As of 7:30am Monday Dec. 15th, this is what I know thus far:
On Sunday a Hanukkah event was taking place on Bondi Beach, just outside of Sydney, Australia. Sydney was the location of the massive demonstration this past August where 300,000 Australians showed up displaying their solidarity with the Palestinian people and calling for an end to the genocide in Gaza.
At sometime a red car pulls up on the street side of a pedestrian bridge which leads over to the beach and two men got out carrying a rifle and a shotgun. There were perhaps more weapons in the car. Police report that somehow the two planted bombs or IEDs in another car, a silver car, parked elsewhere. No explanation as to how that is supposed to have worked has been provided to my knowledge.
The two men were father and son, the son being identified by U.S. intelligence as 24-year-old Naveed Akram from Bonnyrigg. The father, Sajid Akram, who died at the scene, was 50.
Australian authorities have not officially released the names of the victims.
Interestingly, as is usually the case in these matters, the suspects were known to Australian authorities.
' The son is an Australian-born citizen who first came to the attention of the police in 2019 “on the basis of being associated with others,” Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke said on Monday. Neither of them were known to have any history of previous criminal offenses, according to the police.' New York Times

'In October 2019, Australia’s intelligence agency examined the son for ties to a self-proclaimed Islamic State terrorist, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said in a Monday press conference. Albanese said the agency decided there had been “no indication of any ongoing threat”.
On Sunday evening, two men allegedly left improvised explosive devices in a silver car near Bondi’s beachfront, according to law enforcement, before heading towards the beach.' Reuters

'Mr. Albanese told ABC that the younger gunman first came to the attention of the police in 2019 because of his connections to two other people, whom he did not identify. Police also interviewed his father, the older gunman, at the time. But Australia’s intelligence service assessed them and determined that there was no evidence that they had been radicalized.' Times
There is always a story of an IED being left behind. I don't know why they do that.
Notice what they say... the 24-year-old son was involved with the Australian feds back when he was 19 yet there were no charges brought against him. He was involved in the investigation of someone else, a self proclaimed ISIS member.
Does that mean they used the son to get close to a suspect? Was the son under investigation or was he an undercover informant?
Something else that is interesting... of Australia's 870,000 Muslim citizens, the worst shooting event and certainly the most influential of all time in the country involved two men... who had already had extensive contact with federal law enforcement.
The vast majority of Australia's Muslim citizens live in Sydney and Melbourne which explains part of why the turnout for the Palestine Solidarity march on the Sydney Harbor Bridge back in August was so large.
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the bravery of the Jewish people was on display when a bystander at the shooting rushed one of the shooters (the father I believe) and took his gun from him. The man who did that was Ahmed el Ahmed, a local business owner and Muslim from Syria.
'Yes, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu initially characterized a key act of bravery during the Bondi Beach attack as an example of "Jewish heroism" before the individual was identified . The person in the widely shared video footage, who tackled and disarmed one of the gunmen, was later identified by Australian media as Ahmed al Ahmed, a 43-year-old Syrian Muslim man and local fruit shop owner. He was shot twice and hospitalized for his injuries.' Google AI
Netanyahu also said he had sent a letter to Albanese warning him of the dangers of 'emboldening the terrorists' by announcing Australia's decision to recognize Palestine as a state back in September of 2025. An ominous warning if you ask me.
Almost sounded like a threat because it is a threat. 'Do what I want or there will an event'... kind of threat.
'After two gunmen targeted a Hanukkah event in Australia and killed at least 15 people, Netanyahu said he warned Albanese in August that his decision to call for Palestinian statehood “pours fuel on the antisemitic fire.” Netanyahu said his August letter warned “that the Australian Government’s policy was promoting and encouraging antisemitism in Australia.” Washington Examiner
Albanese didn't take this kind of threat lightly.
' Mr. Albanese also pushed back against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel’s accusation that Australia’s decicision to recognize Palestinian statehood had fueled antisemitism, saying his government had given substantial resources to the police and intelligence agencies to combat antisemitism. “And overwhelmingly, most of the world recognises a two-state solution as being the way forward in the Middle East,” he said...
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said in a televised interview with the ABC, the Australian broadcaster, that there was no indication the two gunmen were acting as part of a wider terror group. “There’s no evidence of collusion, no evidence that these people were part of a cell,” he said, adding that the younger attacker was in a coma. ' Times
Was the young man an asset of the Australian state intelligence agencies? Isn't it odd that these two had a history with them and were not 'radicalized' and the same thing happened with the Boston Bombing. Isn't that odd?
There is video of the arrest of the younger shooter up on the pedestrian bridge but I wont post it here. You can go watch it on this site.
The father had made it back to the bridge while the son kept shooting at law enforcement. At one time during the shootout some guy walks calmly down the sidewalk. Odd behavior.
The son reportedly told his family back home that he and the father were taking a fishing trip.

UPDATE: One of the fatalities was reported as a 10-year-old girl and another, according to Macron, was a French citizen.
A third victim is supposedly the head of the local Chabad house. He was also the organizer of the event and a stanch Zionist who had made several trips to Israel and Gaza showing his support of the genocide taking place there.
It is important to understand that Israel and the West often hire Palestinians and other Muslims to carry out acts of violence against their own people which in a way this is as it will result in harsher restrictions and surveillance of Muslims in Australia while simultaneously helping Israel turn the tide in that country and others against the Palestinian cause. Here is a recent example.
