Hamas has called for global anti-Israel protests as the occupying entity intensifies its aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip and deepens an already catastrophic humanitarian crisis in the war-ravaged Palestinian territory.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Palestinian resistance movement denounced the Tel Aviv regime for genocide, ceasefire violations, and contempt for international law, issuing a sweeping call for global protests against Israel’s years-long campaign of genocide and destruction in Gaza.
The statement – titled “A Global Call for Protests & Pressure Campaigns Against the Continued Aggression and Genocide Targeting Our Palestinian People in the Gaza Strip” – detailed the latest phase of Israel’s aggression, emphasizing the deliberate targeting of Palestinians and the destruction of basic shelter for an already besieged population.
“In light of the fascist occupation,” the Israeli regime’s “continued brutal aggression against our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip through escalating brutal raids and bombardment, committing the most horrific crimes of systematic killing by blowing up and destroying the tents and homes of defenseless civilians, as well as exacerbating their humanitarian suffering,” Hamas said.
The statement then condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet for willfully undermining diplomatic efforts and trampling upon international law.
