Georgia’s parliament on Wednesday approved the first reading of a bill on “foreign agents” that has provoked several days of protests by critics who see it as authoritarian and Russian-inspired, Georgian media reported.
Eighty-three out of 150 deputies voted in favour of the bill, while opposition MPs boycotted the vote. It must pass two more readings before becoming law.
The bill would require organisations receiving more than 20% of their funding from abroad to register as agents of foreign influence, and has been compared by critics to a law that Russia has used extensively to crack down on dissent...

Found out by accident here that the ongoing murdercide in Gaza, Day 193 here appx,with again 40K killed at least remember there are possibly up to a few thousand more long dead not counted under the rubble--this works out to nearly 200/day killed.
ReplyDeleteThis beats by a big percentage the mid-1970's uganda, altho iirc it went on for at least 2 years there.
Turns out in the mid 70's in his rampage in uganda, idi amin averaged 125-150/day, or so they say. These were almost to a one fellow african ugandans, as the long resident asians (mostly indians) were almost all evicted late 1960's- 1972.
