Pentagon says Riyadh is too important to whip, rolls out $15bn THAAD arms deal instead

The US rarely has 'unblemished' partners so it will pour more defensive weapons into Saudi Arabia despite outrage over Khashoggi and Yemen, Pentagon chief James Mattis admitted as the nation handed the kingdom a big new deal.

The most-recent major US-Saudi arms deal was rolled out on Wednesday. Riyadh is seeking to get THAAD air defense missile systems, and the terms of the purchase were quietly formalized this week, the State Department announced. Under the $15 billion contract, Riyadh will receive 44 THAAD launchers, missiles and related equipment.

The news of a yet another lucrative contract came the very same day Secretary of Defense James Mattis and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo rushed to defend the kingdom against the mounting anger in the Senate over the murder of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi and the bloody war in Yemen. Speaking at a closed-door briefing, they explained that Saudi Arabia is simply too important to scrap existing bonds.

The Pentagon's chief called Riyadh "fundamental" to regional and Israeli security, as well as crucial for the US' own interests.

"We are seldom free to work with unblemished partners," Mattis bluntly admitted. He went on to argue that the ties with the kingdom "cannot be dismissed" even as Washington condemned Khashoggi's death...

The senators from Lockheed Martin didn't think that was good enough and they sent yet another letter to the president (through the Washington Post of course) demanding we put MORE SANCTIONS on YET ANOTHER NATION on behalf of our glorious NATIONAL INTERESTS.

The way this works out is this: the senators with Lockheed Martin cash floating their retirement plans want the Duke of Orange to deny Saudi Arabia the sale of the rest of the 100 billion dollars worth of merchant of death equipment if they don't make good on the 15 billion dollar purchase promise they made to Lockheed Martin.

That's like the guy at the dealership saying you GOT to take the EXTRA CAMERAS package that you don't want on your new hybrid POS car and if you don't you can just HIT THE BRICKS.

That's some real thug life shit right there from these congress critters. Talk about your organized crime.

Overnight Saudi officials have released the first part of their investigation into what happened to Jamal Khashoggi on Oct. 2nd of this year.

They now claim he got into an altercation with several men who were at the consulate in Istanbul to "discuss" with him his return to Saudi Arabia which then resulted in an argument with the men and Jamal being put into a choke hold of sorts which resulted in his death.

From that point, the story goes, a cover-up ensued.

A number of "alternative" websites (Common Dreams and Moon of Alabama to mention just two) have latched onto the "cleaning crew cover-up" story which is obviously intended to "fix" the pending narrative that the Turkish forensic investigation yesterday found nothing in the Saudi consulate when they were looking for evidence that Jamal Khashoggi was abducted, tortured, killed and dismembered in that location on Oct. 2nd of this year.

Angered By Saudi Plan to Purchase Russian S-400, Trump Admin Exploiting Khashoggi Disappearance to Force Saudis to “Buy American”

The disappearance and alleged murder of Saudi journalist and Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi continues to strain relations between the United States and Saudi Arabia. On Saturday, President Donald Trump warned the Saudis of “severe punishment” if the Saudi government was found to have been responsible for the journalist’s alleged murder. 
 
The Saudi government has vocally denied any involvement even though Khashoggi disappeared within the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul and responded to Trump’s threats by vowing an even “stronger” response if the Gulf monarchy is ultimately targeted by the United States. The exchange of threats caused Saudi stocks to sustain their biggest one-day loss since 2016 when trading opened and has brought the upcoming three-day Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Saudi Arabia much unwanted negative publicity.

However, there is considerable evidence pointing to the fact that the U.S.’ response to the Khashoggi affair is likely to be determined, not by any Saudi government responsibility for Khashoggi’s fate, but instead whether or not the Saudis choose to follow through with their promise to purchase the $15 billion U.S.-made THAAD missile system or it cheaper, Russia-made equivalent, the S-400. According to reports, the Saudis failed to meet the deadline for their planned THAAD purchase and had hinted in late September that they were planning to buy the S-400 from Russia instead...

On Sept. 21 S.A. Amb to Russia Hoped U.S. Would Not Sanction Riyadh over purchase of S-400 Systems

Eleven days before Jamal Khashoggi went "missing" the Saudi ambassador to Russia said in an interview that he hoped the U.S. would not sanction Riyadh over their decision to purchase Russia's S-400 defense system as opposed to Lockheed Martin's THAAD.

Now we have 22 senators calling on Trump to use the Global Magnisky Act to impose sanctions on S.A. over the "missing" Khashoggi... who just happens to be the nephew of Adnan Khashoggi, former Saudi weapons dealer who made his fortune working with MIC companies like... Lockheed Martin.

Well lookie here. Just a few weeks before the blurry-image crisis unfolded in Istanbul, the Saudi ambassador to Russia, Rayed Krimly, said he really hopes the U.S. doesn't sanction Saudi Arabia over their signed agreement to purchase the Russian S-400 missile defense system rather than the THAAD system Lockheed Martin makes.

Gee... its almost like this amazing missing "journalist" thingy was custom made to put pressure on S.A. huh?

"Moscow: Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Russia Rayed Krimly on Friday expressed hope that Washington would not impose sanctions on Riyadh over purchase of the Russian S-400 air defense missile systems.

“I hope that no one will impose any sanctions on us,” Krimly told reporters answering the question whether Saudi Arabia would continue to discuss the issue of deliveries of the S-400 after the United States imposed sanctions against China for a deal with Russia.

