A little more info on Elon Musk and Marco Rubio's pick to run their rebranded USAID. Remember, USAID gave 2.1 billion in aid to Gaza since Oct. 7th 2023.

USAID has provided more than $2.1 billion in aid to Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023. Speaking on an audio stream described as the first "Dogecast" podcast, Musk said USAID was "hopeless" based on his team's findings.

That wont happen again.

Pete Marocco has worked for USAID for a while. During that time it seems he ran the regime destabilization and change operations it has become known for.

Pete also did work for something called the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI) as a member of the Advisory Council.

FPRI hosted a joint conference with the Irregular Warfare Center. You know, the Special Operations folks who are tasked to run color revolutions and destabilization campaigns via proxy armies (terrorists) in countries we want to overthrow? Yeah, those guys.

FPRI also recently did a study on how wonderful the opportunities are in Syria now that Assad has been murdered and we have our own al Qaeda guy in charge over there.

Dov Zakheim works for FPRI as does Robert Zoelick.

Pete Marocco should be known by the company he keeps and the work he has done.

While Scott Ritter and Max Blumenthal sing Elon's praises for regime changing USAID, leave it to little old me to give you the truth about it all.

Elon Musk has contracts with USAID in Ukraine via his Starlink company. Marco Rubio is a neocon who never opposed a single USAID regime change operation in his life. And Pete Marocco? He's a destabilization and regime change specialist who has headed up such programs at USAID for years. These guys want USAID to stop giving billions in aid to places like Gaza and instead redirect that money to Elon's pockets and more regime change operations. Period.

Rubio Says He Now Runs Aid Agency, as Staff Are Blocked From Systems

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Monday that he had taken over as acting administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development, assuming control of an agency that had functioned largely independently for over 60 years and stoking fears about U.S. assistance around the world.

Mr. Rubio’s announcement came after a week of drastic changes at U.S.A.I.D., the government’s lead agency for humanitarian aid and development assistance. Senior officials have been suspended, and hundreds of civil servants and contractors have been iced out of U.S.A.I.D. systems without warning.

Many of the cuts were rolled out in secret and without warning, as representatives of Elon Musk, who was deputized by President Trump to lead a task force to reduce government spending, took over its operations despite objections from aid workers and Democrats in Congress.

Speaking to reporters in El Salvador, Mr. Rubio said that many of U.S.A.I.D.’s programs were worthwhile and would continue under the umbrella of the State Department, promising to delegate the day-to-day operations to Pete Marocco, the department’s director of foreign assistance.

In a letter to the top Republicans and Democrats on the House and Senate committees on foreign affairs and related appropriations, Mr. Rubio said that Mr. Marocco would “begin the review and potential reorganization of U.S.A.I.D.’s activities to maximize efficiency and align operations with the national interest.”

Mr. Rubio added that the review might include “the suspension or elimination” of programs, projects, missions, bureaus, centers and offices, and that the U.S.A.I.D. “may be abolished consistent with applicable law.”...

You do realize that Elon is just the bad guy here, right? He can't just say USAID is no more and suddenly it happens. Someone shut down their website. Someone with real authority told their staff not to show up at work this morning. Someone had two of the heads of USAID resign.

There are a lot of people working on this demolition project and Elon is just the front-man for it. Elon and Trump. 

Elon can't shut down government servers just by speaking them out of existence.  They are literally remaking our government into their own fascist wet dream, like when we overthrow a country and install a brutal dictator to take over.

That's what's happening.

America is being systematically dismantled right before our eyes while Trump and his cronies are about to 'make the economy scream' so they can use the crisis as an opportunity to remake everything back in the mold of 1870s Gilded Age.

While folks like Jimmy Dore and Joe Rogan are sitting back watching em do and cheering them on.

Tech billionaire Elon Musk said Monday that he and President Donald Trump were in the process of shutting down the U.S. Agency for International Development, escalating their war on the federal bureaucracy and defying the constitutional power of Congress to determine how money is spent...

“We’re shutting it down,” he said. At another point, he said "we’re in the process” of “shutting down USAID.”   Musk did not say what legal authority he believed the White House has to shut down a federal agency without congressional approval, or how quickly the administration planned to act. 

He said the idea had “the full support of the president” and that he had spoken with Trump on the matter several times.   

“With regard to the USAID stuff, I went over [it] with him in detail, and he agreed that we should shut it down,” he said. “I actually checked with him a few times [and] said, ‘Are you sure?’” he said. He said that Trump responded, “Yes.”   

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Musk’s announcement early Monday...

Dow futures slammed by 600 points after Trump hits Canada, Mexico and China with tariffs

Stock futures dropped to kick off a new trading month after President Donald Trump hit several key U.S. trading partners with tariffs, raising fears that a full-blown trade war would disrupt global supply chains, reignite inflation and slow the economy.

Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 616 points, or 1.4%. S&P 500 futures dropped 1.6%, while Nasdaq-100 futures lost 1.8%. Futures on the Russell 2000, the small-cap benchmark, lost 2.1%. The Cboe Volatility Index, Wall Street’s fear gauge, briefly spiked above 20 before trading around 19.

The impact from the new tariffs ricocheted around the globe in a risk-off move:

• Major European equity markets sunk with Germany’s Dax benchmark off by nearly 2%.
• Bitcoin tumbled to around the 95,000 level from above $102,000 before the weekend. Ether lost 12%.
• The ICE U.S. Dollar Index, a measure of the U.S. dollar versus several currencies, leaped 1%.
• WTI crude oil jumped 2% on concern of supply disruptions in North America from the new tariffs.

President Donald Trump on Saturday slapped a 25% tariff on goods from Mexico and Canada. He also placed a 10% levy on imports from China. Energy imports from Canada received a lower 10% tariff. Canada responded with retaliatory tariffs of its own, while Mexico said it would explore levies on U.S. imports. The Chinese government, meanwhile, said it would file a lawsuit with the World Trade Organization.

The focus on oil prices increase is evident as these tariffs have sparked concerns regarding potential disruptions in oil supply chains, especially from Canada and Mexico, which are major crude suppliers to the U.S.

Tariffs raise concerns for oil supply

At 20:05 ET (01:05 GMT), Brent Oil Futures were 0.6 percent higher at $76.13 a barrel, while crude oil WTI futures expiring in March jumped 1.1 percent to $72.75 a barrel. The new tariffs, effective Tuesday, impose a 25 percent levy on goods from Canada and Mexico and a 10 percent tariff on imports from China. Notably, Canadian energy products were also among the targeted items, facing a 10 percent levy.

Impact on U.S. oil imports and refiners

The U.S. imports approximately 4 million barrels of Canadian oil and nearly 500,000 barrels of Mexican oil daily. The newly imposed tariffs are anticipated to drive up costs for U.S. refiners, particularly those located in the Midwest and Gulf Coast regions, which could result in higher fuel prices and potential production cuts.

Here’s What Air Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems Can And Can’t Do

Using the transponder signals, the system builds a three-dimensional map of the surrounding airspace, with aircraft movements plotted within this. Based on respective aircraft and flight paths, speeds, and altitudes, TCAS then automatically provides the crews with an alert of a possible mid-air collision danger. In some modern airliners, the process of avoiding action will be taken without any pilot action, using a technology known as auto-TCAS... 

Furthermore, TCAS is intended to ensure flight safety at higher altitudes, thereby reinforcing the requirement to maintain at least 1,000 feet of vertical separation — or more, depending on flight level. For aircraft operating at lower altitudes, TCAS is inhibited. Specifically, ‘Increase Descent’ warnings are inhibited below 1,550 feet AGL, ‘Descend’ warnings are inhibited below 1,100 feet AGL, and all types of warnings are inhibited below 1,000 feet AGL. Terrain and other obstacles can also interfere with transponder signals during very low-level flight...

Initial reports suggest that Flight 5342 and the Black Hawk helicopter collided at an altitude of somewhere between 200 feet and around 400 feet, although this is not confirmed...

AA5342: Seems like It Wasn't DEI, Biden, Obama or even Trump

It looks like there is a discrepancy in the altitude of the Blackhawk helicopter and AA5342's which likely at least played a part in the horrible accident that occurred the other night. Recording from the air traffic controller and the pilots involved showed the people in the control tower did their jobs admirably. So much for both DEI and under-staffing theories.

The world’s richest man may now have access to the confidential personal information of every taxpayer in the United States. According to the New York Times and Wall Street Journal, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Friday granted Elon Musk and his minions at the faux-agency DOGE full access to the Treasury’s massive federal payment system. As with the rest of Musk’s wide-reaching project within the U.S. government under Donald Trump, it’s not at all clear what he plans to do with this unprecedented access.

Also on Friday, the top civil servant at the Treasury Department, David Lebryk, was apparently ousted after he refused to give Department of Government Efficiency officials access to the system — or rather, per the Times, he “was put on leave and then suddenly retired on Friday after the dispute, according to people familiar with his exit.”

Lebryk had worked at Treasury for three decades, and had been the Trump-named acting Treasury secretary until Bessent was confirmed by the Senate on Monday...

Preliminary data from the deadliest U.S. aviation accident in nearly 25 years showed conflicting readings about the altitudes of an airliner and Army helicopter when they collided near Reagan National Airport in Washington, killing everyone aboard both aircraft, investigators said Saturday.

Investigators also said that about a second before impact, the jet’s flight recorder showed a change in its pitch. But they did not say whether that change in angle meant that pilots were trying to perform an evasive maneuver to avoid the crash.

Data from the jet’s flight recorder showed its altitude as 325 feet (99 meters), plus or minus 25 feet (7.6 meters), when the crash happened Wednesday night, National Transportation Safety Board officials told reporters. Data in the control tower, though, showed the Black Hawk helicopter at 200 feet (61 meters) at the time...
