'You are getting the silencing of civil society. It's like Orwell's 1984'
His name is Gadi Eisenkot and in all likelihood he will be Israel's next Prime Minister. He is deeply opposed to the 2 State Solution and fully supports continuing the Greater Israel expansion project.
He got a masters degree from US Army War College.
One of his sons, Master Sergeant Gal Meir Eisenkot, was killed during the Gaza genocide in Dec. of 2023. He also lost two nephews in the fighting since Oct 7 2023 and vowed to his deceased son to continue the fighting in Gaza.
Former Chief of Staff of the IDF he took part in Operation Good Neighbor in Syria where they aided the ISIS and al Nusra terrorists trying to overthrow Assad.
'In 2025, following the 7 October attacks, he stated that he thinks that "a Palestinian state is not relevant after October 7," and expressed opposition to "talk[ing] about a state and a prize after this murderous event."
For a Jabotinsky devote, the real prize after Israel allowed Oct 7th to happen and then made it worse via the Hannibal Directive, is Greater Israel... not Palestine.
But pointing that out is splitting hairs I guess.
The supremacists in Israel, the Jewish Zionists, feel like Eisenkot will be able to continue with the expansionist agenda while allowing the world to blame the whole genocide thing on Benjamin Netanyahu so they can once again turn a blind eye to what they continue to do in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria and Iran (Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia to follow)
'Eisenkot draws directly on Jabotinsky’s foundational 1923 essay "The Iron Wall" to frame Israel's contemporary military challenges. Jabotinsky’s core thesis argues that peace with neighboring populations is only achievable once they recognize that Israel cannot be destroyed by force. Together with co-author Gabi Siboni, Eisenkot has written that Israel's contemporary defense posture—particularly the conceptual strategy of keeping enemies off-balance through low-profile, proactive military operations—is structurally built upon this Revisionist Zionist ideology.' There is the Iron Wall again, there is Jabotinsky again, rearing their ugly legacy in mainstream Israeli culture like someone in modern day Germany campaigning on his adherence to Mein Kamph.
'Eisenkot is also known for pioneering the “Dahiyeh Doctrine,” a military strategy named after Hezbollah’s stronghold in the southern suburbs of Beirut that advocates using overwhelming force against an enemy by destroying civilian infrastructure.' Times of Israel
The election starts tonight.
