When I was a university student in the '70s, I was given the impression by professors that Chomsky was America's foremost intellectual, and by a wide margin.
ReplyDeleteFor a long time following my university days I read Chomsky, and believed in him.
A few years ago my opinion of Chomsky changed. In large measure this change was due to Chomsky's refusal to address 9-11, but there were other reasons as well.
As of today I am repelled by Chomsky. I now think that the main reason he achieved the status he did as an American intellectual was that he was Jewish.
