The US-led coalition has sent its largest convoy of weapons and logistics supplies for its forces in Syria since the fall of the government of President Bashar Assad earlier this month, Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath have reported.
Approximately 60 loaded trucks have entered the country from Iraq via the al-Waleed border crossing, according to reports published on Monday.
The convoy was heading towards coalition bases in the Syrian provinces of Al-Hasakah and Deir ez-Zor, it added.

the intensification of US military movements, including the deployment
of armored vehicles and troops in and around the cities of Deir ez-Zor,
Raqqa and Kobani, Al-Arabiya noted.

Israel has put Gaza healthcare on ‘brink of total collapse’: UN

The Israeli regime has placed Gaza’s healthcare system on the verge of collapse, the United Nations human rights office says.
Practically all the hospitals in northern Gaza have become dysfunctional. Israel is hard at work cleansing the area of the indigenous Palestinian population.
The UN rights office said in a 28-page report issued on Tuesday that the Israeli military has carried out “at least 136 strikes on 27 hospitals and 12 other medical facilities” since October 7, 2023.
It says the strikes on health facilities have left “significant casualties among doctors, nurses, medics and other civilians and causing significant damage to, if not the complete destruction of, civilian infrastructure.”
“Israel’s pattern of deadly attacks on and near hospitals in Gaza, and associated combat, pushed the healthcare system to the brink of total collapse, with catastrophic effect on Palestinians’ access to health and medical care.”

President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday sided with key supporter and billionaire tech CEO Elon Musk in a public dispute over the use of the H-1B visa, saying he fully backs the program for foreign tech workers opposed by some of his supporters.
Trump's remarks followed a series of social media posts from Musk, the CEO of Tesla (TSLA.O) , opens new tab and SpaceX, who vowed late Friday to go to "war" to defend the visa program for foreign tech workers.
Trump, who moved to limit the visas' use during his first presidency, told The New York Post on Saturday he was likewise in favor of the visa program. "I have many H-1B visas on my properties. Syria’s new Interior Minister Mohammed Abdel Rahman says 14 "interior ministry personnel" were killed by what he described as the "remnants of the Assad regime”.
Clashes took place in multiple cities, including the coastal city of Tartus, Homs, and even the capital Damascus. It represents the most violent and widespread unrest in the country since the removal of long-time autocratic President Bashar al-Assad earlier this month.
Rahman vowed to crack down on “anyone who dares to undermine” the country’s security, endanger the lives of its citizens or halt the processes of peace and stabilising its future.
On Wednesday, demonstrations took place in the city of Homs, according to state media, and were led by members of the minority Alawite and Shia Muslim communities.
The Alawite protests were apparently in part sparked by an online video showing the burning of an Alawite shrine. The interim authorities insisted the video was old and not a recent incident.

Nearly 300 arrested in HTS crackdown on Assad loyalists in Syria: Report

A UK-based war monitor says the new rulers in Syria have detained nearly 300 people in a large-scale crackdown on loyalists to President Bashar al-Assad following the fall of his government earlier this month.
Rami Abdel Rahman, head of the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), made the remarks on Sunday after the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) administration launched a widespread arrest campaign against Assad’s loyalists earlier this week.
“In less than a week, nearly 300 people have been detained in Damascus and its suburbs, as well as in Homs, Hama, Tartus, Latakia and even Deir Ezzor,” Abdel Rahman said.

The newly-formed Syrian resistance front has issued its first statement against the new rulers in the Arab country, arguing that the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) is exercising the “Wahhabi law of swords on necks.”
The resistance front, in a statement released on Sunday, stated that the HTS administration has perpetrated various malicious acts, including thefts, violations of human rights, violent riots, corruption, chaos, sabotage and destruction of public properties ever since it took over the capital Damascus on December 8.

