ReplyDeleteMy one point of contention - I always thought that Yugoslavia was the precedent for R2P. I'm not confident in that assumption, and I could be wrong, but I recall the kerfuffle at the UNGA while proverbial arms were being twisted to accept its adoption, without a GA vote.
