Netanyahu paid Google $45 mln to spread Israeli propaganda

from al Mayadeen English

An investigation by Drop Site News has revealed that Google is engaged in a six-month, $45 million agreement with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office to promote propaganda through digital platforms. The contract identifies Google as a “key entity” in advancing the prime minister’s messaging strategy.

The contract surfaced just hours after "Israel" announced a complete blockade on food, fuel, medicine, and humanitarian supplies entering Gaza on March 2, 2025. Rather than addressing the humanitarian disaster, members of the Knesset focused on how Netanyahu’s office was preparing to contain the international backlash.

During a hearing, Avichai Edrei, spokesperson for the Israeli army, reportedly suggested launching digital campaigns to deny reports of hunger in Gaza. According to government records reviewed by Drop Site News, the prime minister’s advertising bureau soon initiated a vast messaging drive, deploying influencers and investing heavily in paid advertising on Google, YouTube, Meta, and X.

One widely promoted video on YouTube, published by the foreign ministry, declared: “There is food in Gaza. Any other claim is a lie.” The video, which has amassed over six million views, was amplified through the secretive $45 million campaign run with Google’s advertising arm, Display & Video 360...

CDC union says vaccine misinformation put staff at risk after Atlanta shooting

(So here we go. Time to shutter any questions about their next untested mandated vaccine jabs because... some crazy (read as 'patsy') might do something untoward. Yeah, that's a GREAT reason to erase the 1st fucking amendment to the constitution don't you think? That's right, shut up and take the jabs we tell you to take cus... some employee of the CDC might get hurt... while you will definitely stand a chance of having an adverse reaction. It's called informed consent people and folks have a right to do their own research and formulate their own opinions on the matter and then share that information with others. But not according to these people. Nope. Fuck you. Some guy might take pot shots at our window so just shut up and take the experimental jabs and live with the results. That MAHA America boys and girls at it's finest.)

from the Guardian

A union representing US Centers for Disease Control employees has demanded that the federal government condemn vaccine misinformation after a man who evidently blamed the Covid-19 vaccination for making him depressed and suicidal aimed gunfire Friday at the CDC’s headquarters in Atlanta.

The 30-year-old shooting suspect, who killed a police officer and died during the attack, had also tried to get into the CDC’s headquarters – but he was stopped by guards before driving to a pharmacy across the street and opening fire, a law enforcement official told the Associated Press on Saturday.

The CDC workers’ union said the deadly violence on Friday was not random and “compounds months of mistreatment, neglect, and vilification that CDC staff have endured”. It said vaccine misinformation had put scientists at risk...

Under pressure, TikTok puts a Zionist in charge of censoring pro-Palestine content

from PressTV

Under pressure from the Zionist lobby and fearing US ban, social media platform TikTok recently appointed an American Zionist to head its “hate policy” department, a move widely seen as a step toward censoring any content critical of the genocidal regime in Tel Aviv.

Erica Mindel’s appointment as TikTok’s Public Policy Manager for Hate Speech, announced in July 2025, has sparked significant criticism and controversy.

The role, which entails shaping the social media platform’s hate speech policies with a stated focus on “combating antisemitism,” has come under scrutiny due to her background, including prior service in the Israeli military (IOF) and work with the US State Department.

Mindel, a self-described “proud American Jew,” was hired following pressure from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), a notorious Zionist lobby group in the US, after a 2023 meeting.

Her responsibilities include developing policies in line with global regulations and addressing antisemitic content. She is based in New York City and is reported to earn an estimated £280,000 annually...

France's war on truth: Why Mahdieh Esfandiari’s arrest, mistreatment should alarm us all

from PressTV

The arrest and incarceration of Iranian academic Mahdieh Esfandiari in France is not an isolated incident but reveals a consistent and deliberate pattern of politically motivated crackdown against those who dare to speak up for truth and justice.

