Resistance movements condemn Israeli assassination of Yemeni officials, vow sustained struggle

from PressTV

Resistance movements have issued separate strong statements of mourning and condemnation following the Israeli regime’s assassination of nine senior Yemeni officials.

In a collective statement issued on Saturday, Palestinian resistance factions commended the atrocities for their elimination of the lifelong defenders of the Palestinian people and their cause.

They vowed that “the escalating Nazi Zionist assassination operations” would not break the Yemeni people’s will, nor diminish their support for Palestine.

Extending condolences to Yemen’s Ansarallah resistance movement’s leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the country’s President Mahdi al-Mashat, and the martyrs’ survivors, the factions pledged continued “jihad (struggle) of victory or martyrdom.”

Houthi Leader: Israeli-enforced starvation in Gaza ‘shameful disgrace’ to Arab, Muslim leaders

(So what does Glorious Israel do in response to statements like this one? They bomb the people who make them. That's what.)

from PressTV

The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement has strongly denounced the world's Arab and Muslim states for their failure to respond effectively to the Israeli regime’s deliberate starvation of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

“What the Palestinian people in Gaza are enduring is a horrific tragedy. Children are dying daily from hunger — this is the worst stage of starvation,” Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said during a speech on Sunday.

The Yemeni official blasted the broader Muslim world for its passivity amid the situation, saying, “Many in Gaza are suffering extreme hunger while surrounded by hundreds of millions of Arabs and two billion Muslims watching helplessly -- as if they were a paralyzed nation.”

He slammed the Arab and Muslim world for its “absence of honor and conscience,” calling its inaction a “shameful disgrace.”...

US warplanes carry out 35 strikes across Yemen since early Sunday

from PressTV

US warplanes have carried out dozens of strikes across Yemen as the nation’s military forces escalate their operations and naval blockade in response to foreign aggression while continuing their steadfast support for Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Yemen’s al-Masirah television channel said the US had launched 35 strikes since the early hours of Sunday and targeted several Yemeni provinces, including al-Jawf and Marib.

“This escalation comes as the Yemeni Armed Forces continue their strategic attacks against Israeli interests and coalition targets in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, revealing desperate American attempts to undermine the steadfastness of the Yemeni people,” the television channel added.

A security source told the Yemeni News Agency SABA that the US aggression targeted the al-Hazm district in al-Jawf Province with ten airstrikes, and then targeted the Majzar district in Marib Province with three airstrikes...

Yemeni forces target Israeli Nevatim Airbase with hypersonic ballistic missile

from PressTV

Yemeni Armed Forces have carried out a retaliatory operation against a strategic Israeli military position north of the Negev Desert, as part of their unflinching support for Palestinians plagued by the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Yemeni military, announced in a statement that the Arab nation’s missile units targeted Nevatim Airbase, located 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) southeast of Beershea, on Saturday, using a homegrown Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile.

He added that the missile strike could successfully achieve its desired objectives, and the Israeli military’s anti-air missile systems failed to intercept the projectile.

Saree underscored that the Yemeni forces will continue to confront the US acts of aggression against their homeland, will not cease developing their military capabilities, will put up more steadfastness, and will offer greater support to the oppressed Palestinian nation...

US airstrikes on Yemen's Ras Isa oil port kill 74 people

(Trump did the old Double Tap where you hit a civilian location, wait for the rescuers and first aid folks to show up, then hit em again... deliberately targeting medical teams which of course is yet another war crime. We do that so the folks we target don't try to help the suffering and dying civilians we attack. Fucking monsters run our military.)

from PressTV

The US military has struck the western Yemeni oil port of Ras Isa, leaving dozens of workers and paramedics dead, and dozens more injured.

The facility in Hudaydah governorate was hit at least two times on Thursday night, with the second strike coming as civil defense and rescue teams were extinguishing fires and recovering victims.

A spokesperson for Yemen’s Health Ministry said at least 74 people have been killed and 171 wounded in those attacks.

The attacks are among the deadliest since the US launched air raids on Yemen after US President Donald Trump took office in January. In March, two days of US attacks killed more than 50 people, Yemeni officials said.

Ras Isa hosts an oil pipeline and port that are “critical and irreplaceable infrastructure” in Yemen, according to the United Nations Development Programme...

