Two NYT Writers Caught LYING About Mpox Cases to Promote Deregulation of Big Pharma

by Scott Creighton

In an effort to promote the notion of deregulation of products to be shipped off to Africa, the New York Times published yet another scary Mpox Power Point Propaganda Piece this morning on the status of the outbreak on the continent of Africa in which they, once again, used horribly inflated numbers (SEE REAL NUMBERS OF CASES IN AFRICA FROM WHO TABLE AT END OF THIS ARTICLE) to justify asking for millions and millions of dollars to be pumped into the vaccine industry while allowing less and less oversight into the safety of those products.

It's not hard for them to research the subject. All they have to do is go to the WHO website for Mpox.

Here is what Elian Peltier wrote this morning:

'More than 17,000 people in Africa have been infected with mpox, a disease that is closely related to smallpox. Mpox has killed nearly 600 people on the continent, or about 4 percent of those infected. ' NYT

And here are the facts: total number of infections since 2022 in Africa is 6,062 with 55 deaths (1% not 4%) while this year, 2024, there have been a total of 3,659 infections with only 33 deaths (0.901%).

WHO Drops Mpox Numbers by a Ton and Still Asks for More Money to Buy Vaccines

I searched '2022-24 Mpox (Monkeypox) Outbreak: Global Trends' which brought me to WHO main page for Mpox outbreak which mentions nothing of the numbers cited by so many news orgs 2 weeks ago. It leads to a link by same name which leads to the link I shared which has same numbers. In short... the number revision is accurate. And yeah, they claim they aren't responsible for their horribly inaccurate data.

After the 'Crisis' WHO Adjusts Numbers of Mpox Cases and Deaths Down by about 95% or So

Mpox Vaccine Maker Bavarian Nordic Shares Soar Amid Concern Over Virus Outbreak

Today, with new numbers fresh on WHO website...

Mpox Update: WHO Says $87 Million 'Critical' for Containing Outbreak

That's right. After adjusting the numbers downward by a ton, the WHO is still pushing for more $$$ for Big Pharma.

----

Can't make this shit up.

Just when you thought you might want to give Dr. T and the wacky folks at the WHO another chance (after 'accidentally' screwing up Covid response so badly) they turn around and do this.

They told us just two weeks ago that there were over 15,000 cases of Mpox in this new outbreak with 535 deaths attributed to it at the time.

So of course, Dr. T declared the Mpox an international emergency and vaccine shipments were bought and paid for with the quickness.

Turns out, uh... yeah... its really 3,659 cases in the whole of 2024 all across the globe with only 33 deaths.

That's uh... 33 is about 5% of 535.

Yeah you can't make this shit up but apparently the WHO can.

Clarification from Dr. Meryl Nass on 'Novel' MPOX Vaccines

by Scott Creighton

This morning I wrote an article then made a brief video (3rd try) in which I mentioned Dr. Meryl Nass' use of the term 'novel' in an article she wrote the other day regarding the WHO MPOX vaccine roll-out  in Africa.

Nass clears up the issue by explaining that the WHO had not, as of the time of her writing the article, announced just which of the MPOX vaccines the WHO had approved for distribution.

Pandemic Agreement Timetable Leaves Little Room for December Adoption

(So Big mRNA wants to hold a vote for the Plandemic Treaty by Dec.?  Not out of the woods yet folks)

'“We must always keep the urgency of this generational agreement at the forefront because, as the current outbreak of H5N1 reminds us, the next pandemic may be around the corner,” added Tedros.' Health Watch

from Health Watch

As delegates at this week’s Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB) worked to nail down a day-by-day agenda for negotiating a pandemic agreement for the next few months, it appears increasingly unlikely that the talks will be concluded by year-end.

The detailed work plan – an indication that the Bureau has heard criticism that it has given member states too little notice in the past – underscores that there is so much to do in so little time.

As US Ambassador Pamela Hamamoto noted on the first day of the meeting, the work proposal for the next INB meeting in September “assumes we can reach consensus on at least one article per day, which may be overly ambitious”.

Delegates have also resolved to include consultation with experts as part of the process. This is high time, given that the structures and processes they agree on should be workable for frontline pandemic ‘responders’: scientists studying pathogens, pharmaceutical companies making medicines, health workers and government officials trying to contain outbreaks. But it will mean more time is needed.