This pattern goes beyond censorship. It exposes the double standards in France’s approach to free speech: weaponized to serve the Empire and suppressed when used by the marginalized.

Back in 2015, the publication of blasphemous cartoons of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by the controversial magazine Charlie Hebdo sparked massive outrage across the Muslim world.

FBI, local police raid homes of pro-Palestine activists in Michigan

from PressTV

US law enforcement officials, including the FBI and local agencies, have executed a series of search warrants at multiple homes of pro-Palestine activists linked to the University of Michigan.

According to a union group, agents detained and questioned several individuals and confiscated electronic devices and personal belongings during the raids on Wednesday.

The raids were reportedly carried out in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, and Canton, at the request of Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.

"We strongly condemn the actions taken today and all past and present repression of political activism," the Graduate Employees' Organization (GEO) said in a statement.

It demanded accountability from university officials and the attorney general...

US revokes nearly 1,500 student visas: Who are the targets?

from al Jazeera

Hundreds of students and recent graduates have seen their visas revoked by immigration officials since United States President Donald Trump took office for a second time on January 20, 2025, with several also arrested.

Many of the targets of the visa revocations and arrests are students who participated in pro-Palestine protests which erupted on campuses across the country in 2024 amid Israel’s brutal war on Gaza. Others are individuals with more indirect links to Palestine – or those who have shown support for Gaza on social media.

The Trump administration alleges that these students spread anti-Semitism and pro-Hamas sentiment on campus – a claim students, lawyers and activists have all rebutted. Jewish activists and groups have been at the forefront of many of the most prominent protests in the US against the Gaza war.

Others have had visas removed after minor legal infractions – a speeding ticket or other traffic violations, for instance...

Israel-Meta nexus stifles pro-Palestine voices on Facebook, Instagram amid genocide

from PressTV

Recently leaked internal data has exposed Meta’s compliance rate of 94 percent with Israeli takedown requests since October 7, 2023, revealing the tech giant’s systematic silencing of content critical of Israel’s genocidal actions in Gaza.

The data was provided to the Drop Site website by whistleblowers, exposing the operational details of Meta’s “Integrity Organization”—a department claiming to ensure safety and authenticity across its platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.

The leaked data reveals that the Israeli regime, known as “the biggest originator of takedown requests globally,” is unique in its success in censoring speech, with a mere 1.3 percent of its takedown requests affecting Israeli users.

The leaked information confirms the American multinational technology conglomerate’s compliance with Israeli requests to conduct what has been termed the “largest mass censorship operation in modern history,” predominantly targeting users from Arab and Muslim-majority nations.

In total, users from over 60 countries have reported censorship of Palestine-related content, with the top 12 affected countries being Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Algeria, Yemen, Tunisia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey, respectively...

When speaking up for Palestine becomes a crime

from Mondoweiss

As a Palestinian, I learned very young that our very existence was a form of protest. Every family gathering that turned into a political discussion and every celebration existed in defiance of forces that would rather see us disappear. This is why the detention of Columbia University graduate Mahmoud Khalil strikes at the core of my being—I recognize in his abduction the same suffocating tactics used to silence Palestinians for generations, now deployed on American soil against those who dare speak our name.

Khalil’s detention by ICE agents on March 8, marks a watershed moment in American democracy. As his pregnant wife watched helplessly, government agents took away a legal permanent resident whose only “crime” was serving as a negotiator in campus protests calling for university divestment from companies profiting from Israel’s Genocide on Gaza.

Let us be clear: Mahmoud Khalil is a political prisoner—detained not for any recognizable crime, but for criticizing Israel. There is no law against calling for the end of genocide, nor should there be in a constitutional democracy. Yet the Trump administration has effectively created such a crime, linking legitimate criticism of a colonial state to “antisemitism,” by abducting and detaining a green card holder solely for his political expression...

