Tucker Carlson has claimed that an American citizen named Gonzalo Lira died in Ukrainian custody after eight months of imprisonment. Lira was reportedly arrested in May of the previous year.
In a post on X, Carlson stated, "Gonzalo Lira, Sr. says his son has died at 55 in a Ukrainian prison, where he was being held for the crime of criticizing the Zelensky and Biden governments. Gonzalo Lira was an American citizen, but the Biden administration clearly supported his imprisonment and torture. Several weeks ago we spoke to his father, who predicted his son would be killed."
In a December video, Carlson had detailed Lira's arrest and alleged "torture." He claimed that the Chilean-American war commentator, residing in Ukraine, was detained shortly after posting videos criticizing US President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy...read more here