Millions in Istanbul plan to rally for Palestine on New Year’s Day

A civil society organization is calling on millions in Istanbul to rally on New Year’s Day for Palestine as Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip nears the 16-month mark.
Turkish Youth Foundation (TÜGVA) President Ibrahim Beşinci said the pro-Palestine rally scheduled to kick off from the Galata Bridge in Istanbul must be spread to the masses to raise awareness about Palestine.
“We cannot enter the new year while there are women and children being killed,” Beşinci told Anadolu Agency (AA).
The rally is organized by the National Will Platform, which brings together 308 civil society organizations.
Beşinci said last year’s pro-Palestine rally must be repeated “since the issue of Palestine is not receiving enough public attention with the recent increase in pro-Israel posts.”

Crashed Azerbaijani plane hit from ground – president

The passenger jet that crashed in Kazakhstan earlier this week had been struck from the ground near the Russian city of Grozny, Azeri President Ilham Aliyev has claimed.
An Embraer 190, operating as Azerbaijan Airlines flight J2-8243 from Baku to Grozny, diverted to Kazakhstan and crashed on Wednesday, killing 38 of the 67 people on board.
In a Sunday interview with the state-run broadcaster AzTV, Aliyev claimed that the aircraft “was damaged from the outside on Russian territory, near the city of Grozny, and almost got out of control.”
“We are also aware that our aircraft was rendered uncontrollable by electronic warfare means... In addition, the tail section of the plane was severely damaged by fire from the ground,” he said.
Aliyev noted that the exact circumstances of the crash would become known after the data from flight recorders is accessed. However, he insisted that the preliminary versions of the incident “are well founded and based on facts.”...
Russian President Vladimir Putin called Aliyev on Saturday to express his condolences over the deadly plane crash, the Kremlin said in a statement. Israel altered military rules of engagement after Oct. 7: Report

The Israeli military loosened its rules of engagement at the onset of its attacks on Gaza after Oct. 7, permitting commanders to launch attacks on targets, in disregard of the higher risk of civilian casualties, a report said Thursday.
The military granted mid-ranking officers the authority to strike a wide range of Hamas targets where up to 20 civilians risked being killed, The New York Times said.
The order meant for example that the military could target rank-and-file fighters while they were at home surrounded by relatives and neighbors, instead of only when they were alone outside, the newspaper said.
It said the report was based on interviews with more than 100 soldiers and officials, including more than 25 people who helped select and vet targets.

David Pakman did a short video chastising Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu for calling Elon Musk the unofficial president of the United States as he also fawned embarrassingly over the multi-billionaire, suggested he is the modern day Edison or Tesla.
Then Pakman went on to explain how Musk is sitting in on all sorts of meetings he has no business attending with world leaders, while Donald Trump played music on his stupid I-pad at Mar a Lago.
Problem for David is this: that statement by Bibi is from Sept... of 2023... while Biden was president, not Trump. Here is a link to the full 30 minute interview posted over a year ago and yes, seems like the person who posted it has edited out the part in question but it is the same interview.
Seems like Pakman may have seen this clip from Instagram of the interview which was recently posted and thought it was something that just happened.
But it isn't recent and the president being usurped wasn't Trump it was Biden.

NPR has published a ridiculous piece of propaganda bringing up the old April 2018 supposed chemical weapon attack reportedly carried out by Assad forces on the 'rebel' (al Qaeda) controlled area of the city.
In it they cite a March 2024 UN report saying:
Then former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime crumbled and so did his government's lies.
Among the most brazen? That his forces never dropped chemical weapons on Syrian civilians despite the UN finding he did so repeatedly...
... But in this area on the outskirts of Damascus everyone knows what happened on April 7, 2018. It takes just a few questions to any passerby to find survivors of the toxic chlorine attack that residents here said allowed regime forces to retake the city of Douma in the district of Ghouta from rebel forces. The UN report they link to doesn't say that. It doesn't conclude that. In fact, it is only Western backers of the regime change operation who are quoted in the report who try to make that claim.
In fact, they seem to find that ISIS, out proxy army, are the ones who used chemical weapons.
He also detailed the results of the 22 February 2024 report by the OPCW Investigation and Identification Team, which determined that there are “reasonable grounds” to believe that Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL/Da’esh) deployed sulphur mustard gas during attacks aimed at capturing the town of Marea in September 2015 UN March 2024
What a despicable level of propaganda. They can't even find a report which backs up their lies about Assad so they just run with a link to a long one they hope their lazy, racist readers wont bother checking.

