A young man who came from a wealthy family and who was himself rich wanted to follow Jesus, and he was told by Jesus that he needed to give up his money if he would be allowed to be a follower. "You cannot follow two masters," he said. "Either it is mammon or God that you follow. You cannot follow both." I think we should remember this insight of Christ when dealing with mask-wearers and their ilk. They are mammonites. Until they come to listen to the voice of God that comes from within them there is no point trying to persuade them that mask-wearing is a form of treason, and of similar insights.
