How Karim Khan’s Israel war crimes probe was derailed by threats, leaks and sex claims

from Middle East Eye

major Middle East Eye investigation has uncovered extraordinary details of an intensifying intimidation campaign targeting the British chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court over his investigation into alleged Israeli war crimes.

The campaign has involved threats and warnings directed at Karim Khan by prominent figures, close colleagues and family friends briefing against him, fears for the prosecutor’s safety prompted by a Mossad team in The Hague, and media leaks about sexual assault allegations.

It has taken place against the backdrop of Khan’s efforts to build and pursue a case against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israeli officials over their conduct of the war against Hamas in Gaza and accelerating Israeli settlement expansion and violence against Palestinians in the illegally occupied West Bank.

Last month, Middle East Eye revealed that Khan was warned in May that if the arrest warrants issued last year for Netanyahu and his former defence minister Yoav Gallant were not withdrawn, he and the ICC would be destroyed.

The warning was delivered by Nicholas Kaufman, a British-Israeli defence lawyer at the court, during a meeting with Khan and his wife, Shyamala Alagendra, at a hotel in The Hague.

Lindsey Graham Commits an Act of Terrorism to Protect Genocidal Netanyahu

by Scott Creighton

We are a thug-state run by corporate mobsters. We pretend to care about human rights and the rule of law but in reality all we care about is the stock market's bottom line and keeping our puppet dictators in power and out of prison.

Lindsey Graham was talking to Sean Hannity the other day and he suggested if any of our allies in the world were to honor international rule of law by upholding the ICC arrest warrants against Netanyahu or Gallant, we should make their economies scream because, in the end, they could end up coming for us next.

During an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Friday, Graham warned:

You’re gonna have to pick the rogue ICC vs. America. I’m working with [Sen.] Tom Cotton to have legislation passed as soon as we can to sanction any country that aids and abets the arrest of any politician in Israel. What they’re doing in Israel is trying to prevent a second Holocaust. So, to any ally — Canada, Britain, Germany, France — if you try to help the ICC, we’re gonna sanction you.

When Hannity asked what the penalty should be, Graham replied, “We should crush your economy, because we’re next. Why can’t they go after Trump or any other American president under this theory?”

One might respond that the International Criminal Court can’t go after Donald Trump or any other American president  — unless they commit a crime against humanity.

The aforementioned Cotton offered an ominous threat of his own, referencing a 2002 law signed by President George W. Bush.

“The ICC is a kangaroo court and Karim Khan is a deranged fanatic,” he wrote on X. “Woe to him and anyone who tries to enforce these outlaw warrants. Let me give them all a friendly reminder: the American law on the ICC is known as The Hague Invasion Act for a reason. Think about it.” MSNBC

ICC issues arrest warrants for Netanyahu, Gallant for war crimes

from PressTV

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants for Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former minister of military affairs Yoav Gallant over war crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The court’s Pre-Trial Chamber I issued warrants of arrest for Netanyahu and Gallant "for crimes against humanity and war crimes committed from at least 8 October 2023 until at least 20 May 2024, the day the Prosecution filed the applications for warrants of arrest”, it confirmed in a statement Thursday.

It is the first instance in the court's 22-year history it has issued arrest warrants for Western-allied senior officials.

In its statement, the ICC's Pre-Trial Chamber I, a panel of three judges, said it has rejected appeals by Israel challenging its jurisdiction.

The chamber said it has decided to release the arrest warrants because "conduct similar to that addressed in the warrant of arrest appears to be ongoing", referring to Israel's ongoing onslaught on Gaza...

Next Senate majority leader warns ICC over 'Israel' arrest warrants

(Our corrupt soulless foreign policy is like it was crafted by mob bosses threatening prosecutors)

from al Mayadeen English

The United States must enact legislation imposing sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) if it proceeds with issuing arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or other Israeli officials, stressed Senator John Thune on Sunday.

