YSP members among 17 PKK suspects arrested in southern Türkiye

Turkish authorities on Saturday arrested 17 suspects linked to the terrorist group PKK, including five members of the pro-PKK Green Left Party (YSP).

Nazlı Binici, the head of YSP’s Suruç branch, as well as four other Suruç city council members belonging to YSP, a doctor and a teacher, were among the 17 suspects detained in raids across three districts of southeastern Şanlıurfa province last Wednesday.

The suspects were accused of operating as two separate groups within the PKK, with one surveilling and reporting on police stations and security checkpoints while the other was preparing for assassination against security forces under direct orders from so-called top members of the terrorist group, authorities said.

The YSP is informally known as the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) and is a successor of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP). The party rebranded as YSP after last year’s May elections to skirt a Constitutional Court lawsuit seeking its permanent closure over alleged links to the PKK. Washington spreads a propaganda on return of Daesh to justify its military presence in Syria

In an exposed attempt to justify its illegitimate military presence in Syria, the US has started to spread a propaganda on the return of Daesh (ISIS) terrorists as a report issued by Inspector General at the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) considered that Daesh terrorist organization is emerging again “in Syria because the US withdrew its forces from there,” and that “it has enhanced its capabilities” in Iraq.

The statement, issued by the Pentagon, claimed that ” Despite of its loss of its caliphate on the regional level, yet Daesh organization has enhanced its capabilities in Iraq and it resumed its activities in Syria over the current quarter of this year.”

The statement added that Daesh terrorist organization has been able to unify and support its forces in both countries and the reason behind that is partially due to the inability of the local forces to continue their long-term operations or to launch many operations at the same time or to maintain the lands which they have restored.”

The new US report is just an attempt to reproduce Daesh terrorist organization to be a scarecrow to justify the presence of the occupation forces in Syria and to supply them with more reinforcements despite of that facts affirm that these troops haven’t engaged in any battle against Daesh, but to the contrary, the US forces have directly interfered more than once to stop the advancement of the Syrian Arab Army in its war against the Takfiri organization through targeting the army in many areas by the US-led coalition.

The US report came few hours after revealing information on that the US brought an illegitimate convoy of truck and military vehicles which are affiliated to the so-called” International Coalition” to al-Qamishli City to support the separatist militias of Qasad which besiege the locals and attack them and they steal oil from the eastern region...

Washington brings 200 trucks, military vehicles to Qamishli to support Qasad militia

In a new breach of the international laws and conventions, the US brought a  convoy containing tens of trucks and military vehicles affiliated to the so-called “International Coalition” to  al-Qamishli City in support for Qasad (SDF) separatist militias which besiege locals and attack them and steal oil in the eastern region.

Local and media sources said that a new convoy embracing 200 trucks loaded with logistic aid and military vehicles affiliated to the US-led coalition entered al-Qamishli coming via the illegitimate crossing of Semalka which links Hasaka province with northern Iraq in support of the Asayesh and Qasad militias which are working rapidly to develop relations with the Israeli enemy in different domains.

In statements to SANA reporter, a number of locals affirmed that the illegitimate US presence in the province serves the US interests, indicating that Washington through the support which it provides for the separatist militias seeks to prolong the war and to maintain the situation of instability and chaos, in addition to providing a cover for stealing the resources of the country.

The locals referred to the crimes committed by the so-called “International Coalition” against civilians in the provinces of Deir Ezzor, Hasaka, Raqqa and Aleppo which claimed the lives of thousands and injured others

According to the source, a conference on the determination of the Kurdish-held areas’ status is expected to be carried out in Northern Syria. The media has not yet confirmed this information, but such a meeting had been long-awaited.

Referring to a number of influential experts and journalists (Diliman Abdulkader, Farhad “Fred” Khosravi, etc.), the source reported on a summit of Syrian Kurds, including leadership of forces opposed to Bashar al Assad, political parties, also community and civil society organizations leaders will be held in Ayn Issa town of Northern Raqqa under the sponsorship of the US. The event was marked as “Kurdish Congress” in invitation letters sent by facilitators, and the agenda contains issues of legitimation of the Kurdish administrative-territorial entity in Syria and the post-war settlement.
Furthermore, the source added representatives of the UAE and Saudi Arabia, that are partners of the US in the coalition, also have been involved in organizing the meeting.

It is planned that at the conclusion of the Congress participants will release an appeal to the Syrian President Bashar al Assad requesting the recognition of autonomy and providing local administrations with the broad repository of the powers, the source pointed out.

If it would be released, the backlash of the Syrian government against such a statement is not difficult to predict. Since the beginning of the crisis, Bashar al Assad has repeatedly stressed that he intends to regain control over all territories of the country without exception. Every mention of the Kurdish autonomy has caused harsh responses by Syrian government and military officials until the start of fighting against Kurdish forces. It is evident that the Congress facilitators cannot ignore it, which means that they deliberately provoke tensions between Damascus and Kurds...
