Racist Social Media and the NIL Mandingo System Ruining Football

by Scott Creighton

UPDATE: Jayden Daniels did an interview with ESPN in which he took full responsibility for the mistake. Good for him. He's a stand-up kid who refused to throw his coach under the bus.

Mammon is the root of all evil. It always has been. It always will be. So sayeth the lord.

Professional and college football both suffer from a certain type of malize these days caused by people on the outside doing everything they can to generate money from the games and the process and the careers of the players, coaches and staff. It's the same illness that infects much of 'free market' America today. It's all about the money, who cares who gets hurt.

Racist Social Media and the NFL

Yesterday an NFL game played out just as far as it possibly could all the way to the end whistle in overtime. What happened at the end of that contest may very well cost a career football player and now coach his job in Washington and negatively effect his career and potential earnings in the future.

Why? Because a player made a mistake with 13 seconds left on the clock but no one in social media and on ESPN or Fox Sports can say that so instead, they IMMEDIATELY blamed the coach and established his guilt for the loss of the opportunity to win a game.

Why? Because the player at fault is a young, black quarterback and the mistake was a simple momentary lapse of reason... which happens to everyone from time to time.

But the greedy social media influencers and pundits on major network sports talk shows can't say that because for so many years racists claimed that black men did not have the mental capacity to play the position of quarterback... so as a result of the pendulum swinging back to the auto-correct position, Dan Quinn might just lose his job because Jayden Daniels forgot for a brief second what he has known since pee-wee football... get the team to the line, get a clean snap and spike the ball so the kicker can win the game.

Everyone watching the game knew what was going to happen when Jayden got the team withing field goal range with 13 seconds left in OT and no timeouts on second down.

The New York fans resolved themselves to the loss because it was a short make-able field-goal.

Washington fans cheered. It was a great victory over a team they were supposed to lose to.

Dan Quinn bused himself making ready the field-goal unit on the sideline only to look up and see Jaden Daniels get his team to the line, get a clean snap off... and then inexplicably drop back as if to throw a pass, get swamped by the defense and take a tackle for a loss with no time-outs left... as the win slipped away into a tie.

This was not what the head coach of the Commanders told Jayden to do. Jayden knew what to do. Everyone did. Jayden knew since pee-wee ball, since middle-school ball, since high school ball, since college and since his 3 years in the NFL. Everyone knew what he had to do. But he didn't do it. And Quinn looked just as shocked as everyone else but he didn't let on. He didn't throw his young star QB under the bus like Deon Sanders did last week after losing to Texas Tech. No. He took it in stride and was proud of how well they played, including Jayden, and took the tie which they weren't supposed to get anyway.

Social media had to launch a narrative defining campaign calling that good man to be IMMEDIATELY fired... because of something one of his players did.

And why is that? Because it plays into the old racist troop that a black QB isn't capable of playing the position and that's it. But it doesn't. Not really. Jayden is a man just like anyone else. He made a mistake like anyone else. He has to grow and learn from it.

Now there will be division in the locker room not because players blame Dan but because this young guy's young guy mistake (not a black guy mistake) might just cost them the coach they like.

Since writing this, Jayden has taken responsibility for the mistake himself. Good for him.

Social media influencers don't care because they are going to toe the line, to blame Dan, call for his job and say whatever black social media demands they say so they don't lose subscribers or views or ad revenue and they don't become the target of cancel culture campaigns.

In short, they do it for the money and don't give a shit how much damage it does to Dan, his family, the team... or even Jayden Daniels in the long run.

They do it for the money.

Rob Parker Calling Deon Sanders a Traitor to 'His People' in Defense of the NIL Mandingo System that is College Football

Rob Parker is a guy on social media who never fails to back the establishment bullshit no matter how obvious the race-baiting is. He used to be a thing on mainstream sports broadcasting but networks got sick of his act a while ago and now he's got some podcast thing he does always looking to race grift whenever possible.

Rob is saying that Deon Sanders is a traitor to 'his people' because Deon supports the creation of some kind of guardrails in the wild wild world of Mandingo college football.

Let me explain something that should be obvious at this point: NIL is the worst thing to happen to college football ever. It hurts the teams, coaching, schools, players and the fans alike.

People aren't watching college football like they used to. Ratings are down. Why? Because people liked college football because it wasn't pro-football... it was pure and ethical. They could believe in the teams because they believed in the schools.

Back in the day a pay to play scheme hurt a school's reputation and fan-base. Today it still does because believe it or not Rob Parker, not everyone in America worships at the alter of the Billion Boosters like you do.