“If the ICC and its prosecutor do not reverse their outrageous and unlawful actions to pursue arrest warrants against Israeli officials, the Senate should immediately pass sanctions legislation, as the House has already done on a bipartisan basis,” he posted on X.

Thune, who is set to become Senate Majority Leader in January when Republicans assume control of Congress, was referencing a bill passed by the House earlier this year, which proposed sanctions on ICC officials...

Israel committing genocide in Gaza: Erdoğan to ICC chief

from Daily Sabah

Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan told the International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor Karim Khan in New York on Monday, the Presidential Communications Directorate said.

The closed-door meeting at the Turkish House came on the sidelines of the 79th session of the U.N. General Assembly.

Erdoğan told Khan that the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not hesitate to violate international law in Gaza, where at least 41,000 Palestinians were killed.

He noted that Israel was recklessly making plans to carry out new massacres, wrongfully thinking that there was no power to stop them.

The president continued by saying that Israel needs to be held accountable for the crimes it is committing and that the ICC case on Israeli genocide must be concluded and the perpetrators of genocide must receive necessary punishment for their crimes, in order to preserve the sense of trust in international law.

"Türkiye will continue to strive to the best of its abilities to determine Israel's genocidal crimes with concrete evidence," Erdoğan told Khan...

Türkiye seeks punishment for Israel over genocide of women, children

from Daily Sabah

Türkiye is considering a separate appeal to an international court it applied to hold Israel accountable for what it did in Gaza and presented new evidence over Israel’s “genocide” targeting women and children in particular.

With the number of people slaughtered in Israel’s attacks exceeding 38,000 since October 2023, Türkiye aims to take new steps to stop the crisis in Gaza and the Netanyahu administration behind it. The country presented five folders of evidence to the International Criminal Court (ICC) where countries appealed to issue an arrest warrant for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Two folders exclusively contain evidence of genocide against women and children.

Istanbul’s Second Bar Association has recently joined institutions applying to the ICC over Israel’s war crimes. A delegation from the association recently held talks with ICC prosecutors in The Hague. Emrah Karayel, a lawmaker from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) who joined the delegation as a lawyer himself, says they told the prosecutors that the scope of the case should be expanded. “More people in Israel’s war cabinet should be added to the case apart from Netanyahu and Gallant,” he says. “They told us more (defendants) can be added based on evidence and information.”...

US Senate preparing sanctions on ICC employees – Fox

from RT

US senators have called for punitive action against the International Criminal Court (ICC) after its chief prosecutor sought arrest warrants for Israeli and Hamas leaders over the ongoing Gaza conflict, Fox News reported on Thursday.

Earlier this week, ICC prosecutor Karim Khan accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant of committing “war crimes and crimes against humanity” in the Palestinian enclave. He requested that the ICC issue warrants for their arrest, as well as the arrest of three Hamas leaders believed to be responsible for the October 7 attack, which sparked the latest escalation.

In response to the move, Republican and Democratic Senators Mike Rounds and Joe Manchin called for a resolution that, according to Fox News Digital, would urge President Joe Biden and Congress to “impose financial sanctions and visa bans on officials of the ICC for an abuse of power that threatens US interests and weakens US allies.”...

ICC has no evidence for 7 October rapes, documents indicate

(This is the same thing they did to Gadhafi, filed charges against him based on what our regime change assets told them, not on facts.)

from Electronic Intifada

There are many vexing aspects to Monday’s announcement by International Criminal Court chief prosecutor Karim Khan that he is seeking arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, defense minister Yoav Gallant and three leaders of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas.

That he should charge the leaders of a legitimate resistance against military occupation and equate them with the leaders of a criminal regime that is perpetrating genocide is questionable enough – one theme explored in an excellent commentary on the indictments by Justin Podur on his YouTube channel The Anti-Empire Project.

It is particularly bizarre that Khan would charge Ismail Haniyeh, the Hamas politburo chief and a civilian political leader who almost certainly had no role whatsoever in planning the 7 October resistance operation.

