Iran says won’t allow US to ‘interfere’ in Strait of Hormuz management

from MEMO

Iran’s military said on Monday it “does not and will not allow” the US to “interfere” in the management of the Strait of Hormuz.

Washington’s “repeated adventures mischief to interfere in the management of the Strait of Hormuz have seriously jeopardized the security of the region,” the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said in a statement carried by the state broadcaster IRIB.

Tehran “will deal severely with any disruption and insecurity to the passage of commercial ships and tankers by the aggressive and bandit American army outside of Iran’s designated route and without the permission of the armed forces,” it vowed.

The military also warned countries of the region against cooperating with the US army.

Spokesman for Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) also said that Tehran “will ontinue to assert Iran’s sovereignty and control over the Strait of Hormuz with strength and determination.”...

US ‘taking over’ Strait of Hormuz – Trump

from RT

US President Donald Trump has claimed that America is “taking over” the Strait of Hormuz from Iran, and will act as the “guardian angel” of the key waterway “and get paid for it.” Tehran has earlier declared the strait closed, blaming “hostile actions” by US forces.

Speaking by phone to ‘Fox & Friends’ on Monday, Trump said Iran was getting its “ass kicked” in the war against the US, asserting that the country’s navy, air force and missile capabilities had been “virtually annihilated” and listing senior Iranian leaders he said had been killed.

He added that US troops were continuing to carry out strikes against Iranian targets after he declared a ceasefire with Tehran to be “over” this past weekend.

“We’re taking over the strait. They’ve got nothing,” Trump said, arguing that Washington should have dealt with what he called the Iran threat “47 years ago.” He accused successive US presidents of having been “tapped along” by Tehran without taking decisive action...

Sheinbaum takes on cartels, Trump and the legacy of 1968

from al Jazeera

One of Claudia Sheinbaum’s earliest childhood memories is visiting political prisoners with her parents, a moment that helps explain why she calls herself a “child of 1968” — the year protest movements erupted around the globe.

In Mexico, mass student protests targeted the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), which had governed Mexico since 1929. Often described as the “perfect dictatorship,” the PRI maintained the illusion of democracy through symbolic elections while suppressing dissent.

After months of protests, a crowd of activists assembled in Mexico City’s Plaza de las Tres Culturas on October 2, 1968. Helicopters circled overhead and flares were reportedly fired into the crowd, before snipers opened fire from nearby rooftops. As bodies fell, a panicked crowd scrambled for cover.

Estimates vary, but up to 300 were believed to have been killed and more than a thousand arrested, effectively quashing the movement.

‘Should Shock the Conscience’: Trump Admin Escalates War on Press With Subpoena of New York Times Reporters

from Common Dreams

The Trump administration on Friday escalated its war with the press by subpoenaing several reporters at The New York Times days after the paper published a story on Wednesday that detailed security concerns about the luxury jet the Qatari government gave to President Donald Trump.

According to the Times, the subpoenas are attempting to force reporters to testify before a federal grand jury in Manhattan on Wednesday next week, a move that the paper describes as an “extraordinary escalation in President Trump’s efforts to threaten and intimidate independent news organizations.”

West Bank Settlers Held Rep. Ro Khanna at Gunpoint at Destroyed School

(The genetic freak inbred Zionist settlers don't care. They just want to steal land. They aren't smart enough to drive much less worry about Israel's international reputation and or relationship with the political left in the States. All they know is what they want and how to stick their junk in their sisters to make more little genetic freak inbred Zionist settlers.)

from AntiWar

US Representative Ro Khanna (D – CA) reports that he was held at gunpoint for more than an hour earlier this week during his visit to the occupied West Bank when Israeli settlers confronted his entourage as he toured a destroyed Palestinian village.

“We were at a village that Israeli settlers had destroyed, they had destroyed the school, they had destroyed that village, and we were just looking at it,” Khanna said. “And these hoodlums come in with machine guns – M4, an American-made machine gun – and they detain us. They block off the road.”

The incident took place at the destroyed village of Khirbet Zanuta, a village near Hebron that was reported “ethnically cleansed” by settlers in 2023. Khanna reported that the settler group summoned the IDF and that the IDF sided with the settlers over the Americans...

