‘Uncommitted’ voters unite against Biden ahead of Super Tuesday

(Don't you dare cast a vote for Biden on Tuesday. Leverage is always a finite asset. It lasts only so long. Send the message now that he gets no support in Nov. if he doesn't put an end to Bibi's War. Folks who chirp...'but...but...but...TRUMP!?!?' are trying to manipulate you. A vote of 'uncommitted' now has nothing to do with Trump winning his primary and even less to do with the general election in Nov. At this pivotal moment a vote for Biden is a vote for genocide. Period.)

from RT

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the largest socialist organization in the US, has urged primary voters to cast their ballots for ‘uncommitted’ rather than President Joe Biden to show their opposition to his stance on the Israel-Hamas war.

The announcement comes just two days before the primary elections on March 5 – known as Super Tuesday – when millions of Americans are expected to vote.

In a series of X (formerly Twitter) posts on Sunday, the DSA, which has more than 92,000 members and chapters in all US states, demanded that the White House end the bloodshed in Gaza by revoking military assistance to Israel, saying Biden will be to blame if former President Donald Trump is reelected this year.

“Today, DSA endorses ‘Uncommitted’ in the remaining Democratic presidential primaries. Until this administration ends its support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza and delivers a permanent, lasting ceasefire, Joe Biden will bear the responsibility for another Trump presidency,” the organization said, adding that “defeat is certain” if Biden continues on the current course...

Here are the latest examples of the astonishing dishonest ‘NYTimes’ coverage of Israel’s war on Gaza

 from Mondoweiss

The New York Times continues to set new records of dishonesty in its coverage of Israel’s war on Gaza.

First, instead of starting to correct its questionable reports on sexual violence during the October 7 Hamas attack, the paper is conducting an internal witch hunt, one that targets its Middle Eastern and Muslim employees, to track down the sources of leaks about the scandal. Second, the Times continues to blame the Gazan victims for the February 29 Flour Massacre, in which Israeli soldiers opened fire on a crowd of hungry Palestinians, killing more than 100 people and wounding another 700.

The Intercept continues its valuable reporting on the Times’s botched coverage of the sexual violence. It used internal sources at the paper, and also translated a podcast in Hebrew from Anat Schwartz, one of the “reporters” on the widely-circulated stories, in a long report that raised even more doubts about the truth. We already knew that two of the three bylines on the Times’s reports belonged to Israelis with no experience in journalism, one of whom had already revealed vicious anti-Palestinian bias on social media.

Instead of taking action to fix the problem, the paper launched an internal witch hunt to find the leakers. The Times’s union president fought back, charging that the investigation targeted particular employees with Middle Eastern or North African backgrounds “for their national origin, ethnicity and race.” Union president Susan DeCarava said: “We demand that The Times cease what has become a destructive and racially targeted witch hunt.”

The Times has a simple solution at its disposal. It needs to assign real reporters to do the sexual violence stories all over again. At this point, it appears the paper sees no reason to do so. Speaking of the heavily criticized report, Times International Editor Phil Pan told The Intercept, “We remain confident in the accuracy of our reporting and stand by the team’s investigation.”...

Shut it down for Palestine

(find an action near you or another way to support)

from Shut It Down For Palestine

There is a growing global movement for a Free Palestine. Across the world, millions of people are engaging in demonstrations and organizing major marches in solidarity with Palestine. Our demands for an immediate ceasefire, cutting all aid to Israel, and lifting the siege on Gaza have broader support than ever. On November 4th, over 500,000 gathered in Washington DC for the largest march in recent times to stand in solidarity with Palestine. Protests with half a million people erupted on the streets of London, constituents across Canada occupied over 17 MP offices from coast to coast, and Belgian dock workers' unions have refused to transport weapons by plane or sea that are destined for Israel.  We must keep building momentum and increase the pressure with more marches, walk-outs, sit-ins, and other forms of direct action directed at the political offices, businesses, and workplaces that fund, invest, and collaborate with Israeli genocide and occupation. NOW is the time for our mobilizations to grow in size, frequency, and focus; building a political climate that makes Israel’s business of genocide unsustainable.

