At least 20 people were killed and more than 100 injured while waiting for food aid in Gaza City on Thursday night, according to the Gazan Ministry of Health.
Videos of the aftermath posted to social media, which could not be immediately verified, shows bodies lying motionless on the ground. The cause of the deaths was not immediately clear. The ministry did not specify the weaponry used in the attack, and news reports differed in their descriptions.
