The White House is "circulating" a plan to transform a substantially depopulated Gaza into US President Donald Trump's vision of a high-tech "Riviera of the Middle East" brimming with private investment and replete with artificial intelligence-powered "smart cities."

That's according a 38-page prospectus for a proposed Gaza Reconstitution, Economic Acceleration, and Transformation (GREAT) Trust obtained by The Washington Post and published in a report on Sunday. Parts of the proposal were previously reported by the Financial Times.

"Gaza can transform into a Mediterranean hub for manufacturing, trade, data, and tourism, benefiting from its strategic location, access to markets... resources, and a young workforce all supported by Israeli tech and [Gulf Cooperation Council] investments," the prospectus states.

However, to journalist Hala Jaber, the plan amounts to "genocide packaged as real estate." 

The GREAT Trust was drafted by some of the same Israelis behind the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), whose aid distribution points in Gaza have been the sites of deliberate massacres and other incidents in which thousands of aid-seeking Palestinians have been killed or wounded.

According to the Post, financial modeling for the GREAT Trust proposal "was done by a team working at the time for the Boston Consulting Group"—which played a key role in creating GHF. BCG told the Post that the firm did not approve work on the trust plan, and that two senior partners who led the financial modeling were subsequently terminated.

The GREAT Trust envisions "a US-led multirlateral custodianship" lasting a decade or longer and leading to "a reformed Palestinian self-governance after Gaza is "demilitarized and de-radicalized."

Josh Paul—a former US State Department official who resigned in October 2023 over the Biden administration's decision to sell more arms to Israel as it waged a war on Gaza increasingly viewed by experts as genocidal—told Democracy Now! last week that Trump's plan for Gaza is "essentially a new form of colonialism, a transition from Israeli colonialism to corporate" colonialism...

Maduro accuses US of using military to force regime change

(Here is the plan as I see it. In 2002 the Bush/Cheney regime (9/11) orchestrated a military coup in which Hugo Chavez was captured and taken via helicopter from the capitol.  A million Venezuelans marched to the presidential palace and surrounded it while the head of the Venezuelan Chamber of Commerce declared his new presidency and celebrated with business leaders in the hall with him inside the palace. The palace guard convinced the people to hold off while they tried to fix the situation. They went in and told the business cronies that they were about to be torn to shreds by a million pissed off Venezuelans so they called the Americans and had them return Chavez. 

TrumpyBear, being led by the nose by his idiot military leaders, figure they can fix that situation with 4,000 marines but Maduro has activated the militias and sent them tons and tons of weapons. The marines will be slaughtered when a buisnessman and his mercinaries take the palace trying to get control of the country as well as the 50 million dollar bounty on Maduro's head.

When the marines are wiped out, as the military leadership knows will happen, then they can say Venezuela has started a war with America and they can kick it off in earnest.

Iran condemns US warmongering policy toward Venezuela

Iran has condemned the United States’ threats to use force against Venezuela’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, warning against the dangerous consequences of Washington’s acts of adventurism for the Caribbean region’s peace and security.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Thursday, days after the US military deployed three Navy missile destroyers and around 4,000 military personnel to the waters off Venezuela.

The administration of US President Donald Trump also doubled to $50 million a reward for the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, claiming that he is one of the world’s largest narco-traffickers, an allegation rejected by Caracas.

In its statement, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said the US actions, which are a continuation of Washington’s interventionist and illegal policies towards the Venezuelan nation, violate the UN Charter that prohibits the use of force or threats against independent states, and indicate the American administration’s disregard for the basic rules and norms of international law.

Trump's Peace Accord Meeting Today: Will TDS of the Left Derail it?

This afternoon, President Trump will be meeting with President Zelensky (his term ended a while ago and refuses to allow fresh elections meaning... like Benjamin Netanyahu, when the conflict is over, so is his political career... back to playing piano with his penis for laughs I guess)  regarding Trump's recent talk with Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

Also attending the meeting remotely will be British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

Needless too say this is a high level bit of diplomacy the Trump administration is about to pull off in pursuit of bringing the Ukraine/Russia war to an end.

As expected the fake alt-left has nothing positive too say about this potential war-ending maneuver. Were it ObamaGod doing this I am sure they would already be lining up to give him yet another Peace Prize especially since he didn't deserve the first one. Hell, even Google AI knows it, and Google AI is an idiot.

The summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart, Donald Trump, in Alaska has challenged the West’s entrenched confrontational narratives regarding relations with Moscow, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has claimed.

In defiance of the EU’s prevailing approach, Fico halted Bratislava’s military aide to Kiev in October 2023, and has been a vocal critic of the bloc’s sanctions against Moscow, as well as suggestions that Ukraine join NATO.

Trump BLS pick hints at halting monthly jobs report

President Donald Trump’s pick to lead the Bureau of Labor Statistics is floating the idea of suspending the monthly jobs report in favor of less-frequent quarterly data published by the statistical agency.

