The Government of Venezuela ordered on Monday all its diplomatic
personnel from Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Peru, Panama, the Dominican
Republic and Uruguay to withdraw and demanded the immediate expulsion
of representatives from these countries from Venezuela, after they
refused to accept the victory of President Nicolás Maduro in the
elections on July 28.
Through an official statement, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry stated that this decision was taken in view of the «disastrous precedent which undermines our national sovereignty»while he stressed that the nation expresses its strongest rejection of the interventionist actions and statements of the group of right-wing governments, subordinated to Washington.
These governments, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry emphasized, are openly committed “with the sordidest ideological postulates of international fascism, trying to republish the failed and defeated Lima Group, they claim to ignore the electoral results of the presidential elections held this Sunday, July 28».
“The Bolivarian Government has stressed that it will confront all actions that undermine the climate of peace and coexistence that so many efforts have demanded from the Venezuelan people, we are therefore opposed to all interventionist and siege pronouncements with which, repeatedly, the will of the Venezuelan people is being ignored”, said the Foreign Ministry...
