Excellent rant Scott, one of your best. I would technically fall into the category of petite bourgeoisie but fortunately I don't share the trait that most of them do regarding their attitude towards the hard working people who are not as well off/fortunate as them. I consider myself on the "real" left, like you do, and I agree with every word you spoke in the video.
ReplyDeleteI was also struck by your comment regarding being seen and not heard. One of the things that really bothers me about all demands to wear facemasks is that I think it's basically saying that same message - "shut your mouth" (by keeping it covered up) and just do what you're told. Unfortunately many people do just that.