How Marco Rubio Is Running Venezuela From Afar

(The Times article seems to approve of the new neoliberalized Venezuela as one of the writers is posted in Caracas and is surely aligned with the business interests of the nation.  They also lie about the capture of Maduro, suggesting it was a military achievement by TrumpyBear rather than treasonous betrayal by Delcy Rodriquez. However it does make clear how close Gusano Rubio and Delcy have become, talking and texting every day multiple times, her taking her orders from Rubio and doing Washington's bidding. She's down with the revolution, huh?)

from the NYT

President Trump was sitting in the Oval Office earlier this year with Secretary of State Marco Rubio when an idea came to him.

Maybe he should dispatch Mr. Rubio permanently to Caracas, the Venezuelan capital, where U.S. commandos had carried out the proudest foreign policy achievement of Mr. Trump’s second term: the capture of Nicolás Maduro, the country’s president.

Mr. Rubio could be the next leader of Venezuela, Mr. Trump suggested. And while the president’s aides say he was joking — and that he frequently teases Mr. Rubio about an overseas assignment — the fact is that Mr. Rubio does not need to move to Caracas.

He already runs Venezuela from Washington.

In the six months since U.S. forces blew open Mr. Maduro’s bedroom door and snatched him in the dead of night, Mr. Rubio has become the de facto viceroy of Venezuela, holding sway over a sovereign nation in a way that no American official has since L. Paul Bremer III arrived in Baghdad in 2003 to run U.S.-occupied Iraq

Mr. Rubio now effectively controls Venezuela’s finances, the distribution of its natural resources and its government, according to interviews with more than a dozen officials and people close to both governments in Washington and Caracas, who provided details about his involvement in steering the country’s policies. Many spoke on condition of anonymity to describe private interactions and internal discussions.

While he has not visited Venezuela in person since the U.S. took over, the secretary of state is deeply involved in the country’s day-to-day operations, keeping in close contact with Delcy Rodríguez, who was Mr. Maduro’s vice president and now leads her country on an acting basis, with the imprimatur of the United States. The two exchange messages in Spanish on WhatsApp, trading gossip, birthday greetings and selfies.

Despite the banter, the relationship between Mr. Rubio and Ms. Rodríguez is far from a partnership. It is a manifestation of Trump-era American power, in which the winner takes all regardless of sovereignty and international law.

German upper house advances bill to criminalize ‘denying Israel’s right to exist’

from MEMO

Germany’s upper house of parliament voted Friday to advance a proposal that would make it a criminal offense to publicly deny Israel’s right to exist or call for its destruction, Anadolu reports.

The measure, introduced by the western state of Hesse, would impose penalties of up to five years in prison or a fine for statements made publicly that deny Israel’s existence or urge its destruction — but only if they encourage “a willingness to commit acts of antisemitic violence or arbitrary acts.”

The legislation has drawn sharp criticism from civil rights groups and free-speech advocates, who argue it could chill legitimate criticism of Israeli government policies and erode the broad protections for freedom of expression guaranteed by Germany’s Constitution.

Following approval by the Bundesrat — which represents the country’s 16 federal states — the bill now heads to the Bundestag, the directly elected lower house of the national parliament. Lawmakers are expected to take it up after the summer recess.

Gaza warns of transport 'complete paralysis'; death toll on the rise

from al Mayadeen English

Gaza’s Ministry of Health warned that the remaining aging transport and ambulance vehicles are no longer capable of meeting daily needs, as shortages of spare parts and ongoing restrictions amid "Israel’s" genocide and blockade have placed the transportation system under increasing strain.

The Ministry said that 70% of these vehicles have been taken out of service due to direct targeting, the accumulation of technical faults, or the lack of available spare parts.

“There are real difficulties in meeting transportation needs, whether for patients or for healthcare workers, amid the absence of safe alternative transport options,” the Ministry stressed...

12 Gazans killed in fresh Israeli strikes as UN warns of waning aid

from Daily Sabah

At least 12 Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours despite a cease-fire that has been in place since October 2025, Palestinian health officials said Friday, as the U.N. warned that sweeping global aid cuts have left at least one million women and girls without access to critical humanitarian services.

