Glenn Greenwald has Lost his Mind (either that or he’s just a desperate liar) (archive)

It would appear that Mr. Greenwald has gone off the deep-end so to speak and is flailing about in the dark waters of desperation trying to keep his head (and more important, his brand credibility) above water.

Glenn is running around pointing his crooked little finger at “the media” claiming they were the most daunting threat to him and his invisible boy, “Edward Snowden”, keeping them from speaking “truth to power”.

Only in a world so convoluted, where the historical record is constantly manipulated and altered daily, could such a public figure utter such contrived nonsense without being laughed off a studio set by his interviewer while the techies pelt him with random garbage.

According to Russia Today, he denounced journalists in the United States and Britain, accusing them of failing to challenge those in political power and of discrediting anyone who dared to do so.

“[W]e knew in particular that one of our most formidable adversaries was not simply going to be the intelligence agencies on which we were reporting and who we were trying to expose, but also their most loyal, devoted servants, which calls itself the United States and British media,” Greenwald said.

He said that the NSA programs came to light “almost entirely without them and despite them.” Their role as journalists, Greenwald claimed, “is not to be adversarial, their role is to be loyal spokespeople to those powerful factions that they pretend to exercise oversight.” Huffington Post

Glenn is upset because it has become obvious to most that he has taken on the role of spokesman for the privatization of the NSA, a plan once called CISPA, and to that end, he is fronting for the intelligence op running under the guise of “Edward Snowden”

Sibel Edmonds famously challenged Mr. Greenwald recently pointing out his financial interests in this little project which are considerable. A 250 million dollar “news” project hangs in the balance for Mr. Greenwald as long as he clings onto his “leaks” and manages to weather this most recent storm with his tattered brand credibility intact.

The irony of Mr. Greenwald’s claims goes beyond bold, reaching for the psychotic.

With the new CISPA (CISA) ready and waiting in the wings, Glenn Greenwald’s recent promise to release details on exactly who the government has been spying on couldn’t have been timed any better… for some… not so much for those STILL being spied on all this time. Didn’t hurt the sale of his new book either, I suppose, which hit the stands on May 13th.

“Milking every red cent he can from his CIA-op “Edward Snowden” leaks, the billionaire’s b*tch, Glenn Greenwald has promised to finally release actual names of people, activists, political critics, writers and groups being illegally and unconstitutionally spied on by the federal government in tandem with various globalist corporate conglomerates.

You think he might have led with that story a year ago in order to help stop the madness, right? To let all those people and organizations know everything they are saying and writing is being harvested so they can take appropriate personal or legal action that will protect them, right? wrong.” me, May 30

Last night Glenn Tweeted that he was going to publish his big story at midnight on his billionaire-backed website, The Intercept. The masses (and the masses of obvious influence peddling bots) were all in a frenzy. FINALLY Big Glenn was going to be the hero he has been marketing himself to be. That would silence all those Snowden Truthers and Greenwald Detractors out there!

But then… 8 hours later… came the renege:

Is Glenn Greenwald willingly setting the stage for the passage of the highly unpopular CISPA by helping to create this new “crisis” at this critical time? Is “the conversation” everyone is talking about us having, actually going to center around the passage of “Big Brother’s Friend” CISPA? I believe it is…

800 companies spent $68 million dollars lobbying congress to pass CISPA this past year. The first hurdle was  the House of Representatives on April 18th of 2013. Glenn Greenwald was contacted on May 1st by Edward Snowden. Suddenly the talk is about “having the conversation” about privacy and security, the EXACT conversation that would be required in order to push something like CISPA into becoming a law.

That is, after the right crisis is created and the MSM hype it enough.

You think that’s a coincidence? That all of this is happening in a non-election year right before the bill is to go to the senate and eventually to Obama for him to sign? I don’t think so.

As many of you know, my ongoing research into the Edward Snowden psyop has been pretty extensive. As soon as the story broke, I started with one theory as to why they would stage this leak which naturally evolved into another as I learned more and more information became available.

But since the beginning, I have understood that this was and is a staged operation.

Soon you’ll be able to rank Glenn Greenwald up there with Arianna Huffington, Amy Goodman and Oprah as the biggest and richest fake liberal sell-outs to the Business Party this country has ever produced.  For the record, Clinton doesn’t count because he was always a fascist sell-out from day One.

With the help of a billionaire “philanthropist” (who’s main interest is creating “business centered solutions to the political problems in America”.. which ironically, IS THE PROBLEM with America, that’s it’s “business centered”) named Pierre Omidyar (of eBay) , Glenn is leaving his job at the Guardian to start up his own internet network providing “news’ and “journalism” to those people out there starved for more Sunshine Press Productions’ version of the “truth”

 “Glenn Greenwald, who has made headlines around the world with his reporting on U.S. electronic surveillance programs, is leaving the Guardian newspaper to join a new media venture funded by eBay founder Pierre Omidyar, according to people familiar with the matter.” Reuters

The opportunity is just so wonderful, according to Greenwald, no journalist could ever pass it by. Well, I guess that depends on what you call “journalism” Glenn.

“Greenwald did not specify what his new project would look like, describing it only as a “momentous new venture” and a “once-in-a-career-dream journalistic opportunity that no journalist could possibly decline.” He said that the site would be a general-interest outlet, that he would be responsible for its journalism output, and that it had substantial money behind it.

