Modi, Xi Pledge to Strengthen China-India Relations

(Color Revolution in India in... 5... 4... 3...)

from al Maydeen English

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday, August 31, stressing New Delhi’s commitment to improving China-India relations.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit, where leaders from Asia gathered in a display of Global South solidarity.

Modi’s first visit to China in seven years came shortly after Washington imposed steep 50% tariffs on Indian goods over New Delhi’s continued purchases of Russian oil. Analysts say both leaders sought to present a united front against Western pressure.

According to India’s Foreign Ministry, Modi told Xi that the relationship should be based on “mutual respect, trust and sensitivities” and not viewed through the lens of a third country...

‘Unacceptable and intolerable’: International pressure mounting on Israel over Gaza

from PressTV

International pressure is mounting on Israel over its persisting genocidal war in the besieged Gaza Strip as the United Kingdom, the European Union, and China warn the occupying entity over “unacceptable” situation in the war-ravaged Palestinian territory.

On March 18, the Israeli regime broke a 42-day-long ceasefire with the Palestinian Hamas resistance movement and resumed its deadly strikes on Gaza, which has been under heavy bombardment and ground aggression by the occupation forces since October 2023.

To further exasperate the situation, and despite international outcry, Israel, for almost two months, blocked the flow of humanitarian aid into the territory, where its two million inhabitants, particularly children, struggle daily to combat starvation.

The dire situation in Gaza and the daily killing of its inhabitants by Israeli forces led British and European Union leaders on Monday to urge the occupying entity to allow humanitarian aid to flow back into Gaza immediately, slamming the current situation in the war-torn territory as “unacceptable” and “intolerable.”...

US to cut 'de minimis' tariff on China shipments to 54% from 120%

from al Mayadeen English

The United States is set to reduce the de minimis tariff on China shipments from 120% to 54%, while retaining a $100 flat fee, according to a White House executive order issued Monday.

The updated policy will take effect at 12:01 a.m. (0401 GMT) on May 14, 2025.

This revision alters an earlier order by the Trump administration, which had planned to impose a flat $200 duty or a 120% tariff starting in June. The change affects shipments valued up to $800 sent via postal services, which previously benefited from minimal inspections and duty-free status...

Scott Bessent 'We Are Going to be the Largest De-Regulated Economy in the World'

by Scott Creighton

UPDATE: 3:22 mark of this video talks about Chinese exporters deciding to withhold products from U.S. markets and just before that it talks about China making arrangements to sell to other nations. Seems like China has decided to deny the Glorious Trump the 145% tax he intends to collect from the American people on Chinese goods.

Trump pushing India into high-stakes, high-risk China clash

(In Nov of 2024, Lashkar-e-Taiba (The Resistance Front) used grenades to attack target in India: 12 people were injured. On April 22 2025, the same group killed killed 28 people in yet another destabilization attack called 2025 Pahalgam attack.

On Monday, the 21st day of April 2025, JD Vance arrived in India to hold high level talks with Modi in an effort to lock in that country's allegiance to Donald Trump and his trade war with China and the other BRICS and Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) nations.

Pakistan is being blamed in Indian media for the attack in Pahlgam. Pakistan is seeking BRICS membership AND is a member of the SCO.

Lashkar-e-Taiba has been linked to al Qaeda, al Nusra and ISIS in the past in that it is believed to be, like the rest are, controlled by U.S. Special Operations forces as a proxy army.

It is not a coincidence that this attack took place the day after Vance arrived in India. The implication we are meant to read into it is that Pakistan doesn't want India to take sides with the U.S. in this global trade conflict.

That is ridiculous because the only result that could possibly come from this attack would be to drive India further from Pakistan and China and the SCO and BRICS rather than bring them together.

Which is why it is painfully clear who is really behind this brutal attack.)

from Asia Times

US President Donald Trump’s tariff war has sent shockwaves across the global economy, but no leader has felt its sting more keenly than India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Caught in a high-stakes geopolitical bind, India is grappling with an existential dilemma: balancing its vital economic ties with China against the allure of the American market.

On April 2, 2025, the Trump administration slapped a 26% “reciprocal” tariff on Indian goods, forcing New Delhi into fraught negotiations to preserve access to the American market, its largest export destination.

Despite the Indian media’s portrayal of Modi as a “Vishwaguru” (world leader) and indomitable strongman, India’s response has betrayed a surprising deference, seen in fast and big import duty cuts on Harley-Davidson motorbikes and American-made bourbon whiskey amid a broad pledge to tear down trade barriers. New Delhi has also announced plans to buy more US energy and defense products in a bid to placate Trump.