That can only be aimed at delegitimizing Hamas in line with Western political imperatives. It may well hamper Haniyeh’s constructive role as an interlocutor and mediator in efforts to negotiate a ceasefire, something Hamas has been trying to do in the face of consistent US-backed Israeli rejectionism.

But that Khan has charged Haniyeh, along with Hamas’ Gaza leader Yayha Sinwar and its military commander Muhammad Deif with sexual violence and rape is absurd.

Although it is only an accusation, the fact that the ICC prosecutor seeks formal charges adds weight and credibility to the claims, and will thus feed the notion that there is some factual basis to Israel’s entirely debunked atrocity propaganda about Hamas using rape and sexual violence as a weapon of war...

AP condemns Israel's obstruction of live Gaza feed

(When you are trying to argue you aren't committing genocide, it's kinda hard when the press shows up and live-streams you committing genocide)

from Daily Sabah

The Associated Press decried Israel's shutdown of its live feed showing Gaza for exploiting the country's newly passed foreign broadcaster law.

"The Associated Press decries in the strongest terms the actions of the Israeli government to shut down our longstanding live feed showing a view into Gaza and seize AP equipment," Lauren Easton, vice president of corporate communications at AP, said in a statement.

"The shutdown was not based on the content of the feed but rather an abusive use by the Israeli government of the country's new foreign broadcaster law," Easton added.

Officials from the Israeli Communications Ministry arrived at the AP office in Sderot in southern Israel and seized a camera and broadcasting equipment. They handed the agency a piece of paper signed by Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi accusing the news agency of violating Israel's foreign broadcaster law.

Israeli authorities accused the global news agency of providing images to the Qatar-funded Al Jazeera television, one of thousands of clients that receive live video feeds from the AP and other news organizations...

Itamar Ben-Gvir promotes future Israeli settlements in Gaza

from Aletho News

An Israeli minister has once again called for the expulsion of the Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and an expansion of settlements in the besieged Palestinian territory.

Itamar Ben-Gvir in comments carried by Israel’s Maariv news site on Tuesday advocated a full military takeover of Gaza.

The far-right minister said Israel should push the Palestinians to “voluntarily” leave to make way for settlements.

“Israel should be the one that controls the Gaza Strip, unequivocally, and no one else,” Ben-Gvir said.

Most important, he said, is “encouraging voluntary emigration of Palestinians” from the territory. “I would love to live in Gaza if possible.”

Last week, the minister said the settlements called for by far-right attendees were the “true solution.”

“We must encourage emigration. Encourage the voluntary emigration of the residents of Gaza. It is moral!”...

Zionists Made Video Bragging About How they OWN American Politicians from ALL PARTIES

by Scott Creighton

Imagine if a Russian, Chinese or Iranian interest group made a video like this bragging about how much influence they have bought in D.C. The screeching would be endless. Israel does it? (crickets)

Globalist Puppet Luis Moreno-Ocampo Issues ICC Arrest Warrant for Gadhafi based on “Activists Say” Evidence (archive)

(archived from June 27, 2011)

by Scott Creighton

In March of this year, a globalist puppet was tasked with finding some reason to force Moammar Gadhafi out of power in Libya so their pro-western, monarchist “rebels” could take power. Luis Moreno-Ocampo took his charge seriously and declare before any investigation that he was “100% certain” that he would find “crimes against humanity” charges for the Libyan leader. Ocampo found his “evidence” by listening to whatever so-called “activists” made up with no supporting physical evidence of any kind.

Today those charges were turned into official arrest warrants.

“The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant for Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddafi on charges of committing crimes against humanity.

… The warrants are a response to ICC chief prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo’s call on the court to issue arrest warrants for the three influential Libyan figures.” Press TV

Remember, in May of 2002, in order to keep U.S. officials from being tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity by the I.C.C., the Bush administration officially withdrew America’s intent of ratification of the I.C.C. Treaty.

