The U.S. Supreme Court has issued a ruling along party lines lifting the stay placed on part of Donald Trump's glorious gold standard election rigging operation via restrictions placed on mail-in ballot voting.
While some immediately jumped into Henny Penny mode to rake in the click-baity views, I'm going to try to take a more nuanced approach to this discussion reminding you guys that, yeah, this is yet another attempt to rig 'democracy' in America as I remind you it's just the latest example of such behavior in a long history of the elites trying to make sure they 'Help America Vote'
The 'founding fathers' of this country didn't want the wrong people to vote either, meaning slaves, women, the Irish and working class poor white men who didn't own land nor slaves.
The point (and threat) has always been... keep the general rabble from being able to vote in their own interests... because theirs differs diametrically from ours. Seems pretty straight forward doesn't it?
'Let's pretend democracy while practicing oligarchy' seems to have been the order of the day for the 'founding fathers' that we hear so much about recently (looking at you Di$info Jone$) as some gold standard of the way things aught to be.
But we have moved far from that ideology you say? Do I need to remind you the Democrat Party of America through the Hunt Commission of 1981 installed a Super Delegate system for the primaries in 1982 after the election of Jimmy Carter in 1976 order to prevent a real left-leaning populist from winning the White House ever again? Would you like to see what Google AI says the reason for that was?
Election Losses: Party leaders worried this grassroots system led to unelectable or too-radical candidates, following big losses by George McGovern in 1972 and Jimmy Carter in 1980.
Adding Experience: The Democratic Party created unpledged spots for high-ranking officials and party elites to bring veteran judgment back into picking the nominee
How was Jimmy Carter considered unelectable? He won. He was president. And it took the Oct. Surprise and G.H.W. Bush cutting a deal with the Iranians to beat him in 1980. How does that equate to an unelectable candidate?
Notice the glimmer of truth peeking thru... 'too radical candidates'... 'veteran judgement picking the nominee' as opposed to the people of the Democrat Party.
And we got Reagan, then Bush, then another Bush and now TrumpyBear. Great move, right?
But thing we haven't had is an actual populist left-leaning presidential nominee. The New Dems get rid of those pretty damn quickly... just ask D.K. about that. Aliens?
How bout that glorious Gilded Age Trump and the libertarians at the Heritage Foundation seem so enamored with? What was our voting system like back then? I mean after all, that is what they talk about when they say Make America Great Again.
They used to rig elections in a number of ways back then (like we do now) so let's take a look at a few:
Public Voting: Early in the era, voting was not secret; political parties printed color-coded ballots, and voters dropped them into transparent glass globes.
Political Machines: Urban organizations like Tammany Hall controlled blocks of voters through the patronage (spoils) system, trading jobs and favors for votes.
Vote Buying and Coercion: Transparent voting made it easy for employers, landlords, and party operatives to buy votes or intimidate opposing voters
There are a couple from Google AI but to that you can also ad lynching, violence, poll intimidation, arrests, kidnapping and murder I guess.
It was 1920 before the 19th amendment was ratified by congress giving women the right to vote across the entire nation.
The Black Codes supposedly gave the black man the right to vote in late 1860s but you know how that translates to actual rights in America and so after another century we finally got around to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 (which has just been shredded for TrumpyBear and his gaggle of fascist libertarians)
So here we are, somewhat up to date, looking realistically at this latest example of voting rights suppression in America with the Supreme Court ruling:
'The Supreme Court lifted a judge’s block on President Trump’s executive order adding to mail voting requirements, removing a key roadblock that prevented the policy from going into effect for the midterms.
Over the public dissents of the three liberal justices, the high court said Monday that the judge had no authority to block Trump’s directive, at least ahead of the U.S. Postal Service implementing the new ballot standards.
“Federal courts review final rules, not proposed rules—and certainly not antecedent internal directives to propose a rule. If the Postal Service’s final rule harms the States, they may challenge that rule,” the court wrote.