Speaking to the Washington Post’s Erik Wemple, Greenwald said the site would have branches in New York, Washington and San Francisco, and that it was being funded by a “particular backer.”

“It would be impossible for any journalist, let alone me, to decline this opportunity,” he added.” Huffington Post

In the interest of full disclosure, the same “particular backer” that is funding this new brand of “journalism” is partnered up with the Huffington Post on their Huffpost Hawaii brand of truth-telling. Guess that explains the glowing review of this news, huh?

In order to fully understand what this is all about, one has to first follow the money as someone once whispered in a bathroom stall.

So What Happened with Glenn Greenwald and What Does it Mean?

Was it some friend of a gay prostitute having a little fun with Glenn on Twitter? Or was it something else? Was it Israel? Glenn still talks about Israel. Was it Palantir? What did Glenn say about J.D. Vance 10 days before this happened? Is there a lesson to be gleaned from this story either way? Maybe he shouldn't have helped privatize the surveillance state.

 (In April of 2004 the Abu Ghraib leaked photos went public. In Oct of 2006 the CIA's WhyKeyLeaks honeypot operation was launched to trick future whistleblowers into giving them their files so they could be trashed and the whistleblowers disappeared. In Nov of 2012 nearly 800 major US corporations contributed tons of cash to US politicians to get them to pass CISPA, legislation which would allow for the privatization of the surveillance state. In May of 2013 'Snowden' psyop pushed for that very same legislation, then called CISA. For the record, CIA killed RFK Jr.'s father and uncle. Now he serves them. Just sayin)

The US authorities should stop prosecuting WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, and instead erect a monument in Washington DC to celebrate his “heroic” deeds, independent US presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has said. He insisted that the case against Assange runs counter to the freedom of the press.

The US indicted the WikiLeaks founder under the Espionage Act for assisting whistleblower Chelsea Manning in a 2010 disclosure of hundreds of thousands of classified documents related to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Assange is now battling US attempts to extradite him from Britain...

According to the independent presidential candidate, “Assange should be celebrated as a hero for doing exactly what journalists are supposed to do, which is to expose government corruption.”...

Kennedy went on to say that the “same is true for Edward Snowden, who exposed illegal spying by the NSA,” calling the US whistleblower a “hero, not a criminal.”...

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) (formerly known as Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA)) was finally approved in the United States in the wake of the Edward Snowden psychological operation which followed the murder of Aaron Swartz and an army of 800 lobbyists invading D.C. to DEMAND they pass their law which essentially privatized the surveillance state here in America.

'In all, with the aligned companies that make up the various Roundtables and alliances, there are 800 corporations that support the passage of CISPA.

800 corporations, Business Roundtable, Financial Roundtable, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, the Military Industrial Complex in general all standing for something the general public is strongly against...

President Obama signed into law the U.S.A. Freedom Act on June the 2nd. On June the 1st and most of Tuesday, June 2nd, certain provisions of the Patriot Act had been allowed to sunset, to expire. Those were controversial sections of the law which provided legal cover for things like collecting mass amounts of personal data from everyone, the “lone wolf” provision and roving wiretaps.

On a pleasant Sunday afternoon, sitting comfortably in his home in Rio de Janeiro with a nifty little green-screen at his back (what self respecting journalist doesn’t have one of those), Glenn Greenwald admitting he was well aware of his star witness’ potentially fatal character flaws prior to publishing his overly hyped article on NSA “secrets” that the world already knew about. Glenn then deliberately misrepresented the nature and scope of the NSA’s spying program and perhaps  inadvertently offered up a glimpse of the real motivation behind the Snowden Psyop for anyone who cared to listen.

Over the past week and a half that I have been covering this story, my position has been that Glenn was probably just fed a bit of information on some new “Deepthroat” type whistle-blower and the promise of a Big Story … something on the lines of his work back in 2006 on the first (and the real) spying scandal leak when he went from being an obscure blogger to the toast of the town in the alternative media. I figured he was probably a dupe who had been set-up by his own paper, the Guardian, in order to lend this Snowden psyop some more credibility and in the end, to destroy a journalist viewed as the “professional left”.  I concluded that Greenwald was not an active participant in the overall psyop strategy.

I cannot in good faith support that conclusion any longer.

No Easy Way Out: Remembering Aaron Swartz on the One Year Anniversary of his Murder (archive)

What exactly was Aaron Swartz’ crime against humanity? Was it really that he “liberated” some academic papers from MIT in order to make them available without cost on the internet? Is that why the prosecution hit him with 14 felony charges facing 35 years in prison or was it something else?

Aaron Swartz was found hanged in his Brooklyn apartment a year ago today. Many, including those who profess to honor his memory and his activism, parrot the official talking points about Mr. Swartz saying he took his own life rather than face the possibility of going to prison.

That story is bullshit and anyone repeating it, ANYONE,  is NOT to be believed in any fashion. Lest we forget:

“During plea talks held in the months before his death, federal prosecutors told Aaron Swartz and his attorney that the computer prodigy must spend six months behind bars and plead guilty to 13 federal crimes in order to resolve the criminal case short of a trial.” Boston.com article from 1/14/13

“The best deal the prosecutors would offer was four months in prison with Swartz pleading guilty to 13 felonies. And they warned Peters that his client had better take it while he still could.

“They told me over and over again that the offer had been on the table,” Peters says.  “And any future offer would be less attractive.” Daily Beast 1/15/13
