The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed this Wednesday
that the WhatsApp messaging platform is a spying system and invited to
migrate to other direct messaging platforms such as WeChat and Telegram
by receiving in the Palace of Miraflores to the march of the fishing and
agricultural sector.
“I have called the people, voluntarily, to leave WhatsApp and go to other networks, Telegram, WeChat,” he said, referring to “threats by WhatsApp to popular leaders in the camps, in the neighborhoods”.
The president stressed that after the Venezuelan people resisted the economic attack, the producers achieved an agricultural miracle.
“The people of blue Venezuela, we threw this country on top and said to the right: “Here no one gives up” and we went to produce and achieved the agricultural miracle that lives Venezuela today: full supply with national production,” he said.
