Israel to forcibly draft ultra-Orthodox seminary students

from RT

Israel's military has announced plans to forcibly draft 54,000 ultra-Orthodox seminary students this month following a Supreme Court order nullifying their exemptions, the IDF reported in a Telegram post on Sunday.

Military service is mandatory for most citizens of Israel, with both men and women required to serve in the IDF for a period of 24 to 32 months, usually starting at age 18. Most of the country's Arab population, who comprise 21% of the population, is exempt from military service, although some volunteer. Ultra-Orthodox Jewish seminary students have also been exempt for decades.

The conscription notices are scheduled for distribution throughout July, with enlistments staggered over the coming year.

The IDF said it will also strengthen enforcement against draft evaders and deserters across all sectors. According to local reports, authorities plan to take swifter action against those who fail to report for duty, including authorizing border police to set up checkpoints and carry out arrests...

Erdoğan rips Trump’s Gaza plan, blames US missteps for 'atrocity'

from Daily Sabah

U.S. President Donald Trump’s plans to displace Palestinians from Gaza and “take over” the territory would only be a “complete atrocity,” President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said as he repeated his rebuke of Trump’s shocking policy.

“It’s impossible to accept the forced displacement. It would be a complete atrocity,” Erdoğan said, according to a transcript of comments to journalists on a return flight from his tour of Malaysia, Indonesia and Pakistan.

He said the Trump administration was making "wrong calculations" regarding the Middle East, adding that heeding "Zionist lies" would only exacerbate conflicts.

Türkiye has rejected Trump’s plan to remove more than 2 million Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, claim U.S. control of it and turn it into the "Riviera of the Middle East." It has also said Israel's assault on Gaza amounted to a genocide while calling for international measures against its government.

"Unfortunately, the United States is making a wrong calculation about our region. One should not be engaged in an approach that disregards the region's history, values and accumulation," he said...

6 UNRWA staff among 18 killed in Israeli strike on Gaza school

from Daily Sabah

At least six members of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees were among the 18 killed Wednesday when Israel bombed a school housing displaced Palestinians in central Gaza.

The Al-Jawni school in Nuseirat had already been bombed several times over the course of the 11-month war in Gaza.

The latest strike Wednesday flattened part of the U.N.-run facility where Gazans had sought shelter, leaving only a charred heap of rebar and concrete.

"For the fifth time, Israeli forces bombed the UNRWA-run Al-Jawni School, killing 18 citizens, including two UNRWA staff members, children, and women, and injuring more than 18 others," Gaza's Civil Defence spokesperson Mahmud Bassal posted on Telegram, referring to the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees.

UNRWA later confirmed six of its staffers had been killed in two Israeli air raids on the Nuseirat school and its surroundings, calling it the highest death toll among its team in a single incident...

American-Turkish woman shot dead at anti-settler protest in West Bank

(Two Americans killed by the IDF in a week. The first being the one killed when Israel bombed the tunnel the 6 hostages were in and now an IDF sniper just pops one in the West Bank for daring to protest their illegal occupation. And what do you think our complicit media will say about it?)

from The Guardian H/T T

An American-Turkish dual national has been shot dead – reportedly by Israeli troops – while participating in a protest against settler expansion in the occupied West Bank.

Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi, a 26-year-old volunteer with the anti-occupation International Solidarity Movement, died in hospital on Friday after being shot in the head during a protest in Beita, near Nablus, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported.

Witnesses said she was shot at by Israeli soldiers positioned in a nearby field after “minor clashes” broke out. Troops surrounded a group of people praying, and Palestinians began to throw stones, which the soldiers responded to with teargas and live ammunition.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they were looking into the report that troops had killed a foreign national while firing at an “instigator of violent activity”...

Israeli lawmaker defends anal rape of Palestinian captives

(Hamas treats the hostages well even buying em pizzas while the IDF sodomites do this to theirs. Talk about backing the wrong horse. But we still cheer these animals whenever they show up in congress. We're on the side of the Nazis in Ukraine and the terrorists in Israel.)

from RT

Eight reservists have been accused of sodomizing a prisoner with a broomstick

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) arrested eight reservists on Monday as part of a probe into alleged torture of a Palestinian captive, prompting rioters, including several lawmakers, to break into a military base demanding their release. One argued that nothing was off-limits when it came to dealing with Hamas.

Ten soldiers were originally caught up in the investigation. Two were released early on Wednesday, while eight were ordered to remain in custody through Sunday. According to the IDF, they have been accused of aggravated sodomy, causing bodily harm, abuse, and conduct unbecoming of a soldier.

The arrest of the reservists on Monday interrupted a meeting of the Knesset Finance Committee, as a MP of the ruling Likud party, Hanoch Milwidsky, tried to walk out in protest.