The latest violence underscored the fragile nature of the truce, with Gaza's Health Ministry reporting eight deaths and 17 injuries from Israeli attacks during the latest reporting period. The ministry said the overall Palestinian death toll since the war began in October 2023 has climbed to more than 73,118, while 173,615 people have been wounded.

Health officials said many victims remain trapped beneath collapsed buildings or stranded in areas inaccessible to rescue teams because of ongoing security risks and widespread destruction.

Separate medical sources reported that two Palestinians were killed when an Israeli drone struck a home west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza...

Israel expands its borderless empire of election theft

The truth behind Petro’s claims of Colombia voting fraud

(Again electronic voting machines with secret software to count the votes owned by a private company.)

from the Bogota Post May 29 2026

Just days away from Colombia’s first-round presidential election, incumbent President Gustavo Petro continues to sound the alarm about voter fraud.

On Tuesday, he repeated claims that the National Registrar’s Office is allowing the vote to be manipulated against his party’s candidate, Senator Iván Cepeda.

Petro renewed calls for citizens to supervise the vote count, describing it as the only way to avoid fraud: “Only the physical vigilance of millions of people can overcome the algorithm manipulations that the Registrar’s Office refused to prevent.”

But are the president’s claims of vulnerabilities in the voting system valid?

‘A Pathetic Power Grab’: Trump Purges Bipartisan Election Assistance Commission

(Plus he's stupid and senile)

(and a pedophile)

(but he's gonna 'fix' voting in America and the tards keep backing him)

from Common Dreams

US President Donald Trump late Thursday forced out the remaining three members of an independent, bipartisan commission that assists state election officials across the country, a move that critics condemned as a “pathetic power grab” ahead of the 2026 midterms.

The two Democratic members of the Election Assistance Commission (EAC), Benjamin Hovland and Thomas Hicks, were fired, and Republican Commissioner Christy McCormick resigned at the White House’s request, according to ProPublica. The agency, established by Congress more than two decades ago, now lacks leadership and any ability to make decisions, just months before the 2026 elections.

The EAC, as its website states, is “an independent, bipartisan commission whose mission is to help election officials improve the administration of elections and help Americans participate in the voting process.” In an executive order last year, Trump ordered the EAC to implement proof-of-citizenship requirements in the federal voter registration process, along with other changes. The president’s effort to impose his policy demands on the EAC was mostly blocked in federal court.

Trump, who has said he wants his administration to “take over” voting nationwide ahead of the 2026 midterms, has since taken other steps that watchdogs and Democratic lawmakers say amount to an attempt to preemptively subvert the coming elections, including a sweeping assault on mail-in voting—which is also facing legal challenges. Legislatively, Trump is pushing Republicans to pass the SAVE America Act, a bill that experts say would prevent millions of Americans from voting...

'Israel' seeks US green light for new attacks on Iran: Israeli media

al Mayadeen English

"Israel" is seeking US President Donald Trump's approval to launch a new round of aggression against Iran, as tensions between Washington and Tehran continue to escalate and Tel Aviv weighs a possible return to direct military involvement, Israeli media reported.

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported on Thursday that "Israel" is attempting to secure a US green light for another attack on Iran, despite the current confrontation remaining limited to the US and Iran, with no Israeli participation in the ongoing exchange of fire.

The broadcaster reported that "Israel is not a party to the ongoing exchange of fire between the US and Iran, but it will respond if it comes under attack from Tehran," adding that Israeli assessments suggest the escalation is likely to continue in the coming days...

Trump declares end to Iran ceasefire, threatens to cut off trade with Spain

U.S. President Donald Trump threw a summit of NATO leaders into disarray on Wednesday as he demanded the United States cut trade ties with Spain and made renewed claims on Greenland, irking another NATO ally Denmark.

Speaking in the Turkish capital Ankara, Trump called Madrid a “terrible partner” in NATO as he railed against allies for not supporting the war on Iran and ordered Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to halt all trade with Spain.

Trump’s remarks, also declaring the fragile ceasefire with Iran to be over,, overshadowed a summit that European leaders had hoped would project unity and support for Ukraine and cap a series of rows that have threatened to tear the military alliance apart...

US Strike Targeted Bushehr Nuclear Plant Perimeter, Says Iranian Official

from NDTV

The United States targeted the perimeter of Iran's only civilian nuclear plant with a strike on Thursday, Iranian state media reported, citing the deputy governor of Bushehr province.