The United States, Britain and France responded by launching airstrikes on targets in the Syrian capital.
Were the strikes justified? An inspector from the eight-member team sent to Douma has just come forward with disturbing allegations about the international watchdog, the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, which was tasked with obtaining and examining evidence.
Involved in collecting samples as well as drafting the OPCW’s interim report, he claims his evidence was suppressed and a new report was written by senior managers with assertions that contradicted his findings.

James Le Mesuier, founder of the hearts and minds campaign known as the White Helmets, jumped into the discussion on Twitter about the regime change operation in Syria and President Trump deciding to go back on his pledge to defund that operation early last month. James probably worried about his meal-ticket going bankrupt if social media were allowed to go on it’s own merry way exposing the fraud of his creation. So he decided to open his mouth and get involved and it’s my guess he kinda wishes he didn’t at this point.
The following is what I found after digging into this new Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Fact Finding Mission study (OPCW FFM)
We will start off with quotes from the OPCW report dated June 13, 2018
“After the FFM became aware of allegations of use of a toxic chemical as a weapon in Ltamenah, in the Hama Governorate, the team assessed the credibility of the allegations based on information collected from open sources and information received from several non-governmental organisations (NGOs).”
“During the FFM deployment to gather facts related to the use of chemicals as a weapon in Khan Shaykhun on 4 April 2017, the team also received samples...”
“For both incidents (24 and 25 March), the FFM interviewed a variety of witnesses including health workers, witnesses, first responders, and casualties. The team received environmental samples collected from the sites of the incidents.”
“Once the impact locations of the incident on 24 March 2017 were determined during the interviews, the FFM coordinated the sample collection from these locations with an NGO.”
“After an incident was reported in the media concerning alleged use of chlorine that hit a field hospital in Ltamenah on 25 March 2017, the team conducted further open-source research and commenced the collection and review of all relevant information about the allegation. The majority of sources consisted, at an initial stage, of news media and the websites of various NGOs (Annex 2).”
“Subsequently, the FFM obtained further information from NGOs and expanded its search for potential interviewees and evidence regarding this allegation.”
The
OPCW FFM (Fact Finding Mission) refused to visit the sites to collect
their samples instead relying on samples provided by an NGO, the White
Helmets, which receive funding from Saudi Arabia, England and the United
States… all external players in this conflict who have been fueling the
regime change operation since it’s inception.
They had been offered access to these sites and refused to inspect them themselves.

Recent NYT article inadvertently makes it clear that Bashar al Assad was removed one way or the other from power in Syria by his trusted generals. It wasn't Turkey that did it, it wasn't Erdogan. It was out influence on Syrian generals and perhaps the Prime Minister that ousted Assad before he could announce his plan to share power with the legitimate opposition in Syria. We did that, I believe, because its the only way to hand over Syria to the Greater Israel project.

Assad was doing what he had been told to do by the advisors from places like Turkey and Egypt. He was making a deal to share power with the legitimate opposition in Turkey. But that wasn't enough. As Jeffrey Sachs recently put it, Israel had other plans for that land. They wanted it for Greater Israel and a power sharing deal would not permit that so... we whacked him and concocted this bullshit story about him setting all this up then just taking a powder.
As I have said before, if he would alive he would have done an interview by now and they damn sure wouldn't have come out with that stupid Telegram message from him because they would have known he would come out and discredit it.