He noted that the Saudi Arabia-Russia agreement on the arms purchase was in the works despite the possible US sanctions.

“Our cooperation with Russia continues and grows. And during King Salman’s historic visit [to Russia] we have signed 14 agreements that began to be implemented. There were four agreements in the military field; three of them began to be implemented. As for the fourth … there is discussion of the technical issues. Well well well, would you look at that.  No wonder you have the likes of Washington Post, New York Times, Joe Scarborough, Sen Lindsay Graham and Jake Tapper suddenly turning into progressives and championing a missing journalist (after about 30 went missing in the past year thanks to S.A. and they said not a peep)

Jamal Khashoggi's Last Interview: Why is Chris Hedges Calling for Sanctions Over this Regime Change Backing "Journalist"?

I just heard Chris Hedges start off a talk he gave on Oct. 8th 2018 praising Jamal Khashoggi as some kind of revolutionary hero, standing up to the brutal Saudi government and he even calls for SANCTIONS against Saudi Arabia regarding this mess.

Kinda like Jake Tapper does.

And Thomas Friedman does.

And Sen. Lindsey Graham does.

How interesting is that?

Truth is, as I pointed out in a video I did DAYS AGO... Jamal Khashoggi was a Syrian "regime change" backing tool of the globalists who ALSO SUPPORTED Saudi Arabia's efforts to do away with the Houthi revolution in Yemen.

So WHY THE HELL are so-called "alternative progressive" voices sticking up for this guy and condemning MbS for his murder... which, by the way, there is still no real evidence for either it happening OR MbS' involvement?

Beyond Obvious: Lockheed Martin's Khashoggi Shake-down of Saudi Arabia

The sudden disappearance of Jamal Khashoggi has cast a shadow over what's been billed as the “blueprint for the 20th century.”

The three-day Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Saudi Arabia called "Davos in the Desert" is set for October 23-25 in Riyadh. This is the annual event is "intended to showcase Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s (MbS) modernization plan for the desert kingdom" and it attracts Big Business and highly placed government officials from around the world.

The "gathering is co-hosted by the kingdom’s massive sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund, and the crown prince"

It is also "cosponsored by corporate giants like HSBC, Mastercard, and Uber"

To put it's importance to Big Business in perspective,  "Uber got a $3.5 billion investment from the PIF two years ago"

That is a massive investment in one company which turned Uber around and made it into a major player on the world stage. And that would explain why "(o)ver 3,800 people have registered to come and nearly 200 speakers are expected"

Much has been written as of late about businesses and government officials pulling out of the conference but that's not exactly accurate. The list of those who have confirmed their cancellation is small as one might expect when so much money is there for the taking.

I believe the Jamal Khashoggi crisis is directly tied to the Saudis missing a Sept. 30th deadline to buy Lockheed Martin's THAAD missile defense system. 15 billion bucks is a big contract to back out of especially if they intend to buy Russia's S-400 system instead and I have a number of events from the past year that show us our government and the press are not opposed to helping LM promote sales via terror campaigns.

On the Korean peninsula leaders from South Korea and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) met this past week in an effort to walk back the aggressive stance that’s developed between the two halves of one former nation. Today, the state media of the DPRK hailed this moment as historic as there are once again, hopes for peace and reunification on the horizon. Even the warmongering complicit media outlet CNN seemed taken in by the optimism.

“A North Korean state newspaper is celebrating the country’s leader over the resumption of face-to-face talks with the South, saying Kim Jong Un’s policy to improve relations were “brilliant” for “national reunification.”

The article in state newspaper Rodong Sinmun said recent high-level talks “proved again that there is no problem unsolvable if the North and the South pool their efforts.”

In talks Tuesday, the North agreed to send a delegation to next month’s Winter Olympics in South Korea and to hold talks with Seoul to ease military tensions…

Despite climate and terrain favorable for participating in cold-weather sports, North Korea hasn’t sent a delegation to the Winter Olympics since 1992.” CNN

Our various leaders have worked really hard over the last few decades making sure peace didn’t break out in the region. Peace isn’t profitable. And a potential reunification of the Koreas would undoubtedly effect some of our glorious national interest’s profit margins.

Hawaiian False Alarm, the Aegis Ashore System and a Pending $2 Billion Dollar Contract: Shall We Play a Game?

The following are a series of clips from various news agencies which illuminate a pattern that I noticed while researching what happened yesterday in Hawaii. I will be producing a video about this later today but unfortunately one of my cats passed away last night and I have to repair a tire this morning so while my interest in the events is certainly peaked, my thoughts are less focused than they should be.

As I wrote last night about the false alarm that took place yesterday, I find it hard too believe that one person can send any message in their emergency system with the “accidental” press of a button and I find it harder to believe it takes 38 minutes to post a correction… ESPECIALLY if “one person can send any message in their emergency system with the… press of a button”

These two statements make no sense in conjuncture with one another when you think about it and they contradictory to one another when Hawaiian officials make them as well.

He campaigned on the radical idea that maybe the people of his nation would be better off if they normalized relations with the government of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK or “North Korea” and pursued the Sunshine Policy the previous corrupt president of South Korea turned her back on at the behest of America and her “national interests”

The previous corrupt president was kicked out of office for being corrupt but before she left she cut a deal to stick another THAAD missile defense system in her country, a deal that promised HUGE profits for Lockheed Martin, the company that manufactures them.