New co-chair Anne-Claire Amprou also told delegates on Wednesday that they would need to decide by 11 November – not 15th, as assumed the previous day – if there was sufficient agreement to call a World Health Assembly (HWA) special session in December to adopt a pandemic agreement...

This prompted the European Union’s Americo Zampetti to comment that such sessions should not simply serve as information giving but also solicit the inputs and opinions of the stakeholders, which range from patient advocacy organisations to pharmacuetical companies...

WHO records over 400 attacks on Gaza healthcare facilities

from Press TV

The World Health Organization (WHO) says it has documented 410 Israeli attacks on Gaza’s healthcare sector since the regime’s genocidal war started on October 7.

According to the world body’s latest figures, the regime’s attacks have left 685 people dead and 902 others injured.

Israel’s strikes have also damaged 99 healthcare facilities and 104 ambulances across Gaza.

It added that two-fifths of Israeli attacks took place in Gaza City, a quarter of them in north Gaza, and another quarter in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis.

Attacks have resulted in 685 fatalities, 902 injuries, damage to 99 facilities and affected 104 ambulances," the UN agency said on X on Wednesday...

Israel hindering rescue missions to Gaza's Nasser hospital: WHO

 from Press TV

The World Health Organization (WHO) says Israel’s military forces are hindering medical rescue missions to the besieged Nasser Hospital, whose condition is “indescribable.”

The UN health agency issued a statement on social media on Tuesday morning, saying its staff managed to transfer 32 critical patients, including two children, out of the hospital on Sunday and Monday.

The transferred patients were moved to other hospitals and to field hospitals in the territory.

The regime’s forces had denied access to the facility since they took control of the hospital last week.

There are still an estimated 130 sick and injured patients and at least 15 doctors and nurses inside the facility, WHO said, warning that the conditions inside are ripe for the spread of disease.

“WHO fears for the safety and well-being of the patients and health workers remaining in the hospital and warns that further disruption to life-saving care for the sick and injured would lead to more deaths.”...

Cancer cases set to soar by 77% – WHO

(That's a mighty specific number for it to be caused by 'air quality, tobacco and fat people, don't you think? It's almost as if they know exactly how many experimental jabs were given out and what percentage of those jabs cause cancer. Almost as if.)

from RT

Global cases of cancer will surge to 35 million by the year 2050, the World Health Organization’s (WHO) cancer agency has predicted – a 77% increase over figures reported in 2022.

The predictive data, published on Thursday by the WHO’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), cites the use of tobacco and alcohol, as well as obesity and poor air quality, as the primary factors driving the expected increase in cases by 2050.

“Over 35 million new cancer cases are predicted in 2050,” the IARC said in a statement on its website, adding that this number is 77% higher than the 20 million diagnosed in 2022.

The IARC’s biannual report, which is based on data from 185 countries and 36 different types of cancer, also said that there were some 9.7 million deaths from the illness globally in 2022. About one in five people can expect to develop cancer in their lifetimes, it added, with one in nine men dying from the disease compared to about one in 12 women...

WHO chief breaks down in tears describing 'hellish' Gaza conditions

 from Press TV

The director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO) has broken down in tears while demanding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip amid relentless Israeli ground and aerial offensives against Palestinians in the war-torn coastal sliver.

Addressing the WHO Executive Board in the Swiss city of Geneva on Thursday during a discussion about the Gaza health emergency, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus became emotional, describing conditions in Gaza as “hellish.”

“I’m a true believer because of my own experience that war doesn’t bring solution, except more war, more hatred, more agony, more destruction. So let’s choose peace and resolve this issue politically,” said Tedros, who lived through war as a child and whose own children hid in a bunker during bombardments in Ethiopia’s 1998-2000 border war with Eritrea.

“I think all of you have said the two-state solution and so on, and hope this war will end and move into a true solution,” he said, before breaking down.

The WHO chief said he was “struggling to speak” as he looked down and took a long pause before adding that it was because the situation in Gaza was “beyond words.”..

Looming deadline puts pressure on slow pandemic treaty negotiations

 from EURACTIV

Controversial topics, little time and closed doors – talks are moving slowly and significant disagreements are yet to be negotiated among the World Health Organisation (WHO) members on a Pandemic Accord.