The United States prepared and bolstered an armed group in southern Syria weeks prior to the offensive that ousted President Bashar al-Assad, a Western media report says.
In the first indication that Washington had prior knowledge of the offensive, the group known as Revolutionary Commando Army (RCA) revealed it had been told to scale-up its forces and “be ready” for an attack that could lead to the end of the Assad government, the Telegraph reported.
The RCA fighters, trained by Britain and the US, were told "this is your moment" during a briefing by US Special Forces stationed in the Arab country before Assad was toppled on December 8, the report noted.
The RCA fighters said Washington had prior knowledge of the offensive, which was mainly led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). The RCA was told to increase its forces and prepare for a major attack that could "end" the Syrian government.
Capt Bashar al-Mashadani, an RCA commander said in the weeks preceding the offensive, the RCA's ranks were expanded by smaller "freelance" units, all of which were briefed at the US al-Tanf air base.
“They did not tell us how it would happen,” al-Mashadani told The Telegraph from a former Syrian army air base on the outskirts of the city of Palmyra.
“We were just told: ‘Everything is about to change. This is your moment. Either Assad will fall, or you will fall.’ But they did not say when or where, they just told us to be ready.”
The RCA is an armed group established by defected Syrian Arab Army (SAA) troops and is headquartered in the al-Tanf area, near the Syria-Jordan-Iraq border area, in southern Syria.
US forces are also stationed in the al-Tanf area, where they claim to be fighting the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group in the region.

According to the British newspaper, the RCA remains on the US's payroll, as Washington claims to require their assistance to prevent the resurgence of Daesh. All members of the force continued to be armed by the US and to receive their salary of $400 a month...

Efforts to locate the wreckage of the Boeing 777 have sputtered over the years and hundreds of families of those on board remain haunted by the tragedy.
On Friday, Malaysia's transport minister Anthony Loke said the cabinet approved in principle a $70m (£56m) deal with US-based marine exploration firm Ocean Infinity to find the aircraft.
Under a "no find, no fee" arrangement, Ocean Infinity will get paid only when the wreckage is found.
A 2018 search for the MH370 wreckage by Ocean Infinity under similar terms ended unsuccessfully after three months...

The Land of Israel Caucus in the Israeli Knesset will propose a new bill aimed at preventing the establishment of a Palestinian state through the transfer of territories, Israeli media reported on Wednesday.
The Israel Hayom newspaper stated that the Israel Security Law would require an absolute majority of at least 80 Knesset members to approve any agreement involving the transfer of lands in the occupied West Bank.
According to the report, the Constitution Committee, chaired by Knesset member Simcha Rothman, a leading figure in the Caucus, is expected to discuss the proposal soon. For the first time, the bill would apply the Referendum Law to the entire West Bank and territorial waters.
The proposal stipulates that any agreement involving the transfer of lands or the establishment of a Palestinian state would require either an absolute majority of 61 Knesset members and a public referendum, or alternatively, a supermajority of 80 Knesset members...
Israel Hayom also cited the leaders of the Land of Israel Caucus as saying, "There is broad consensus in Israeli society and the Knesset that a Palestinian state must not be established."
It is noteworthy that in mid-July, the Israeli Knesset voted to pass a resolution rejecting the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Parties from Netanyahu's coalition and right-wing parties from the opposition, including Benny Gantz's State Camp party, co-sponsored the resolution.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said in the Knesset, "The Palestinian State cannot be established because there is no such thing as a Palestinian people."

The Israeli prime minister says the regime's troops will remain stationed at a so-called “buffer zone” inside the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, seized following the fall of President Bashar al-Assad, until another arrangement is found that will "ensure the usurping regime’s security."
Benjamin Netanyahu made the comments on Tuesday from the summit of Mount Hermon, known as Jabal al-Shaykh in Arabic, the highest peak in the area — inside Syria, about 10 kilometers (6 miles) from the border with the strategic Golan Heights.