It came after residents of Choghadak, which sits a little more than 20 kilometres (12 miles) from the Bushehr plant, reported hearing several explosions.

Strikes have previously landed near the power station during the Middle East war...

Introducing My New Political Consulting Firm - Blu Bitches!

by Scott Creighton

Once again I am giving in to the AI seduction. I had an idea for a promotional poster for my new political consulting firm in the mold of Fight Agency called Blu Bitches! This is what I gave ChatGPT to work with:

'first, cartoon characters. then... name is 'Blu BITCHES!™ political consulting firm' at the top... logo 'if you know what's good for you!' at the bottom... in between a caricature of a Democratic Party Donkey angry and sneering down at two frightened young voters (boy and girl) in a threatening way as they stand in front of a voting machine (made by Hope&Pray Voting Machines)... that is the main focus of the image... behind the Donkey we have caricature of Obama riding a drone wearing an oversized Peace Prize around his neck laughing and Bill Clinton standing beside Monica Lewinski with a big smile on his face and finally Graham Platner drunk leering at Monica with a bulge in his pants. feel free to embellish as you see fit. In bottom right hand corner in regular Times Roman font small text 'endorsed by: Kyle Kulinsky, Bernie Sanders, Hasan Piker, Ryan Grim and a host of other money-grabbing sellouts' . the background should be something like a run-down White House overgrown with weeds and a big hole next to it from Trump's ballroom that never was finished. Is that too much?'

... and this is what we got back.

I like how fucked in the head ChatGPT can get if you let it.

I thought it would have an issue with 'hope and pray voting machines' but it didn't as it added the jizz on Platner's bloated stomach all by itself.

LOL.

Iran bids farewell to Martyr Ayatollah Khamenei

from Tehran Times

The official mourning ceremonies commenced on Saturday morning at Tehran's Grand Imam Khomeini Mosalla, where an unprecedented sea of mourners assembled to pay their final respects to a leader whose life and legacy profoundly shaped the Islamic Republic for more than three decades.

Long before sunrise, roads leading to the sprawling religious complex were filled with people arriving from every corner of Iran. Families, veterans, clerics, students, tribal elders, and pilgrims travelled through the night, many carrying Iranian flags, portraits of Ayatollah Khamenei, Qur'ans and black mourning banners. Their destination was not merely the funeral of a national leader, but what many regarded as a historic moment to honor a man they viewed as the guardian of the Islamic Revolution and a symbol of steadfast resistance against foreign domination.

Across the capital, black flags fluttered from government buildings, mosques and public squares. Large banners stretched over major streets proclaimed the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei and celebrated his enduring place in Iran's contemporary history. Loudspeakers broadcast verses from the Holy Qur'an, elegies and revolutionary anthems, creating a solemn atmosphere that extended well beyond the Mosalla...

Trump touts America's "golden age," attacks communism in delayed July 4th speech

(Joe McCarthy would be proud of our bloviating, bloated, belligerent, banal, bastard of a fake president. He was a fascist as well.)

from CBS News

President Trump paid homage to veterans, attacked communism and touted America's "golden age" in his Fourth of July speech commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence.

Speaking in Washington, D.C., after severe weather forced a two-hour evacuation of the National Mall, Mr. Trump's delayed speech mixed politics, patriotism and history.

The president honored veterans, including several from World War II, one of the first Black officers to lead a Special Forces team in combat in Vietnam, and William Harvey Carney, who escaped slavery to join the Civil war as a Union soldier and later became the first Black man awarded the Medal of Honor.

While listing historic American military achievements, the president included two of his own. "You look at Venezuela, you look at Iran, we wiped it out, wiped out their military," he said, before comparing the sinking of a Spanish fleet on Manila Bay to this year's attacks on Iran's navy. The president said the historic event was "much like our recent victory by sinking the entire Iranian navy, 159 ships to the bottom of the sea, all done in just a moment's time."

In similar tones to his speech on the eve of the holiday at Mount Rushmore, Mr. Trump also used this speech to attack communism, in rhetoric which some have interpreted as an attack on Democrats ahead of the midterm elections.

"Our warriors did not fight communism on battlefields across the world, only to have that menace rear its ugly head right back here in America," the president said. "It's like a cancer, you got to cut it out."...