“To insert a stick in a person’s rectum, is that legitimate?” asked Ahmad Tibi, an Israeli-Arab lawmaker.

“Yes!” Milwidsky shouted back. “If he is a Nukhba, everything is legitimate to do! Everything!”...

Israel illegally detaining, torturing Palestinians: Amnesty

from Daily Sabah

The London-based human rights organization Amnesty International on Thursday accused Israel of mistreating and torturing Palestinian prisoners.

Under the Unlawful Combatants Law, Israel systematically detains Palestinians "incommunicado," the group said, with the detainees being denied access to lawyers or contact with their families.

The report, based on interviews with 27 Palestinians including five women and a 14-year-old boy, includes allegations of torture, enforced disappearance, and cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment by Israeli forces.

One man, a 57-year-old pediatrician detained during a raid on a hospital in Gaza City in December 2023, said he was kept handcuffed and blindfolded for 45 days at a military camp while suffering starvation and beatings...

Ben-Gvir confirms atrocities faced by Palestinians in Israeli prisons

from Uprooted Palestinian Blog

Israeli Police Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir confirms the reports saying Palestinians are suffering atrocious circumstances in Israeli prisons and pushes for even harsher treatment.

Israeli Police Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir confirmed Tuesday’s reports of the atrocious conditions being faced by Palestinian prisoners and defended the legitimacy of such measures. He emphasized that these steps were part of his campaign promises and aimed at minimizing the rights of Palestinians detained over alleged “terrorism” charges to the bare minimum allowed by law.

“Since assuming my role as [Police] Minister, one of my top priorities has been to worsen the conditions for terrorists in prisons and reduce their rights to the minimum required by law,” Ben-Gvir said. “This was a commitment I made to my voters and the people of Israel during the elections when I announced my intention to take on this role.”...

Gaza Horror: UN Finds Israeli Forces Guilty of Sexual Abuse and Torture

(Systemic rape? Who committed systemic rape during this conflict? Oh. It was the Israelis. That figures. What also figures is the IDF soldiers making little boys strip naked and assume sexual positions. Draw your own conclusions. Pedo pieces of shit)

from Mint Press News

A UN-mandated Independent International Commission of Inquiry has uncovered evidence of egregious sexual violence committed against Palestinian men and women in the Gaza Strip. This adds to a mounting series of reports indicating the issue is widespread and systematic.

The United Nations report, released on June 12 under a Human Rights Council resolution, revealed that Israeli forces “systematically targeted and subjected Palestinians to SGBV [Sexual and Gender-Based Violence] online and in person since October 7, including through forced public nudity, forced public stripping, sexualized torture and abuse, and sexual humiliation and harassment.”

The report noted specific types of sexual violence perpetrated by Israeli soldiers targeting men and boys during ground operations and arrests. Soldiers took videos and photos of Palestinians after stripping them partially or fully naked. The captives were also “coerced to do physical movements while naked.”

Families of men and boys taken captive were made to watch as they were paraded in the street, either fully naked or in their underwear while being subjected to sexual harassment...

US won’t sanction IDF despite ‘gross human rights violations’ – media

from RT

The US government has determined that three Israel Defense Forces (IDF) units committed human rights violations against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank, but will still continue military aid to Israel, according to reports.

Under the so-called Leahy Law, the US Departments of State and Defense are prohibited from extending military assistance to foreign armies and law enforcement units that are proven to have flagrantly violated human rights. There is an exception, however, for when steps have been taken “to bring to justice the responsible members of the unit,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken outlined in an undated letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson obtained by ABC News and AP on Friday.

The accusations against two civilian and three military units, including the Netzah Yehuda Battalion composed primarily of ultra-Orthodox Jews, stem from incidents unrelated to the war against Hamas in Gaza...

Senior Israeli military officers step down as mass resignations rattle ranks

 from Press TV

High-ranking members of the Israeli military’s Spokesperson’s Unit have reportedly resigned as the regime’s devastating war on Gaza continues with no end in sight.

Israel’s Channel 14 reported on Monday that the unit’s head Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari had stepped down from his position.

It said among the resignees were the second man in Hagari’s team Colonel Butbul, as well as Colonel Moran Katz, and the International Spokesperson for the Israeli military Lieutenant Richard Hecht.

The mass resignations are due to the officers’ protest over operational and personal matters, the report said.

The “unusual” move during wartime reflects a state of disturbance within the Israeli military’s Spokesperson’s Unit, it added.

Recently, Israeli minister of military affairs Yoav Gallant admitted that the regime’s army is “paying a very high price” in its aggression against Gaza...
