They are taking time to erect a massive screen around the land to be sold off to big developers while also informing home owners and business owners it will be a very long time before they allow anyone to start rebuilding in the cleared zone. Why? Why not allow clearing and rebuilding to begin as soon as lots are investigated? Well, frankly, because the whole point is to get people to sell to big developers for pennies on the dollar, that's why.

Hypocrisy alert; Yesterday, the celebrities were the parasites eager to expand their property holdings. Today, the Fleetwood Mac guy is just a working class guy who started a business and wants to retire on the beach. Also, the dust screen is totally transparent.
ReplyDeleteAnd citizen journalists have every right to fly drones over the area. They're almost zero possibility they'd be able to see human remains. If they cordon off the area, we'll never know whether everything burned completely, which we've already seen not everything did. There is no expectation of privacy in public right of ways.