Chad say military foiled armed assault on presidential complex, 19 killed

from al Jazeera

At least 19 people have been killed in Chad where security forces said they had prevented an attempt by armed fighters to storm the presidential complex in the capital N’Djamena.

At least 18 of a force of 24 armed men were killed in the failed assault on the president’s office on Wednesday evening, the government said, and one member of the security forces also died in the gun battles.

“There were 18 dead and six injured” among the attackers “and we suffered one death and three injured, one of them seriously”, Chad’s foreign minister and government spokesman Abderaman Koulamallah said...

‘Heavy gunfire’ in African capital after Chinese FM visit

(Seems like our USSOCOM proxies are busy in Chad trying to keep their government from getting closer to China)

from RT

Tanks have been deployed on Wednesday night to the streets of Chad's capital N’Djamena and heavy gunfire can be heard in the heart of the city, as the presidential palace has reportedly came under attack by unidentified militants, sources have told RT.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited N’Djamena earlier on Wednesday to discuss “advancing bilateral cooperation” with Chadian President Mahamat Deby.

The French news agency AFP first reported “heavy gunfire” on Wednesday evening. AFP cited a Chadian security source, who said that “armed men had attacked the presidential palace.”...

Another Staged Event from CNN: Batman Goes to China (archive)

(archived from December 16, 2011)

by Scott Creighton

It’s one thing when the corporate media refuse to cover a story because it makes the globalist’s actions look bad or it highlights something that they would rather not have exposed. That’s bad enough. But when the media actually makes stories up out of whole cloth and they are never held accountable for it, then you have serious problems with far reaching implications. Unfortunately we have been seeing this trend developing more and more as of late.

CNN has a story out about how Batman actor Christian Bale and a CNN “news” crew went to visit a Chinese activist and was assaulted by “plain clothed” Chinese military police and then they were involved in a “high speed chase” which the news crew won, somehow, and they escaped. A CNN cameraman outran Chinese authority’s radio in a minivan? Really?

That’s the “news” according to CNN.

Here’s what really happened.

US hikes tariffs on Chinese goods

(Less than a week after VP Harris ridiculed Donald Trump over his '100% trade tariffs on China' plan during their debate... the Biden administration, late on Friday to kill the story, announced a new 100% trade tariff on some Chinese goods coming into the country. You can't make this shit up.)

from RT

Washington has finalized tariff hikes on billions of dollars’ worth of Chinese imports, US trade representative Katherine Tai announced on Friday. The new levies will notably affect goods such as electric vehicles and semiconductors.

The tariff hikes were first announced by the White House in May of this year, but the administration of President Joe Biden said that it has since been working on finalizing the rates and setting the dates for the measures to take effect based on feedback from the American public.

According to the final document, which is dated September 12, the duties will rise to 100% on electric vehicles, 50% on solar cells, and 25% on electric vehicle batteries, steel, aluminum, face masks and some other products beginning September 27. A 50% tariff hike on semiconductors is set to take effect starting next year. The levies on a number of other products, such as non-electrical vehicle batteries, medical gloves, and permanent magnets, will be raised gradually over the next two years...

China is ‘Putin’s tool’ – Zelensky

from RT

China is acting as an “instrumentof Russia by pressing other nations to shun an upcoming “peace summit” on the Ukraine conflict, Vladimir Zelensky has alleged. The Ukrainian leader also accused Beijing of providing military support to Moscow, without giving specific evidence.

Zelensky fired a rare diplomatic broadside at Beijing on Sunday following his surprise appearance at the Shangri-La Dialogue, an annual security conference organized by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in Singapore.

“Russia, using Chinese influence on the region, using Chinese diplomats also, does everything to disrupt the peace summit,” Zelensky claimed at a press conference, referring to Swiss-hosted talks on the Ukraine conflict that are planned for later in June.

“It is unfortunate that such a big, independent, powerful country as China is an instrument in the hands of [Russian President Vladimir] Putin,” the Ukrainian leader added...

China's economy expands at faster-than-expected 5.3% in Q1

from Daily Sabah

China's economy expanded at a quicker pace than anticipated in the first three months of the year, thanks to policies aimed at spurring growth and stronger demand, official data showed on Tuesday.

The world's second-largest economy expanded at a 5.3% annual pace in January-March, according to the National Bureau of Statistics, beating analysts' forecasts of about 4.8%. Compared to the previous quarter, the economy grew by 1.6%.

China's economy has struggled to bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic, with a slowdown in demand and a property crisis weighing on its growth.

The better-than-expected data Tuesday came days after China reported its exports sank 7.5% in March compared to the year before, while imports also weakened. Inflation cooled, reflecting deflationary pressures resulting from slack demand amid a crisis in the property sector.