Amazing Statement from Netanyahu Deflecting Blame and White-Washing Genocide in Gaza

 by Scott Creighton

A quick video of Bibi Netanyahu playing the holocaust card and, once again, suggesting Israel can't be committing genocide in Gaza (in spite of the fact that so many zionists in Israel have been caught on camera bragging that they are doing just that) because... well... because they're Jewish.

Full stop.

However, the dude looks like a 70s Bond villain all hunched over at his desk with really evil looking lighting. It would be funny if the subject matter wasn't so goddamned twisted and vile.

Netanyahu understands time is running out for him and he's doing everything he can to keep the war going so he and a bunch of others aren't kicked out of office and criminally prosecuted. And for some reason the collaborators (and yes I know the connotation of that term and use it correctly in this case) here in the U.S. continue to try to defend him and Israel's ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

Maybe it's because they want the AIPAC money for their campaign finance slush funds, which must be flowing like a tidal wave after all of this.

Maybe it's because they are just straight up racists because as we know... racism BAD... except for when you are racist toward straight white males... and anyone who even remotely looks Arab.

Here's the video. I will be discussing it in this morning's video.

US Congress threatens ICC with retaliation over arrest warrants for Israeli officials

(US congress critters on the AIPAC payroll (read as 'corrupt cowardly rat-fucks) are doing their best to bully ICC members into backing off criminal charges being leveled at monsters in Israel. But of course they are. Because we are the Shining City on the Hill.)

from PressTV

American lawmakers are in the process of drafting a bill aimed at responding to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in case it decides to issue arrest warrants against high-ranking Israeli officials accused of committing war crimes in Gaza.

The legislation is being drafted in a retaliatory move against the ICC to prevent it from issuing arrest warrants against Israeli officials. It could also include sanctions against certain officials of the ICC, according to American news outlet Axios.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters on Monday that the US did not support the ICC investigation, questioning the competency of the tribunal. "We don't believe that they have the jurisdiction," Jean-Pierre said.

Michael McCaul, Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, also anticipated the unveiling of a House bill that mirrors Senator Tom Cotton's proposal to impose sanctions on ICC officials who are part of inquiries targeting the US and its partners, he told Axios...

Israel Reportedly Concerned Biden May Throw Netanyahu ‘Under the Bus’ at ICC

from Sputnik News

Most of America’s overseas allies are signatories to the International Criminal Court’s Rome Statute. The US itself quit the Court in 2002 before launching its war of aggression in Iraq. Israel is not a party to the ICC, but is concerned about the “dangerous precedent” that could be set by threats to drag its leaders before the Court.

Israeli officials are concerned the Biden administration may abandon the Netanyahu government if the ICC issued arrest warrants against the Israeli prime minister and senior members of his cabinet.

“Where is Biden? Why is he quiet while Israel will potentially be thrown under the bus?” an Israeli diplomatic source told the Jerusalem Post on Sunday.

ICC shrugs off US threats over Afghan war crimes probe

from Press TV

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has firmly dismissed a threat of sanctions against it by US National Security Adviser John Bolton in case it probes possible US war crimes in Afghanistan, declaring that it will continue its work “undeterred.”
“The ICC, as a court of law, will continue to do its work undeterred, in accordance with those principles and the overarching idea of the rule of law,” the ICC announced in a Tuesday statement, a day after Bolton used bullying rhetoric against the UN-backed tribunal in The Hague.
Bolton brazenly threatened on Monday that if the ICC proceeded with a possible probe into possible war crimes committed by the US military and intelligence operatives during its war in Afghanistan or pursued any investigation into war crimes by the Israeli regime or other American allies, Washington would impose sanctions against the court and seek to prosecute its officials where possible...

... Washington has refused to ratify the Rome Treaty that established the ICC. The US has adopted the so-called American Services-Members’ Protection Act — nicknamed The Hague Invasion Act — which authorizes the use of any means necessary to free any American personnel held by the court...
