US Troops and Diplomats Evacuating Posts Across the Middle East

The US military has been scaling back its presence at bases across the Middle East, and the US has ordered staff reductions at multiple diplomatic posts in the region, NBC News reported Wednesday, amid growing signs that the US and Israel may be preparing to launch another attack on Iran.

Sources told NBC that similar drawdowns were carried out before the US and Israel launched the war against Iran on February 28. US troops at bases in Jordan are among those that have been moved as Iran pounded the facilities during exchanges of strikes in the summer, attacks that caused significant US casualties. The US is also pulling troops out of facilities in Kuwait and Qatar.

One US official told the outlet that moving troops out of harm’s way was part of the US military’s planning as President Trump considers restarting “major combat operations” against Iran potentially before or after the November 3 US midterm elections. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also appears eager to restart the bombing campaign as he’s facing elections in less than a week...

Pezeshkian: Iran will not bow to US pressure, but does not seek war

“We are not seeking war, but we will absolutely not bow to the enemy’s force and bullying,” Pezeshkian said on Wednesday, addressing the 30th National Export Day ceremony, where the country’s leading exporters were honored.

The president said the United States had underestimated Iran’s ability to withstand military attacks and sanctions, adding that the Iranian nation had demonstrated its resilience and would continue to stand firm.

“The Americans imagine we cannot withstand their attacks and sanctions, but we will stand firm,” he said.

Pezeshkian also criticized Washington for launching military attacks against Iran while negotiations were underway. He referred to the assassination of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, military commanders and scientists, as well as attacks that killed students.

Pentagon Plans To Withhold Report on Minab School Massacre Past Midterms

Bloomberg reported on Thursday that top Pentagon officials have expressed that they will withhold the release of an internal report on the US bombing of the Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab, southern Iran, which massacred at least 120 children, through the midterm elections.

According to an earlier Bloomberg investigation into the attack, within hours of the strikes, Pentagon personnel were aware that the US was responsible, but the Trump administration has still not admitted to carrying out the attack.

The new Bloomberg report said that advisors to US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth have conveyed to other Pentagon personnel that the report on the massacre, which found flawed intelligence, outdated imagery, and an overreliance on AI contributed to the attack, will not be shared with the public before the November 3 elections. The Pending Maj. Nidal Hasan Execution and False Flag Event UPDATE

A couple days ago I made a video regarding Pete Hegseth's announcement that they were going to execute via firing squad Maj. Nidal Hasan for an alleged attack in Fort Hood back in 2009... 17 years ago.

It's all of a sudden real important that they shoot this guy on live stream while he sits in a wheelchair after all this time so much so that they are planning to do it on Dec. 3^rd

Clearly this is a set-up for a pretext for a false flag event. Trump has said that the Iran situation will be resolved after the mid-term elections and the only two things he can do is completely withdraw our forces or go all in on behalf of glorious Israel.

I believe he is going with the latter choice.

Why is President Obama trying use the ‘states secrets” excuse to thwart a preliminary injunction brought by Anwar Al-Aulaqi’s father? Because if he doesn’t he could be impeached and the truth about this story, were it to come out in court and then go mainstream, would expose the Global War on Terror as a complete fraud. That’s why.

The evidence is there and the history of the story is undeniable; President Obama killed 41 innocent civilians including 14 women and 21 children with a BGM-109D Tomahawk missile strike on Dec. 17th 2009. That is a fact.

Then, to retroactively justify what the president of CHANGE did, the state department allowed a ”terrorist” onto a plane on Christmas day after his father had warned them several times about his motives. That is also a fact.

It was at that point that a contract was put out on the life of a U.S. citizen to retroactively justify the Dec. 17th 2009 attack which killed civilians, mainly children, in a country we are not at war with.

Though that bullshit official story will hold up under the “scrutiny” of a complicit media, it would shatter under cross-examination in a court of law and the Obama administration damn well knows it.

The only “political question” here is the survival of our Peace Laureate president.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s announcement that the execution of the convicted Fort Hood mass shooter would be shown in public caught people across the Pentagon and the Army off guard, three sources familiar with the matter told CNN.

