In Denmark this is already almost in practice with a newly introduced property tax system. We are now getting taxed according to how the government assess the property value. In some cases home owners saw their property assessed to 5 times the purchasing price because 'the potential' of the location was factored in by the government. Absolutely ridiculous and insane.