In all probability, they did this in order to put questions about his murder by these terrorists or by traitors in Syria to rest. All it does is prove he was murdered as they wouldn't put out a statement like this if he were alive because they would worry he will come out and denounce it as a fraud.

The US government and its Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) utilize the social media platform Telegram to instigate riots and protest movements against international governments it deems undesirable, former US State Department official Mike Benz said in an interview with Tucker Carlson on Wednesday.
Benz, who served under the Trump administration and is currently a free speech activist at the Foundation for Freedom Online, was asked by the American journalist about potential US involvement in the recent arrest of Telegram co-founder and CEO Pavel Durov in France earlier this week...
"26 US-government-funded NGOs" denounced Russia's attempt to ban the instant messaging application in 2018 since it was being used by the US State Department for its encryption and local popularity "to foment protests and riots within Russia – just as they did in Belarus, Iran, Hong Kong, and attempted to do in China," Benz told Carlson.
The former US official added that Telegram's encryption serves as a powerful feature of evading state control over media while enabling "US-funded political groups or dissidents to garner tens of thousands of supporters with relative impunity."
Benz stated that Telegram was the US' "main channel" for "effectively orchestrating a color revolution in Belarus" in 2020. He noted that "The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) was actually paying the main administrators of the Telegram channels that orchestrated those riots," adding that the NED was "one of the most prolific CIA cutouts in the arsenal."..

Assad says he didn't intend to leave Syria, statement claims

They would not do such a thing if Assad were alive to contradict it and of course, Assad would not release such a statement to them to release. That's laughably fake. Syria's former President Bashar al-Assad says he never intended to flee to Russia - in what is purported to be his first statement since the fall of Damascus eight days ago.
Assad's reported statement was put on the Telegram channel belonging to the Syrian presidency on Monday, although it is not clear who currently controls it - or whether he wrote it.
In it he says that, as the Syrian capital fell to rebels, he went to a Russian military base in Latakia province "to oversee combat operations" only to see that Syrian troops had abandoned positions.
Hmeimim airbase had also come under "intensified attack by drone strikes" and the Russians had decided to airlift him to Moscow, he says.
In the statement - published both in Arabic and English - the former Syrian leader reportedly describes what happened on 8 December - and how he was apparently besieged at the Russian base...

Introduction
On October 7, 2023, Palestinian militants breached the Israel-Gaza border fence into Israel, killing at least 1,200 people and taking a further 251 into Gaza. Israel subsequently launched one of the most intense military campaigns of the 21st century. As of November 2024, more than 43,000 Palestinians have been killed, according to official statistics from the Palestinian Ministry of Health (MoH) in Gaza.
The international community has raised grave concern about Israeli military practice and the unprecedented scale of civilian harm. The United Nations has repeatedly warned that Israel is breaching international law and even United States (US) President Joe Biden, a staunch ally of Israel, eventually labelled the military response “over the top.” In January 2024, South Africa brought a claim of genocide against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
Israeli officials argue that the military does everything possible to avoid harming civilians, and say that Hamas’ tactic of embedding itself in the civilian population makes civilian harm an inevitable byproduct of seeking to destroy Hamas’ military infrastructure. Israel also claims that the level of civilian harm in Gaza is broadly consistent with, and even favourable to, other comparable conflicts in recent decades, including the US-led bombing campaign against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

Syria’s de-facto new ruler has broken his silence on the Israeli regime’s ongoing assaults on the Arab nation since President Bashar al-Assad was overthrown, saying that Damascus “will not engage” in a conflict with Tel Aviv.
“We are not about to engage in a conflict with Israel,” Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) leader Ahmed al-Sharaa said on Syrian TV on Saturday, citing the country’s “weakened state” as the reason.
The founder of the Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda and the former-deputy commander of Daesh (ISIS) also said that Israel has no longer any reason to attack the country because “Hezbollah and Iran are no more.”