US threatens 60 universities with fund cuts for pro-Palestine protests

from al Mayadeen English

The US Department of Education announced on Monday that it is investigating 60 colleges and universities, mainly those whose students established pro-Palestine encampments throughout the Israeli war on Gaza, over allegations of antisemitic harassment and discrimination, marking an escalation in the administration’s crackdown on campus demonstrations.

The move comes after US President Donald Trump threatened last week to withdraw federal funding from institutions accused of allowing "illegal protests" on campus.

On Friday, his administration stripped Columbia University of approximately $400 million in federal grants and contracts, citing what it called the university’s "continued inaction" in addressing alleged harassment of Jewish students.

The US House Committee on Education and the Workforce demanded in February that Columbia University submit disciplinary records by the end of this month for students involved in anti-"Israel" protests between April and January 2024, criticizing the Ivy League institution’s handling of the matter.

On Monday, the Education Department sent warning letters to 60 universities, including Ivy League institutions and schools within the University of California system, emphasizing their obligation under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act to protect Jewish students.

The department claimed that all 60 universities are under investigation for alleged violations related to "antisemitic harassment and discrimination."...

Pro-Palestine activism reignites on US campuses after Trump orders student’s arrest

from PressTV

Following the detention of Palestinian student-activist Mahmoud Khalil at Columbia University on Saturday, US President Donald Trump declared it was "the first of many to come."

Trump’s statement signaled a hardline stance against pro-Palestinian individuals and entities on various US campuses engaged in advocacy work that his administration has effectively criminalized.

He described Khalil as a “radical foreign pro-Hamas student” and made it clear that his administration would show zero tolerance for any pro-Palestinian advocacy work in American universities.

“We know there are more students at Columbia and other universities across the country who have engaged in pro-terrorist, anti-Semitic, anti-American activity, and the Trump Administration will not tolerate it,” the newly-elected Republican president noted in the statement posted on Social Truth.

His remarks sparked backlash from legal experts and activists, who questioned how a sitting president could publicly accuse an American citizen and green card holder of a crime without due process.

Activists and commentators also noted that Trump’s language – labeling pro-Palestinian advocacy as “pro-terrorist, anti-Semitic, anti-American” – suggests an impending crackdown that could conflate support for Palestinian rights with extremism...

‘New McCarthyism’: Pro-Palestine group denounces US Senate crackdown on Gaza protests

(Project Esther is from the Heritage Foundation. The same people who crafted Project 2025, the fascist destruction of the American government on behalf of Big Business and billionaires. The same people who are the ones actually directing DOGE pill-head boys. Project Esther is a war on those who support the ending of the genocide in Gaza and the West Bank.)

( 'Jacobin has said the effort is part of a red scare against the pro-Palestinian movement and the political left.[12] )

from PressTV

A pro-Palestinian advocacy group has condemned recent US Senate hearings on Gaza protests as a "McCarthyite witch-hunt" aimed at silencing students and professors in the US who advocate for Palestinian rights.

Palestine Legal, a Chicago-based advocacy organization, issued a strong statement on the platform X on Wednesday, criticizing the hearings as part of a troubling trend to suppress dissent and criminalize those who support Palestinian causes.

“These Senate hearings represent a McCarthyite witch hunt targeting students and professors who speak out for Palestinian rights,” the group stated.

It said the hearings followed an executive order from US President Donald Trump targeting  college advocates for Palestinian rights, adding that it is part of a larger strategy detailed in the Heritage Foundation's “Project Esther,” which was designed to dismantle the Palestinian rights.

Project Esther, created by the conservative think tank aligned with Trump, aims to eliminate dissent against Zionist policies, restrict educational access on related issues, and mobilize support for a crackdown on individuals and organizations opposing systemic racism and colonialism, starting with the Palestinian rights movement...

Schools, colleges that allow illegal protests will lose funding: Trump

from al Mayadeen English

Schools and colleges that allow illegal protests will face the withdrawal of federal funding, US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday in a post on his social media.