Hegseth made the announcement in an interview with far-right podcaster Jack Posobiec aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln on Wednesday, which he’d visited to give a speech to the crew welcoming them home from their deployment to the Middle East.

“We’ll make sure that people are able to watch it, that it’s public, because people need to understand that there’s serious consequences for these types of things,” Hegseth said during the interview. 

That comment was the first time many in the Army and Pentagon heard about the idea of a firing squad’s execution of Nidal Hasan in Texas being made public, and there were immediately questions about what “public” would mean. There are Army regulations about who can watch a military execution, including family of the prisoner and of the victims, media representatives and a chaplain.

But it was decided by Hegseth, acting Army Secretary Adam Telle, and Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell and his staff that “public” would mean it would be livestreamed, one source familiar said. The Pentagon then confirmed as much to the media, saying in a statement, “The Secretary is correct. It will be livestreamed. Details will follow.”

The United States is deploying a third aircraft carrier strike group to waters in the Middle East close to Iran, a US official has told Al Jazeera, as the war enters its eighth month and both sides weigh escalation and diplomatic engagement... 

A US official told Al Jazeera that the USS Theodore Roosevelt carrier strike group left its San Diego base on Sunday, bound for the region, followed a day later by the Makin Island Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), which is carrying more than 2,000 Marines.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the strike group and naval deployments could involve an additional 9,000 to 10,000 US troops in total, including sailors and Marines assigned to the carrier strike group and other ships.

By the end of November, the official said, three aircraft carriers and two amphibious landing groups will be positioned near Iran.

The official said the concentration of force would hand President Donald Trump a wider menu of options if he decides to act.

Al Jazeera’s Tanya Noury, reporting from Washington, said the new deployment, which includes F-35 fighter jets, will add to the roughly 50,000 US service members already stationed in the region...

It says silence in the face of such policies makes Americans complicit in decisions taken in their name. The country's "archival performance", marked by inefficiency, sabotage and coercion, betrays "conflicting visions of the past" and a sometimes fragile grip on power. From its establishment, the family's authority rested largely on American corporations, ARAMCO above all, and on the United States government, which shielded it from widespread, if erased, anti-colonial and anti-authoritarian mobilisation at home and from regional rivals. Yet the struggle to hold power on its own terms made plain the need for a state-sanctioned historical narrative. 

The desire to control the narrative is not merely an archival matter. In 2009, Prince Khalid bin Sultan led Operation Scorched Earth, a Saudi intervention in Yemen that quickly became a quagmire and ended in humiliating retreat. The official narrative never admitted failure, but Khalid's later disappearance from public life suggests he was made to shoulder the blame.

In a report set to be presented to the Human Rights Council, the mission said the US aggression involved Tomahawk missile strikes on the clearly identifiable Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab, killing more than 150 people, including around 120 girls and boys.

200 nights, one flag

On Kharg Island, the darkness settles over the humid waters of the Persian Gulf. In Shiraz, the lights of the squares come on beneath the evening sky. In Sanandaj, people make their way toward Azadi Square. In Birjand, families gather in the cold. In Tonekabon, on the Caspian coast, an elderly war veteran walks slowly toward the crowd.

And in Arak, beneath the lights of Martyrs Square, a woman sits behind a sewing machine.

Her name is Zahra Fattahi.

For almost 200 nights, she has brought the machine with her, repairing damaged Iranian flags and preparing them to be raised again.

That image — a woman, a sewing machine, a piece of torn fabric and a square filled with people — may say more about these nights than any official statement.

Two hundred nights have now passed since nightly gatherings began in cities across Iran following the outbreak of war. What started in the immediate aftermath of the conflict has, according to reports by Mehr News Agency correspondents, continued through heat, humidity, rain and winter cold.

The gatherings have been different from city to city. Some have centered on mourning. Others have included cultural programs, Quran recitations, music, children's activities, food and tea booths, speeches and family gatherings.

Iranian Security Chief Says No Talks With US Until ‘Iran’s Conditions Are Met’
