Neoliberalization of America Accelerating Under Fascist Obama

Years ago I wrote about the Miracle of Chile being brought to America. This is a process  where the business elites and the Wall Street bankers use their connections in D.C. to impose the laissez-fare economic policies of Milton Friedman on the working classes and the poor of America so that they can funnel yet even more money upward to themselves through extreme privatization, deregulation, and an absolute “free market” ideology which is anything but an actual free-market.

In its purist application (like we have seen in places like Iraq, Yemen, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and others) neoliberalism is the blending of corporation and the state… what Mussolini called “fascism”. Certain large corporations (like GE) and financial institutions (Goldman Sachs) are favored and brought into the government process.  “Big Government” becomes the stated enemy while services and institutions are divided up, sold-off, and business is allowed a free hand in both private and once public affairs. Under the Obama administration, this process is kicking into high gear. We still have Goldman Sachs running Treasury and he even brought in GE’s CEO to serve as his chief of staff in the White House.  There is no question that we are now moving so far to the right in this country that one may soon enough be able to say that we are living under a fascist state.

 

Obama’s apologists will continue to try to claim that he is simply “moving to the pragmatic center”. These people are either useful idiots or they are complicit… helping provide as much cover as possible for as long as possible, till the transition of this country into a pure fascist state is irreversible.

Obama has increased the surveillance state, forced an unconstitutional mandate on the people locking them into purchasing deeply flawed insurance policies from private companies, expanded the fraudulent and extremely unpopular ”Global War on Terror” (even though he won’t call it that anymore), has turned his back on the suffering Haitians and the determined Egyptian people, has stood back and said nothing while his Secretary of State tried to frame North Korea for the sinking of the Cheonan (which could easily have started a major war in the region), facilitated the greatest transfer of wealth under the Banker Bailout Plan (12 trillion or so) and the fraudulent “Stimulus Package”, he recently announced that he was beginning his “war on regulation”, and he “compromised’ with the far right to extend the Bush Tax cuts which actually INCREASE taxes on the lower 1/3rd of working Americans while saving hundreds of billions for the wealthiest one tenth of one percent. Obama hand selected a group of neoliberal statesman to sit on his Cat Food Commission when the congress refused to put together a commission to implement the typical IMF austerity measures the globalists want imposed on us like the rest of those European nations who, up until now, enjoy good benefits, single payer health care, and worker’s rights protections put in place after WWII.

All of this has been done under the deficit pretext created by the bankers and the politicians who helped them by repealing Glass-Steagall and then making regulation of the derivatives market (the economic WMD that destroyed our economy) illegal when Brooksly Born tried to do just that in the late 90s.

Today, the “Greatest Man of Our Generation” is presenting his own deficit reduction plan which attacks the workers, the middle class, and the poor in this country like no other president has… and that includes neoliberals like Clinton and Reagan. This comes just a month after the president stuffed his White House staff with active CEOs and just two months after he signed the Bush Tax Cuts plan extension for the wealthy.

President Barack Obama, less than two months after signing tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans into law, is proposing a budget to congress that attacks programs that assist the working poor, help the needy heat their homes, expand access to graduate-level education and undermine that type of community-based organizations that gave the president his start in Chicago.

… Those cuts — roughly $100 billion each year — include squeezing social programs. A deal struck to extend the Bush tax cuts for just two years, meanwhile, increased the deficit by $858 billion dollars. More than $500 billion of that bargain constituted tax cuts, with billions more funding business tax breaks and a reduction in the estate tax. Roughly $56 billion went to reauthorize emergency unemployment benefits. Huffington Post

Meanwhile, Obama’s cat food commission members, want more suffering to pay the price for the BILLIONS they handed over to their buddies in Wall Street and big business…

…the Washington Post notes that the Democratic chairman of the fiscal commission, Erskine Bowles, isn’t satisfied with the cuts, saying it goes “nowhere near where they will have to go to resolve our fiscal nightmare.”