It allows Trump to move closer to implementing his mail ballot restrictions for November’s contests. But now that the Postal Service announced its final regulation late last week, the states had already begun their new push to block it.' The Hill
In short, the court ruled that since no one has been illegally separated from their right to vote YET... they are going to allow it to go forward... and THEN maybe do something about it... after the Rethuglicans keep power after November.
Let me explain how TrumpyBear is working the crippled system to START THE STEAL this year, if I may.
They tried their best to make bring down prices and get themselves out of the war with Iran but their sticky fingers and their blackmail videos held by Epstein et al made that entirely unlikely to happen before November so they seem to be trying a different route.
And like always, it's nothing new.
In 2000 in Florida the Bush people had the state attorney general hire a company to fabricate a list of people who were not eligible to vote due to felonies on their records from other states. 56,000 mostly African Americans were denied, wrongly, their right to vote in that presidential election because some company found someone with a similar name in some state they had never been in did some criminal stuff and POOF... they couldn't vote.
Today TrumpyFascist and his gaggle of Nazis are making a list on a nationwide scale of people who CAN vote... so if you aren't on the list... too bad for you.
You see they have to do this because they are going to lose the House and Senate and TrumpyPedo is going to be impeached and removed from office and they know that. So, they are going to rig the Senate elections to keep control of that half of congress so TrumpyPantsStain can't be evicted from his golden palace before he sees the great ballroom completed.
You with me?
In 2000 as the recount was happening, the Supreme Court rushed to save the Bush/Cheney stolen presidency and what did we get as a result? 9/11 and an eight year walk on the Dark Side.
Noticing a pattern here?
Anyone remember the Democrat Party primaries in 2015-2016? Does anyone with half a brain think Hillary Clinton won? Of course she didn't but Bernie Sanders, the fake populist socialist, couldn't be allowed to win because that would send the wrong message to the people who write the checks that the Dems can't keep the rabble in line, so they OPENLY stole those primaries... so Killary could lose to the Orange Clown from Poopy Pants Nebula.
Picked to Loose the Alvin Green Story ring any bells?
How about the Ohio 2004 Man in the Middle scheme?
Am I dusting off any cobwebs for ya?
My point is this people... yes, Trump and the Project 2025ers along with the Zionist collaborators of America are working hard to START THE STEAL (remember Jan. 6th anyone? Oh the irony) in order to prevent democracy from 'voting the wrong way'
... and it's sad and depressing but it's nothing new.
As if you didn't expect me to write this... I told you before... you ain't voting your way out of this my friends.
If voting mattered, they wouldn't let us do it.
Change doesn't come from a ballot box or a black box either for that matter. Just ask the Obamaites and Trumpites about that.
Change comes from protests and the streets and general strikes. Change isn't easy. Change isn't a given. You gotta fight for it if you want it. History teaches us that. Looking around the map today does as well.
For the record... yes, mail-in ballot voting can and has been used to rig elections. It's quite simple really... wait til polls close, computer tells you who hasn't voted by then... you take their names, fill in some blank ballots and POOF... millions of new votes for your candidate (reference the sudden 3 million votes for Killary in California in 2016)... then of course you have to shred said ballots before an audit (Florida example several times)
Brilliant right? People who didn't bother to vote for either shit candidate will never know... they actually voted.
The way to fix that is to cut off mail in ballot counting when the polls open. If they aren't in by then, they don't count.
Also, another way they can be used to rig elections is what Trump is planning to do.. create bullshit list keeping 'the wrong people' from voting and those people WONT KNOW THEY AREN'T ON THE LIST so when they send in their ballots, they will never know they were thrown out.
Like back in the good old days of the Gilded Age, they have a NUMBER of ways to make your opinion about how to run this country meaningless. They really do. This is just one more in a long line of anti-democratic stuff our masters have done to us. So rather than tear your garments or clutch your pearls about how Trump is ending 'democracy' how bout we FINALLY ADMIT...
... we never had any in the first place.
The first step to solving any problem is admitting you have one.