Industrial output for the first quarter was up 6.1% compared to the same time last year, and retail sales grew at an annual pace of 4.7%. Fixed investment in factories and equipment grew 4.5% compared to the same period a year earlier...

Xi Meets With Russia’s Foreign Minister, Reaffirming Ties

from the NYT

The visit came days after the U.S. threatened new sanctions against Chinese companies if they aided Russia’s war in Ukraine.

China’s top leader, Xi Jinping, and Russia’s foreign minister, Sergey V. Lavrov, met in Beijing on Tuesday, in a session seen as laying the groundwork for an expected visit to China by President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia and pushing back against mounting pressure from the United States and its allies.

Mr. Lavrov’s visit came just days after Treasury Secretary Janet L. Yellen warned of “significant consequences” if Chinese companies provided material support for Russia’s war in Ukraine. It also took place as President Biden was set to host the leaders of Japan and the Philippines on Wednesday to boost economic and security ties to counter China’s growing assertiveness in Asia.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Lavrov met with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, and said the two sides had talked about deepening security ties to resist the West's “anti-Chinese” and “anti-Russian orientation.” In a sign of the Kremlin’s continued deference to China, Mr. Lavrov reaffirmed Russia’s rejection of any “outside interference” over Beijing’s claims to the de facto independent island of Taiwan...

Why the US decided to give peace in Gaza a chance

(Hmmm. Noted on March 12, Chinese exports surge across the world. US abstains from UNSC resolution vote for binding resolution forcing cease fire in Gaza on March 22. China Development Forum wraps up March 24 with many US businesses in attendance. Top US business leaders met with Xi Jinping March 28.  Gee I wonder who convinced US leaders to start putting more pressure on Israel to wrap this up)

from RT

In a historic move on Monday, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) achieved a breakthrough by passing a binding resolution aimed at securing a “lasting, sustainable ceasefire” in Gaza and advocating the release of all hostages held by Hamas since the October attacks on Israel last year.

This momentous step forward in international diplomacy signals a potential turning point in the protracted Israeli-Palestinian conflict, offering a glimmer of hope for peace in a region long plagued by violence and discord.

The decision by the UNSC comes after several failed attempts to broker a ceasefire. It underscores the growing global consensus on the urgent need to address the root causes of the conflict and pave the way for a peaceful settlement. The resolution, which was passed with overwhelming support from the international community, reflects a shared commitment to upholding international law and promoting stability in the region.

The US, traditionally a staunch ally of Israel, notably abstained from vetoing the resolution this time, signaling a shift in its approach and a willingness to engage constructively in multilateral efforts to end the violence – though it has said that it does not represent a change in policy. This decision reflects a recognition of the need for a balanced approach that takes into account the legitimate concerns and aspirations of both Israelis and Palestinians...

China urges Israel to comply with UNSC Gaza cease-fire resolution

from Daily Sabah

China called on Israel to fulfill its obligations under the U.N. Charter and comply with the U.N. Security Council resolution calling for a cease-fire in Gaza, saying that the council's resolutions are "binding on Israel."

China "calls on the parties concerned to fulfill their obligations under the U.N. Charter and to take due action as required by the resolution,” Lin said in response to a question by Anadolu Agency (AA) about comments by the U.S. top envoy to the U.N. who claimed a resolution passed Monday was "non-binding” on parties to the conflict in Gaza, which has been under an onslaught by Israel since Oct. 7.

More than 32,333 Palestinians have since been killed and over 74,694 injured amid mass destruction and shortages of necessities.

The U.N. Charter stipulates that all Security Council resolutions are legally binding under international law...

China's Xi meets American business leaders amid sluggish investment

from Daily Sabah

Chinese President Xi Jinping convened with American business leaders at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Wednesday, as part of the government's efforts to attract foreign investors and assuage concerns among international companies regarding the effects of new regulatory changes.

Beijing wants to boost the growth of the world's second-largest economy after foreign direct investment shrank 8% in 2023 amid heightened investor concern over an anti-espionage law, exit bans and raids on consultancies and due diligence firms...

Stephen Schwarzman, co-founder and CEO of private equity firm Blackstone, Raj Subramaniam, head of American delivery giant FedEx, and Cristiano Amon, the boss of chips manufacturer Qualcomm were part of the around 20-strong all-male U.S. contingent.

The audience with Xi – organized by the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, the U.S.-China Business Council, and the Asia Society think tank – lasted around 90 minutes, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter...

Globalists are Framing China for Pending Western Economic Crash

They always need a fall guy. The WEF and the Global Warming cult are set to bring about another economic collapse in order to create the crisis they need to justify the Great Reset but they can't do it without blaming someone with a different economic system so they seem to have chosen China to take the fall.