… “I would have preferred to see the administration get out front on addressing the entitlements and the tax reform that we need to reduce long-run deficits,” said Alice Rivlin, a commission member who served as budget director in the Clinton White House. Washington Post

Just a few months ago Obama set a 5 year freeze on federal worker’s salaries and benefits packages and he also put forward a historic corporate tax-break system that will effectively remove 500 billion in revenue for the government. His payroll tax holiday, will reduce revenue for Social Security, thus helping to undermine the solvency of that system to the point where in a couple of years they will be able to project an earlier insolvency and thus justify the privatization of the entire system.

What he has done today is not unexpected but it is quite sad. They could never have gotten away with this under a republican administration… the Clinton years taught them how it was easier to attack the poor and working classes under the liberal cover of having a fake Democrat in office.  This policy, this war on the poor, isn’t “centrist” anymore than remaining in Afghanistan is “centrist” policy.  It’s corporatist… its far-right fascism… we should call it what it is. These are the policies of Thatcher, Reagan, Bush I, and Cheney.. being sold to the gullible American left by frauds like Bill and Hillary and Barack H. Obama. They have absolutely no interest in the will of the people they govern. In fact, true democracy is their enemy.

Rule by elites, born to privilege (like George W. Bush? Cheney’s daughter, Chelsea Clinton? Rand Paul?) and their position in the ruling class….

The roots of this system, believe it or not, once again, like our privately owned Federal Reserve Bank and the mercantilism now called “free trade”,  are firmly rooted in British oligarchy…

Starting to sound familiar?

Though the Obama administration attempts to maintain the false left vs right paradigm, the truth is in fact much plainer when you look at it. Throughout his entire presidency, Obama and his staff have ONLY fought with those of us on what they call the “retarded left” or the “far left”. This includes the real liberals that are still left in this country, many of whom are life-long democrats, demoralized by what their party has become. These are the real enemies of the fascist rulers and this is why time and time again, when fascist dictators, supported by Washington and her business interests, take over a country the very first thing they do is root out the leftists, arrest them, detain or torture or kill them by the thousands.

They are also extremely “hands off” when it comes to business, but only the hand selected few businesses with connections to the regime. This is what the code word “business friendly” means in terms of political candidates. They want to make sure that certain people understand where they are in terms of ideology without letting the general public know what that really means.

Obama is no “pragmatic centrist”… he’s a fascist.  This is the job he was ordained to do by the elites in the Democratic party who tapped him for ascension back in 2004. And it won’t get better, it will simply continue to get worse just so long as his blind, desperate supporters continue to turn their backs on their fellow working Americans.

A recent revelation about how the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is using the massive counter-terrorism industry to attack leftist organizations and writers like Think Progress and Brad Friedman, illustrates how this system is actually designed to protect business interests from their real enemy, the liberal left. It’s already begun and is being given a free hand by the Obama administration.

“As I went on the air Thursday night — my fifth in a six-day guest hosting stint on the nationally syndicated Mike Malloy Show — revelations about the planned multi-million dollar political hit job by the security/intelligence firms working to develop a scheme for the U.S. Chamber (and another one, almost identical to it, on behalf of Bank of America) were just beginning to come to light. Both plots were being developed by the Chamber and BofA by the very same law firm, Hunton & Williams and with the cyber intelligence firms HBGary Federal, Berico Technologies & Palantir Technologies.

As the show began, I was able to report the news, based on an exclusive report from Lee Fang at ThinkProgress, that internal emails from one of the firms, confirmed thatVelvetRevolution.us (VR), a progressive non-partisan, non-profit organization co-founded by The BRAD BLOG, and its StopTheChamber.com campaign were specifically highlighted as targets of the Chamber’s plot which was proposed to include the planting of a “false document”, in hopes they’d be publicly released by VR or other progressive groups, so the U.S. Chamber could then claim the groups involved had created a forgery.”  Brad Friedman

Obama recently spoke before the Chamber, right about the same time he loaded his cabinet with CEOs. This is not by chance. It’s a concerted effort by the Obama administration and all their Clinton administration retreads to force this country so far to the right that we have no idea what democracy really means anymore. Interestingly, what is described is the exact same plan they used to dismantle the Truth movement. I guess if they found something that works, why not stick with it.