"All Federal Funding will STOP for any College, School, or University that allows illegal protests. Agitators will be imprisoned/or permanently sent back to the country from which they came. American students will be permanently expelled or, depending on the crime, arrested," Trump's post on Truth Social read.

This decision comes amid Trump's crackdown on pro-Palestine protests and demonstrations, which took over United States universities during Israel's war on Gaza...

The US President Trump signed an executive order on January 29 targeting pro-Palestinian protestors by authorizing the US government to utilize "all available and appropriate legal tools to combat anti-Semitism, including prosecuting and deporting those accused of anti-Semitic harassment."...

Despite Trump’s attacks on freedom of the press, the Sullivan decision’s libel protections appear to be safe

Trump Megadonor Asks SCOTUS to Eliminate Key Media Protection

from Media Nation

Donald Trump may find that there are limits to how far he can go in tearing down the First Amendment’s guarantee of a free press. Adam Liptak reports in The New York Times that the U.S. Supreme Court doesn’t seem inclined to revisit the libel protections of New York Times v. Sullivan, writing:

[I]t was notable that just five days before President Trump took office last month, the Supreme Court seemed to go out of its way to signal that it is not ready to embrace one of his most dearly held goals: to “open up our libel laws” and overrule the Sullivan decision.

That signal came in the form of an approving aside in a routine decision by Justice Brett Kavanaugh for Sullivan’s requirement that public officials must offer “clear and convincing evidence” in order to win a libel case — a higher barrier than a “preponderance of the evidence,” that standard that applies in most civil cases.

The heart of Times v. Sullivan, a unanimous decision handed down in 1964, is that public officials must prove “actual malice” in order to win a libel case. That is, they most show knowing falsehood or “reckless disregard” for the truth. Subsequent decisions extended the Sullivan standard to public figures and narrowed the definition of “reckless disregard.”

The decision was intended to shut down a wave of libel suits brought by racist Southern officials aimed at silencing coverage of the Civil Rights Movement. The Sullivan standard also enabled investigative reporting on matters such as the Watergate scandal, since publishers no longer had to worry that small, inadvertent errors would bring about financial ruin...

Zionist group sending Trump list of pro-Palestine students for deportation: Report

from PressTV

An American-Zionist group is reportedly compiling the names of foreign students on visas to hand to the new administration of US President Donald Trump for deportation over holding pro-Palestine demonstrations across university campuses.

The World Betar Movement has initiated a campaign to identify the foreign students in the United States who have participated in anti-Israel activities on college campuses, The New York Post said.

The group is preparing a list of names to provide to the Trump administration, aiming to facilitate the deportation of individuals who condemn Israeli genocide and support Palestinian resistance movements in the Gaza Strip.

The group has about 30 names of students from countries such as Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Canada, and the United Kingdom currently enrolled in some of the top US universities, including Columbia, UPenn, Michigan, Syracuse, UCLA, The New School for Social Research, Carnegie Mellon, and George Washington University, it said.

Accusing the pro-Palestine students of anti-Semitism, Ross Glick, director of the US chapter of Betar, said, “We have started lists of Jew-hating foreign nationals on visas who support Hamas.”...

TikTok Exposed Youth to Genocide in Gaza — Is That Why Electeds Want It Banned?

from Truthout April 2024

... In recent months, numerous politicians and Zionist groups have expressed alarm over TikTok, alleging that it has an anti-Israel bias and conflating that with antisemitism. Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-New Jersey), cosponsor of the TikTok bill, posted on social media that “China-owned TikTok has been pushing antisemitic, anti-Israel, anti-American, and pro-Hamas content” and “is a propaganda machine to influence Americans.” Other members of Congress — such as Josh Hawley (R-Missouri), Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-Illinois), Ritchie Torres (D-New York), Marco Rubio (R-Florida) and Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee) — have made similar statements supporting the TikTok ban.