US airstrikes escalate in Yemen as 71 raids hit in 24 hours

from al Mayadeen English

Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported Friday that US warplanes launched more than 26 airstrikes targeting multiple areas in Yemen, including the capital Sanaa and the provinces of Saada and al-Jawf.

In Sanaa, the strikes focused on the southern region of the city. Eight raids specifically hit the al-Sawad area in the Sanhan district, located south of the capital.

In Saada province, northern Yemen, US forces carried out 10 additional strikes, including two on the Sahar district.

One civilian was killed and three others injured when a farm east of Saada City was bombed.

This marks a clear escalation in US military activity. Within a 24-hour period, a total of 71 airstrikes were recorded across Sanaa and the provinces of Amran, Saada, Al-Jawf, Marib, and al-Hudaydah...

'F---ing liar': Sen. Duckworth rips Pete Hegseth

(Does the Mighty Duck think it's WORTH anyone's time mentioning this is an ILLEGAL ACT regardless of who said what to whom? Of course not. She's one of Israel's BIGGEST SUPPORTERS in D.C.)

Alleged War Crime Applauded in Leaked Signal Chat

(Just straight up ignorant, frat boy monsters playing at war on behalf of Glorious Israel. What a fucking total embarrassment.)

from Common Dreams

Along with raising alarm about a massive national security breach — and questions about the competence of top officials in the Trump administration who “inadvertently” added a journalist to a Signal group chat about plans to bomb targets in Yemen — the incident that Atlantic reporter Jeffrey Goldberg publicized this week included an apparent “confession” of at least one alleged war crime.

Goldberg on Wednesday released the entirety of the group chat that was held via the commercial messaging app Signal, following denials by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt that any classified information was transmitted in the discussion.

In addition to making clear the detailed plans for attacks on Houthi targets in Yemen using F-18s and drones, the conversation included a brief message from National Security Adviser Michael Waltz in which he appeared to casually describe a strike on a civilian target in Sanaa.  Waltz first praised Hegseth, Central Command leader Gen. Michael Kurilla, and the intelligence community for an “amazing job,” saying a “building collapsed” after U.S. intelligence identified a Houthi leader who was targeted for a strike.

He then clarified his message for Vice President J.D. Vance: “Their first target — their top missile guy — we had positive ID of him walking into his girlfriend’s building and it’s now collapsed,” wrote Waltz.

The vice president replied, “Excellent.”...

US, UK conduct airstrikes against targets in Yemen for third consecutive day

from PressTV

American and British forces have conducted a fresh round of joint airstrikes against targets in Yemen, hours after two school girls were killed and several others injured following a joint US-British aerial attack on an educational center in the same Yemeni province.

Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah television network, citing a security source speaking on condition of anonymity, reported that two airstrikes targeted al-Kanab area in the Maqbanah district of Yemen’s southwestern province of Ta’izz early on Wednesday.

No further details were immediately available.

The attack came just a day after two girls lost their lives and seven others sustained injuries when US and UK military aircraft carried out a strike against a school in the al-Jund area of At-Ta'iziyah district in the same province...

Yemen: Hostage Luke Somers Killed During Rescue Attempt – Along With 8 Unarmed Civilians

(archived from December 6, 2014)

by Scott Creighton

UPDATE: According to the official story told by unnamed officials, those 8 civilians are now al Qaeda:

At least nine al-Qaida militants were killed in an initial drone strike, another security official said. Both spoke on condition of anonymity” Huffington Post

Also of note, the raid took place this morning, one day before the other hostage was reported to be released. That hostage died as well.

But an aid group helping negotiate Korkie’s release said he was to be freed Sunday and his wife was told that “the wait is almost over.” Huffington Post

The timing of the raid, just one day before that release, was spurred by a report from a Yemeni security official who claims he had word that Luke would be killed today.

———-

It hardly seems like a story worth reporting on anymore. “At least” eight civilians killed during a U.S. commando raid in Yemen. The headline at the New York Times focuses exclusively on the American hostage, Luke Somers, who also died as a result.

The left is busy running around protesting the militarization of police departments and the deaths of a couple unarmed men here in the states and feeling very good about themselves while they do it… while in the meantime, the military continues to rain hell down on unarmed civilians across the world and there isn’t a peep out of the fake left anymore.