Mandingo. That's a strong word with an evil historical context which I am sure many will use against me for choosing but unfortunately it is the only way to describe what we are seeing happen to America's beloved college football tradition.

Allow me to explain.

The Mandingo system back in the day involved rich plantation owners who got rich off the backs of slaves raising and fighting large African males against competition from other plantations. They would bet on these fights and buy and sell the fighters themselves from one plantation to the next. They were awful. The worst kind of horrific slave abuse you can possibly imagine. Django Unchained did a great job exposing the horror of it all. You should watch that. You should watch it because that is what the billionaire boosters are doing to college football right fucking now.

When NIL started it was different. Businesses paid players directly for the use of their name, image and likeness which helped the team keep good players but they didn't buy and sell them like slaves at auction.

Today we have 'the portal' which is basically a Mandingo auction block where players put themselves up for auction to the highest bidder which are no longer corporations but rather a consortium of boosters collected together around a school (plantation) where they talk with the administration and coaching staff to come up with a plan to buy certain players from other schools in order to make the best team they can.

Why? Why not? It's a game to them. They have so much money they are literally playing fantasy football for real and they bet, like the plantation owners of old used to, and they trade back and forth the players themselves and coaches most times and they do all this for the self aggrandizement of being richer and more powerful than the other plantation owners.

Yes, if they win more games then the networks will swing those games into the more prominent and therefore more profitable time-slots for broadcasting and that will boost revenue for the school and the consortium of boosters so they can play a little less next year but that isn't the point.

It's arrogance. They are richer than you so you just have to fuck off. And that's the point.

They get to walk around on the sidelines and get some face-time on prime-time TV and that feeds the ego a little more and that's it.

And it's ruining college football.

Listen, all this money being funneled to the players is a pittance compared to what the boosters are betting and the school is making on these games all while the valuable college experience is being ruined for the kids.

NFL stands for not for long because the average career in the pros is about 3 years. The money comes and goes quickly and the players themselves are left wondering what next.

With a college degree, many are able to move on and make something new out of their lives. Without one, they find themselves hauling concrete blocks on construction sites (The Fridge)

These modern day plantation owners who are currently ruining the game of college football are also ruining the futures of many players who will find themselves without a penny of their NIL money left when the NFL is done with em in a couple years but they don't give a shit. They got what their egos wanted out of it while the whole time having REAL SELL OUTS like Rob Parker patting their rich back telling em how much good they are doing these kids.

The Mandingo was treated relatively well by the owners back in the day. Got better lodging, better food, didn't have to work the fields and got to mate with the females the owners thought would breed better Mandingos.

A pretty sweet deal... for a while... as long as they didn't get crippled or killed in a fight or thrown on the scrap heap like they would eventually... all of em.

NFL... not for long.

Money for these kids is fleeting. It goes to to agents who work the deals to move the kids and get their cuts it goes to the families who understandably want to get paid as soon as possible and it goes to lawyers and all these other grifters and hangers on and the kids themselves get to live a better life if only for a while.

And the tax man.

Then it's over and they got nothing out of school even if they stayed 4 years bouncing around from one highest bidder to the next. Degree? It's a joke. It's worthless if they get one and everyone knows it.

It didn't used to be like that. Sure, some would declare for the draft early but MOST would stay and get themselves a degree and maybe play on Sunday or maybe not but they got something tangible out of the deal that would last them a lifetime...

College athletes should be paid. The schools make money. The NCAA makes money. The kids should make money. But not like this. It's a perversion... a plaything for the billionaire and multimillionaire class which is rotting away institution of college football itself and ruining the experience and the value of those years of college athletes' time in school.

They should go back to the original structure of NIL with local businesses paying fair market value to various athletes to help keep them at that school while they make a bit of money on the side.

Booster consortiums have no business buying and selling kids like so many put-options for their own amusement.

However, this is the world we live in where social media influencers will do any amount of harm to anyone around them so long as they can keep making the money and not be canceled and the Epstein class will keep infecting every American institution with their perverse greed and Mammon worship until it's all nothing but a world of shit with shiny objects stapled to the Oval Office walls and nice little green-zones for the ultra rich to gather and laugh at the wreckage they cause.

Kirk Herbstreet, Nick Saben and Deon Sanders are correct. This system needs to be regulated and altered before these greedy bored bastards ruin everything in the country for their own sadistic amusement and the sellouts of the sphere like Rob Parker need to STFU because they are the ones selling out their people, not Deon.
