South Africa vs Israel: 14 other countries intend to join the ICJ Israeli Genocide case

Fourteen countries have announced their intention to intervene in the context of South Africa’s complaint, which accuses Israel of “genocide” in the Gaza Strip, before the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
The interveners do not formally join a party or a complaint, but simply present their position on the law (and, in some cases, the facts) without formally taking sides.
The latest to do so is Bolivia on 9 October, following Chile and Maldives. Spain has been in June the third European country to make this announcement after Belgium and Ireland. South Africa filed its complaint on 29 December, 2023, with the ICJ, the United Nations court responsible for resolving disputes between states. Pretoria accuses Israel of violating the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide in its military assault on Gaza.
The offensive has destroyed large parts of the Palestinian enclave, killed more than 43,000 civilians, and led to massive population displacements. The lack of access to international humanitarian aid is also causing famine to threaten Gaza, according to UN reports. On 24 May, the Court ordered Israel to “immediately cease its military offensive” in the city of Rafah, in southern Gaza. So far, Israel has not complied with this decision...

UN finds Israel’s actions in Gaza meet genocide criteria

Israel's warfare in Gaza is consistent with the characteristics of genocide, a special U.N. committee said Thursday, accusing the country of "using starvation as a method of war."
Israel's warfare practices in Gaza "are consistent with the characteristics of genocide," the U.N. Special Committee to Investigate Israeli practices said in a newly released report, pointing to the "mass civilian casualties and life-threatening conditions intentionally imposed on Palestinians there."
"Since the beginning of the war, Israeli officials have publicly supported policies that strip Palestinians of the very necessities required to sustain life – food, water and fuel," the committee said, adding that Israel has systematically interfered with humanitarian aid to use vital supplies for political and military ends.
Covering the period from October 2023 (when the Gaza offensive began) to July 2024, the report highlighted the devastating impact of Israel’s ongoing siege and bombing campaigns. It underscored how the destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure, including water, sanitation and food systems, has led to a humanitarian disaster.
"By destroying vital water, sanitation, and food systems and contaminating the environment, Israel has created a lethal mix of crises that will inflict severe harm on generations to come," the committee warned...

Iran, Syria underscore halt to Israeli aggression on Gaza, Lebanon

Iran and Syria have discussed further solidification of bilateral relations amid heightened escalation in the region as they underscore the need for putting an end to Israel’s atrocious onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
Ali Larijani, a senior advisor to the Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad met in the capital Damascus on Thursday, with their talks revolving around the latest developments in the region, not least the Israeli regime’s ongoing aggression on Gaza and southern Lebanon.
The two exchanged their views on Tehran-Damascus relations and the means of enhancing them in the interest of their nations and regional countries.
Larijani, also a member of Iran’s Expediency Council, stressed the Islamic Republic’s standing by Syria and its willingness to provide all forms of support for it, hailing the pivotal role of Damascus in the region and aspiration to boost the role in the service of regional states and their people.
Assad, for his part, underlined his country’s adherence to the Palestinian historic rights and support for the struggle of the Lebanese and Palestinian people with all means...

World's Most Cowardly Army, IDF, Kills Kids by Remote

A doctor who helped people in Gaza reported on how the IDF used remote operated quad-copter drones to kill children.
Short of pedophiles, could anything be more loathsome and despicable than that? Cowards sitting in an air-conditioned trailer somewhere sipping coffee while zeroing in on children, some already wounded and lying on the ground, then pulling the trigger.
On children.
Perhaps the messianic Zionist settlers blocking food, water and aid to a starving population in Northern Gaza simply because they want to steal MORE LAND rates up there. Perhaps IDF officers giving the order to their helicopter pilots and tank commanders to fire on Israeli citizens because they feared they MIGHT be accompanied by some Palestinians in their cars could rank up there as well.
For the most part, everything the IDF has done SINCE Oct 7 2023 has been pretty much an object lesson in how not to conduct a military campaign of any sort.
Leaves one to conclude the average IDF soldier is just a soulless husk of human excrement begging the world to ignore their vile, reprehensible actions of late.
But if Nuremberg teaches us anything it's that the world, the world of real humans, does NOT forget and will NEVER forgive.
There are rules to this thing called life after all. Even in the worst prisons the most hated convicts are those who harm children. It is an instinct. It is, even among the worst of us, what makes us human.