Already protesters have shut down highways, train stations, and bridges in the United States; activists have targeted Israeli weapons manufacturers; Belgian dockworkers’ unions have refused to handle weapons transports to Israel; Bolivia has cut diplomatic ties with Israel while Jordan, Chile, and Colombia have recalled their Israeli ambassadors. Be part of the change, take action, and make your voice heard as the global struggle for Palestine enters a new phase.

Join the Shutdown for Palestine on Friday, December 8, 2023. We call on movements, organized labor, youth, students, media and healthcare workers, and all members of society to join us in demanding an immediate ceasefire, cutting all aid to Israel, and lifting the siege on Gaza. This call to action started on November 9, but we will continue to build up the momentum with ongoing days of action. No business as usual until Palestine is Free!

The al-Nabulsi Massacre, French Farmers, Maui Land-grab: They're Coming for Everything

When are folks going to understand it wont end with the Palestinians or the farmers or the Hawaiians living in Maui? They want it all and if we keep our heads tucked safely in the sand eventually they'll come for what you got. A rant.

Israel’s killing rage

from al Jazeera

gaza

Another day, another outrage.

That is the inevitable lot of Palestinians in the grim, dystopian wasteland that is Gaza.

It is inevitable because it does not matter the scale, nature or manner of the outrages, Palestinians have been, and always will be, considered disposable human fodder by Israel’s army of unrepentant enablers and apologists.

They are, of course, hard at work trying, as they are conditioned to do, to find an explanation, an excuse, a rationale to absolve Israel of responsibility for the crimes against humanity that it has committed with impunity in Gaza and beyond.

In their myopic calculus, Israel is never to blame, never responsible, never the perpetrator, never guilty. To admit that Israel is to blame, responsible, the perpetrator or guilty, would mean, in effect, admitting their guilt too.

The usual pallet of lies, distortions, and obfuscations is being deployed, on cue, by the usual suspects in the usual capitals and newsrooms to deny or obscure the obvious...

US blocks UNSC motion to condemn Israel over shooting of Gaza aid-seekers

from Press TV

The United States has once again backed Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza, blocking a UN Security Council statement that would have blamed the Israeli forces for killing Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid in the besieged strip.

The statement, which was drafted by Algeria, was supported by 14 of the 15 council members on Thursday, Riyad Mansour, the Palestinian UN ambassador, told reporters.

Algeria called for a UNSC emergency meeting behind closed doors after Israeli forces opened fire on Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid near al-Nabulsi roundabout in Gaza City earlier on Thursday, killing at least 112 people and injuring hundreds of others.

The US defended its blocking of the motion, citing contradictory reports and a lack of all facts...

Global condemnation pours in after Israeli massacre of aid seekers in Gaza

from Press TV

Global condemnation has poured in following a recent deadly attack by the Israeli occupation forces on Palestinian civilians seeking food aid in the besieged Gaza Strip, which has been under the illegal regime’s incessant bombardment for the past five months.

At least 112 people were killed and more than 750 others wounded on Thursday as the Israeli forces opened fire on Palestinians who had surrounded a convoy of 38 aid trucks in Gaza, with the Palestinian health ministry calling the incident a "massacre.”

The latest Israeli crime comes as NGOs and UN experts have on several occasions voiced fears of famine in the besieged territory, which is completely cut off from aid by the occupation since October last year.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Friday expressed “shock” and “seriously” condemned the attack on Palestinians who had been struggling for aid in Gaza.

“China is shocked by this incident and strongly condemns it,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said. “We express our grief for the victims and our sympathies for the injured.”

Mao also called on the occupying entity to “immediately” implement a ceasefire and protect the safety of Palestinian civilians in Gaza...

Israeli minister hails soldiers who killed over 100 aid seekers in Gaza

Image

from Press TV

A far-right Israeli minister has hailed the regime's soldiers who killed more than 100 Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid in the besieged Gaza Strip.

“We must give complete support to our heroic fighters operating in Gaza, who acted excellently against a Gazan mob that tried to harm them,” Itamar Ben-Gvir, the so-called “national security” minister, said in a statement on Thursday.

He also reiterated his demand to prevent the entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza, claiming that it “endangers” Israeli soldiers.

Earlier on Thursday, Israeli forces opened fire on Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid near al-Nabulsi roundabout in Gaza City, killing at least 112 people and injuring hundreds of others...
