The Israeli occupation’s parliament, Knesset, has approved a law enabling the execution of Palestinian detainees only, drawing sharp condemnation from Palestinian Resistance factions, regional states, and international actors.
Palestinian Resistance groups on Tuesday denounced the legislation, describing it as a reflection of “Zionist ideology rooted in extermination and ethnic cleansing” and an attempt to legitimize killing within Israeli prisons. The factions stressed that the law exposes the occupation’s “fear and weakness” rather than strength, asserting that Palestinian detainees remain enduring symbols of dignity and steadfastness.
They called for a broad legal, media, and popular mobilization at local and international levels to confront the policy, urging Palestinians across the occupied West Bank, al-Quds, and other occupied territories to escalate popular resistance “by all possible means” in rejection of escalating crimes against detainees.
“Let our slogan be that truth is not executed, and dignity is not hanged,” the factions said, warning that the occupation “will pay the price for its criminal laws and actions.”...