In claiming that TikTok is fueling “anti-Israel” and “pro-Hamas” content, elected officials are aligned with major Zionist organizations. Last fall, Jonathan Greenblatt, president of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), was recorded saying, “we really have a TikTok problem, a Gen-Z problem,” and groups like the Jewish Federations of North America and the Republican Jewish Coalition have applauded the TikTok ban.

Notably, some of the most vocal proponents of the TikTok ban — like Gottheimer, Torres and Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wisconsin), who sponsored the TikTok bill — are among the top recipients of donations from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), though AIPAC has not made any statements about the TikTok bill...

New Syrian al Qaeda regime to prosecute former state media reporters

(The al Qaeda government in Syria has a 'Ministry of Information'. That's the first thing. And of course they use Telegram. Prosecuting journalists who wrote about them killing and kidnapping and committing acts of terrorism all on behalf of a foreign nation. And the fake alt-left cheered for this.)

from al Mayadeen English

The Syrian Information Ministry, run by the armed opposition, announced on Friday that war reporters who worked for the ousted government of President Bashar Assad would be subject to "transitional justice."

In a statement on Telegram, the ministry confirmed that "all war journalists, who were part of the information war waged by the toppled Assad regime and contributed, either directly or indirectly, to the propaganda of its crimes against the Syrian people, will face just punishment under transitional justice."

Syrian newspaper Al-Watan reported on Monday that the opposition's general command had issued a ban on the persecution of employees of Syrian state media...

Australia Has Barred Everyone Under 16 From Social Media. Will It Work?

(Keep those kids ignorant until the indoctrination is complete. After stuff like this and what they did during Covid-19 (remember the camps they kept the unvaxxed in?) who the hell would ever want to go to Australia even to visit? The Great Reset testing grounds. I feel for the people down there.)

from the NYT

Australia has imposed a sweeping ban on social media for children under 16, one of the world’s most comprehensive measures aimed at safeguarding young people from potential hazards online. But many details were still unclear, such as how it will be enforced and what platforms will be covered.

After sailing through Parliament’s lower house on Wednesday, the bill passed the Senate on Thursday with bipartisan support. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has said that it puts Australia at the vanguard of efforts to protect the mental health and well-being of children from detrimental effects of social media, such as online hate or bullying.

The law, he has said, puts the onus on social media platforms to take “reasonable steps” to prevent anyone under 16 from having an account. Corporations could be fined up to 49.5 million Australian dollars (about $32 million) for “systemic” failures to implement age requirements.

Neither underage users nor their parents will face punishment for violations. And whether children find ways to get past the restrictions is beside the point, Mr. Albanese said...

‘NYTimes’ biased coverage of Amsterdam soccer violence attempts to hide Israeli racism

from Mondoweiss

The New York Times report on the recent soccer clashes in Amsterdam was so biased that you wouldn’t be entirely surprised if you found out that Israel’s propaganda/disinformation ministry had kidnapped the paper’s reporters and put guns to their heads.

At this site, Sana Saaed has already done an impressive post surveying the widespread global media bias about the events. But, unfortunately, the New York Times is the most important source of coverage of Israel/Palestine for Americans. The Times sets the tone for the cable TV networks, and other U.S. papers have cut back or ended their foreign coverage. So a closer scrutiny of its ongoing slant is indispensable.

The Times report, which started on page 1, used the word “antisemitic” six times, beginning in the headline. The first six paragraphs uniformly described the “Israeli soccer fans” as the victims, recounting their injuries, and dwelling on the Israeli government’s chartering of “at least three flights to bring Israeli citizens home,” insinuating that innocent people had to completely flee the country for their lives.

You had to jump to paragraph 7, buried on an inside page, to learn that the Israeli fans had, in fact, been violent and provocative the night before the game: they “vandalized a taxi and burned a Palestinian flag.” On game day itself, Israeli fans shouted “an anti-Arab chant,” but the Times never bothered to tell us what they were shouting. (Reports elsewhere said that one of the chants was: “Why is school out in Gaza? There are no children left there.”)...
