyiv regime blew up an Iranian merchant vessel in the Caspian Sea. This is an attack on Iran,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday, emphasizing that the strike demonstrates the necessity of eliminating "the threat" emanating from Ukraine.

The weekend attack triggered an explosion aboard the merchant vessel, killing one Iranian sailor and severely injuring another.

Following the strike, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi launched an urgent diplomatic push, holding a phone call with European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas. During the conversation, Araghchi strongly condemned the Ukrainian military’s assault on civilian infrastructure and urged the United Nations Security Council, the European Union, and the broader international community to denounce Kyiv’s aggression unequivocally. Polish president strips Zelenskyy of honor over naming of army unit after notorious WWII group

Polish President Karol Nawrocki said Friday he will strip Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Poland’s highest state honor over the Ukraine leader’s decision to name a military unit after a Ukrainian paramilitary organization accused of massacring Poles during World War II.

Zelenskyy was awarded the Order of the White Eagle in 2023 by Poland’s then President Andrzej Duda for his services to security, resilience and the defence of human rights.

But it will now be revoked after Zelenskyy issued a decree on May 26 naming a military unit of Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces after the UPA — the Ukrainian Insurgent Army — which operated during the 1940s and 1950s and which is accused in Poland of mass killings.

Kiev-backed suicide bomb plot thwarted in Russia – FSB

A Ukrainian terrorist plot involving an unwitting suicide bomber has been thwarted in the Russian port city of Sevastopol, the Federal Security Service (FSB) has said.

The agency said a Ukrainian intelligence handler persuaded a local resident to carry a portable speaker to the FSB’s regional headquarters, telling him it would be used for surveillance as part of an internal investigation. Officials said the device actually concealed an improvised explosive meant to detonate at the site. Security guards intercepted the device and found the explosives before they could be triggered.

Officials released a record of what they said were instructions given by the Ukrainian handler, who claimed the unwitting accomplice would be offered a job at the FSB, should he prove capable in the fake counter-espionage operation. Death toll rises to 27 in Ukrainian strike on New Year’s party: Russia

Russian authorities report that the death toll from a Ukrainian drone strike at a New Year’s party in a café in the Kherson region has risen to at least 27 people.

In a statement released on Friday, Russia’s Investigative Committee noted that two children were killed in the attack, with five additional minors among the injured.

At least 100 civilians, including guests and staff, were present at the venue when the “terrorist act” occurred just before midnight on December 31 in the Black Sea coastal village of Khorly, according to the statement.

Multiple drones targeted the crowded café and a hotel, igniting a massive blaze, it added. At least one of the UAVs carried an incendiary mixture.

The agency also reported that investigators have recovered fragments of several drones at the scene. A criminal investigation into the act of terrorism has been initiated.

Over 26 forensic examinations, including medical, genetic, explosive, and fire safety analyses, have been ordered as part of the inquiry.

“All members of the Ukrainian military involved in this crime will be identified and brought to justice,” the agency stated.

I keep reading the work of so-called “alternative” journalists like Eric Zuesse who are apparently trying to portray Israeli citizen, banker and multi-billionaire Ihor Valeriyovych Kolomoyskyi as some kind of legitimate alternative to Obama’s man in Kiev, Petro “Porky” Poroshenko.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

The mental gymnastics people like Zuesse have to go through while making this claim are mind boggling.

The complicit corporate media here in the states are already starting to demonize Poroshenko, with one that I noticed the other day referring to him as the ‘self styled” president of Ukraine. Thus the de-legitimization process begins.

In reality, he was “elected” in one small area which voted against the former legitimate president of the country which Obama got rid of when he looked to sign a deal keeping Ukraine out of the EU and NATO.

But as far as leaders aligned with the White House goes, that’s about as legit as they get.

Ihor Kolomoyskyi is on a quest to overthrow our puppet junta in Kiev. Of this there is no doubt. So does that make him automatically opposed by ObamaGod and the CIA and Western interests?

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine suggested on Friday that his country’s alliance with the United States could be at a breaking point as the White House presses Kyiv to respond by Thanksgiving to its plan to end the war against Russia.

‘We lost several generations’ – Ukrainian MP on leaked docs

A Ukrainian MP has admitted the loss of “several generations” in the country’s three-year conflict with Russia. The comments from Artem Dmytruk follow reports that leaked military files indicate Kiev’s forces have lost more than 1.7 million troops – killed or missing – since 2022.

Russian media outlets on Wednesday cited a digital card index allegedly acquired by hacker groups from Ukraine’s Chief of Staff said to contain names of dead or missing soldiers, details of their deaths, and personal data of their families.

The entries suggested 118,500 troops were killed or went missing in 2022, 405,400 in 2023, 595,000 in 2024 and a record 621,000 so far this year.
