So What Happened with Glenn Greenwald and What Does it Mean?

Was it some friend of a gay prostitute having a little fun with Glenn on Twitter? Or was it something else? Was it Israel? Glenn still talks about Israel. Was it Palantir? What did Glenn say about J.D. Vance 10 days before this happened? Is there a lesson to be gleaned from this story either way? Maybe he shouldn't have helped privatize the surveillance state.

Tilting at Windmills – Timshel (archive)

(archived from June 3, 2015)

by Scott Creighton

With the recent setbacks such as Obama getting his Trade Promotion Authority (fast tracking) and yesterday’s passage of the U.S. A. “Freedom” Act, one can’t help but feel we’re tilting at windmills out here in blogger land. Some would say (and have repeatedly said) that we’re fighting an enemy that doesn’t exist. One that we have created ourselves out of targets we can’t possibly understand. That we fear the future and wish to return to a simpler, more romantic period that we have idealized because we simply can’t adapt to the world as it is now.

Currently we’re looking at a countdown to the fascist TPP and TTIP, which by all rational accounts will end the sovereignty of every nation that signs onto them and decimate legal protections set forth by those countries on behalf of global business interests in terms of environmental protections,  worker’s rights, consumer’s rights, internet freedom, privacy protections, small business protections, intellectual property rights and so much more.

USA “Freedom” Act – Using Terrorism to Pass an “Anti-terrorism” Bill (archive)

(archived from May 31, 2015)

by Scott Creighton

Not like it’s the first time, is it?

Today is the day for the Grand Finale of the “Edward Snowden” psyop or the “Manufactured Hero” story as I also like to call it.

At midnight, the U.S.A. Patriot Act sunsets, or at least certain provisions of it do, and therefore the crisis theater threat color code has been turned all the way up to red. And it’s flashing (in spite of the fact that no terrorist threat was ever thwarted by the provisions of the Patriot Act)

Obama is demanding congress pass the “Freedom” Act. He says “God forbid” we don’t pass it and something happens after the Patriot Act goes dark.

One Trick Pony: How Our Government Works Today (archive)

(archived from June 9, 2015)

by Scott Creighton

By Deception, thou shall make fascism. One Party mandate

One manufactured crisis psyop after another. That’s how our government works these days.

President Obama signed into law the U.S.A. Freedom Act on June the 2nd. On June the 1st and most of Tuesday, June 2nd, certain provisions of the Patriot Act had been allowed to sunset, to expire. Those were controversial sections of the law which provided legal cover for things like collecting mass amounts of personal data from everyone, the “lone wolf” provision and roving wiretaps.

The New CISPA, the “Freedom” Act, Failed in Senate… for Now (archive)

(archived from November 19, 2014)

by Scott Creighton

UPDATE: Justin Raimondo has a good breakdown of the fraud of the USA Freedom Act and argues many of the same points I do.

Rather than fundamentally changing the way the NSA scoops up data, the bill merely outsources collection to immunized telecoms, compelling them to do the NSA’s dirty work…

The so-called “transparency” provisions in the bill contain numerous loopholes..

Some civil liberties groups, like the ACLU and the Electronic Frontier Foundation, argue that the present bill is “a first step,” and is better than nothing. This is nonsense: this bill is worse than nothing.

——

The bill will retain the essential operational capabilities of the existing bulk telephone metadata program while eliminating bulk collection.” James Clapper on his support of the USA Freedom Act.

Last night the USA “Freedom” Act, written by the same man who brought us the USA “Patriot” Act, Jim Sensenbrenner , failed to clear a key procedural hurdle in the Senate which would have allowed it’s supporters to bring it to the floor of the Senate for a simple majority vote, which it would win easily with the lame duck democratic Senate. The vote was 58 to 42, mainly down partisan lines with the dems supporting it by a wide majority. The pro-Business corporatist White House “strongly” supports the bill.

I have written on multiple occasions that the entire Edward Snowden psyop was designed in order to pass a new version of CISPA which 800 major US corporations sent advocates to D.C. to push for just a few months prior to the launch of the Snowden psyop.