E.J. Antoni said that BLS should halt issuing the reports — which are widely relied upon by economists, the Federal Reserve, Wall Street and other businesses to gauge the state of the economy in close to real time — until its methods can be improved to limit subsequent revisions. 

“How on earth are businesses supposed to plan — or how is the Fed supposed to conduct monetary policy — when they don’t know how many jobs are being added or lost in our economy?” Antoni said in an interview with Fox News Digital released Tuesday.

“Until it is corrected, the BLS should suspend issuing the monthly job reports but keep publishing the more accurate, though less timely, quarterly data,” said Antoni, who is currently the chief economist at the conservative Heritage Foundation...

Increasing revenues flowing into U.S. government coffers from tariffs would make it difficult for the Supreme Court to rule against the Trump administration on the issue if a lower court case makes its way to country's top court, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Tuesday.

 

"The more money coming in, it gets harder and harder for SCOTUS to rule against us," Bessent said in an interview on Fox Business Network's "Kudlow."

Bessent was responding to a question about a case currently in front of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C., which challenges the legality of what Trump calls "reciprocal" tariffs as well as a separate set of tariffs imposed in February against China, Canada and Mexico.

The administration of US President Donald Trump has declared that states and cities boycotting Israeli firms will be denied federal funding for natural disaster preparedness, marking a new level of support for its ally, even as Israel faces global condemnation over its ongoing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) said in grant notices posted on Friday that states must follow its "terms and conditions" to qualify for funding, including  certifying they will not cut “commercial relations specifically with Israeli companies.”

According to the notices, the condition applies to at least $1.9 billion that states rely on to cover expenses related to search-and-rescue equipment, emergency manager salaries and backup power systems.

In April, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which oversees FEMA, said that boycotting Israel is prohibited for states and cities receiving its grant funds.

Bloomberg reported on Friday that FBI officials earlier this year redacted the name of U.S. President Donald Trump from the agency's files on late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Three unnamed sources confirmed to Bloomberg that the FBI had redacted the names of Trump and other prominent public figures even before the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) announced last month that "no further disclosure" of the Epstein files "would be appropriate or warranted."

Bloomberg's sources explained that "Trump's name, along with other high-profile individuals, was blacked out because he was a private citizen when the federal investigation of Epstein was launched in 2006."

The reviewers applied two Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) exemptions to justify their redactions, according to the report: One that "protects individuals against 'a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy'" and another that protects against disclosures that "could reasonably be expected to constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy."

Bloomberg noted that there is nothing particularly exceptional about this because these standards have long been employed by the FBI when it comes to redacting FOIA requests, even when it comes to high-profile public figures such as Trump.

Witkoff’s statements came as part of his announcement of Washington’s withdrawal from the talks in Qatar, only a day after Hamas presented its response to the latest Witkoff proposal.

Witkoff’s statement that the U.S. would find another way of securing “stability” in Gaza and the release of Israeli hostages in the Strip was later backed with a similar statement from President Trump, who said on Friday that Hamas “didn’t really want to make a deal.”

A senior Hamas official has condemned US President Donald Trump's remarks about the absence of famine in Gaza. 

Izzat al-Rishq stated on Sunday evening that Trump's denial of famine in Gaza is a blatant repetition of Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu's narrative and lies.

"We are surprised by the statements issued by President Trump, which contradict the mediators' assessment of the movement's position and are inconsistent with the negotiations process," Izzat al-Rishq said in a press statement.

Al-Rishq condemned Trump's assertions, emphasizing that they "deny the famine despite the testimony of the United Nations and international organizations, and the deaths of dozens of children from starvation due to the siege and the prevention of food and medicine entry."

He further claimed that Trump's statements inadvertently give the Israeli regime additional justification to pursue its alleged campaign of extermination and starvation against the Palestinian population.

"We call on the US administration to stop exonerating the occupation and providing it with cover to continue its war of extermination and starvation against more than two million people in the Gaza Strip," he added.

The Wonderful Secret (WSJ article behind a paywall because of course it is) letter sounds exactly like it was written by Donald J. Trump, for those of you out there who say it doesn't.

'The Journal notes that the letter bearing Trump’s name was outlined by a drawing of a naked woman, and that the woman appeared to be hand-drawn with a heavy marker. Trump’s signature, as “Donald,” appears below the woman’s waist.

It’s unclear how the text of the letter, which was typewritten, was prepared, according to the Journal. Here is what the outlet reports was inside of the outline of the naked woman:

Voice Over: There must be more to life than having everything.

Donald: Yes, there is, but I won’t tell you what it is.

Jeffrey: Nor will I, since I also know what it is. 

Donald: We have certain things in common, Jeffrey. 

Jeffrey: Yes, we do, come to think of it.