Given the complex and delicate topics on the table, doubts persist as to whether the 194 WHO member states will be able to agree on a pandemic treaty with any significant impact. At the same time, their deadline for an agreement on 24 May 2024 at the World Health Assembly (WHA) is extremely tight.

“I think it’s going to be challenging for member states to meet the deadline. My perception from the last session [in July] is that the process is moving slowly,” Daniela Morich, manager and advisor at the Governing Pandemics Initiative hosted by the Global Health Centre at the Geneva Graduate Institute, told Euractiv.

Agreeing on a new WHO instrument could be an opportunity to ensure better prevention and preparedness for future pandemics as well as agree on how to improve global response and global access to medical countermeasures.

The talks are happening in the Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB), which WHO members decided to establish in 2021 to draft and negotiate a new WHO instrument.

Many of the ongoing informal talks and drafting sessions have happened behind closed doors until now. So far, countries have been meeting to try to understand each other’s positions, but text-based negotiations still have not begun and compromises on the most tricky topics will be difficult to reach...

WHO pandemic treaty: Negotiations falter as pharma companies warn that intellectual property rules will harm profits

the BMJ

Pharmaceutical representatives and Germany’s health ministry have publicly opposed the latest draft of the World Health Organization’s pandemic treaty as a disagreement over waiving intellectual property (IP) rights becomes a sticking point in negotiations.

WHO’s pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response accord is intended to prevent future health threats from becoming as catastrophic as covid-19 by legally obligating countries to cooperate, share knowledge, and reduce health inequities.

Since WHO’s 194 member states officially began negotiating on the treaty’s content in March this year disagreements have centred on the scope of the accord and how strongly countries should be obligated to fulfil its stipulations. The disagreements, which often follow the dividing lines of lower and higher income countries, seem to be hardening as the thorny issue of IP comes into focus...

Draft “Pandemic Treaty” Fails to Protect Rights

from HRW

World Health Organization (WHO) member states should push for clear commitments to human rights protections in the text of a draft “pandemic treaty” being negotiated on November 6-10, four rights organizations said today. The current draft fails to enshrine core human rights standards protected under international law, most notably the right to health and the right to benefit from scientific progress, therefore risking a repeat of the tragic failures during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The WHO’s Intergovernmental Negotiating Body is meeting to debate the draft of a new international instrument on pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response with the goal of addressing the failures of the Covid-19 response and preventing another global crisis. However, rather than acting on the lessons learned from the Covid-19 pandemic, the current proposed text offers a weak framework for ensuring that countries will be accountable for maintaining a rights-compliant response to future pandemics.

This is the position taken by four international human rights groups: Amnesty International, the Global Initiative for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the International Commission of Jurists, and Human Rights Watch..

G7 To Urge ‘Evidence-Based, Expert-Led WHO-Probe' into COVID Origins, Leaked Docs Claim

from Sputnik International

Although a report by the World Health Organization on the origins of COVID-19 concluded it was "extremely unlikely" the virus escaped from a lab in the Chinese city of Wuhan, on 26 May US President Joe Biden set a 90-day deadline for intelligence officials to probe if the pandemic might have been the result of a “laboratory accident".

At the G7 summit in Cornwall, Britain, on 11-13 June, leaders of the world's seven largest so-called advanced economies - Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK and the United States – are set to back a renewed push for a “transparent” probe by the World Health Organization (WHO) into the origins of Covid-19, according to a leaked document cited by Bloomberg News.

A draft communique for the meeting suggests that member-states of the G7 will “call for progress on a transparent, evidence-based, and expert-led WHO-convened phase 2 study on the origins of COVID-19, that is free from interference.”

Furthermore, it is reported that the G7 will commit to delivering a billion extra doses of the COVID-19 vaccine over the next year to boost global protection against the respiratory disease. The draft communique cited by the outlet will purportedly argue that the renewed commitment will increase the number of people in the developing world that are granted an opportunity to receive a jab.

Dominating the agenda of the gathering will be COVID-19 recovery, including "a stronger global health system that can protect us all from future pandemics". The agenda also includes climate change and trade.

Ahead of his arrival at the summit, US President Joe Biden said the US would commit to buying 500 mln doses of the vaccine for distribution in developing countries...
