Hamas reaffirms commitment to Gaza deal, urges phase 2 implementation

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance movement Hamas reaffirmed its commitment to the understandings reached with mediators and the so-called "Peace Board" regarding the roadmap for completing the implementation of the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

In a statement released on Sunday, Hamas said it remained committed to responsibly implementing the agreed terms under the 15 provisions and establishing a clear timetable for their implementation.

“The priority at this stage must be to ensure the implementation of the agreement in all its phases and obligations,” Hamas said, stressing that this should lead to a complete ceasefire and an end to attacks against the Palestinian people.

The movement said the process should also include the completion of the withdrawal, the opening of crossings, the entry of humanitarian aid and shelter supplies, the launch of reconstruction efforts, and enabling the National Committee to begin carrying out its duties...