Videos posted on social media captured the individuals marching in their signature blue shirts, chinos and white face coverings. Several wore hats with the Patriot Front logo. Trump ‘livid’ over crowd size at National Mall state fair, report says: ‘Who thought this was a good idea?’

(Imagine that. At a time when the economy sucks for most Americans, TrumpyBear doesn't get the turnout to his White Trash Extravaganza at the National Mall. He should have made it for billionaires only and sold tickets for 1 million each (and pocketed the money) and turnout would have been much better. What a fascist clown show his latest stint has turned into.)

from The Independent

President Donald Trump grew “livid” over the crowd size at his kickoff event for the Great American State Fair, a weeks-long celebration of America’s 250th birthday on the National Mall, according to a new report. And White House officials now fear a lackluster turnout could overshadow his Fourth of July speech.

The Republican president opened the fair — organized by Freedom 250 — on June 24 with remarks put together after several musical acts dropped out. During his roughly 30-minute address, attended by administration officials and Trump supporters outfitted in MAGA-branded outfits, he claimed America was “back” and “respected by everybody.”

Trump, who spoke after sunset, did not initially know how large the crowd was, CNN reported. But he was later shown an aerial photo that depicted vast stretches of empty fields behind the audience.

After seeing the image, the president became “enraged,” and White House officials removed it from their social media posts, sources told the outlet. Trump later wrote on Truth Social that the crowd had been “packed to the brim” with “at least 45,000 people.”

NBC News reported that, based on their estimates, there were “nowhere near” that many people present...

The Right-Wing Zionist Wave Sweeping Latin America

from Aletho News

Abelardo de la Espriella’s razor-thin victory over leftist Iván Cepeda on June 21, 2026 represented the most recent rightward shift in Latin America’s politics. The defense attorney from Barranquilla captured 49.66 percent of the vote against Cepeda’s 48.7 percent—a margin of roughly 250,000 votes in what Al Jazeera called one of Colombia’s closest elections.

Within hours, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar called to congratulate him, and de la Espriella posted his response publicly.

“Colombia will restore and strengthen its relationship with the State of Israel like never before. Israel can count on Colombia as a loyal friend and steadfast ally,” de la Espriella declared. Sa’ar called him “a true friend of the Jewish people and the State of Israel,” adding that he looked forward to “revitalizing relations between Israel and Colombia and taking them to their highest level ever” and that he had already invited the incoming president to visit Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered his own congratulations, saying he looked forward to “working with you to strengthen the bond between Israel and Colombia.”

De la Espriella has pledged to reverse Petro’s 2024 decision to cut ties with Israel and has promised to relocate the Colombian embassy to Jerusalem.

No figure looms larger in this transformation of Latin American politics than Argentine President Javier Milei. The libertarian economist who took office in December 2023 has positioned himself as Israel’s most devoted ally anywhere on earth.  “I am sincerely proud to be the most Zionist president in the world,” Milei declared at Yeshiva University in March 2026. At the Western Wall in June 2025, he proclaimed that “My support for Israel comes from the heart, because I believe this is a just cause—the cause of the West. I will always stand by your side.”...

Trump's Board of Peace says Unrwa has 'no place' in Gaza

(Yeah, you can't have an aid agency helping people they want to stuff into concentration camps. That won't work. Goddamn I hate him so fucking much.)

from Middle East Eye

US President Donald Trump's Board of Peace has said that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (Unrwa) "has no place in new Gaza".

In a post on X, the Board said that: "We are turning a page on the complex of perpetual aid dependency and conflict. The people of Gaza deserve better."

The board retweeted a speech by US ambassador Jeff Bartos at the annual UN pledging conference on Tuesday, calling on nations to stop funding Unrwa and instead direct their financial support to the US-led body.

"You can choose to fund incitement, terrorism, and stagnation, or you can choose to fund the Board of Peace, giving Gazans a path to peace, prosperity and real, durable change," Bartos said.

Unrwa serves around 5.9 million Palestinian refugees across Gaza, the West Bank, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.

It is the main UN agency operating in the occupied West Bank and Gaza, overseeing the majority of aid distribution in the enclave.

In Gaza, much of the strip’s 2.2 million population depends on Unrwa for food, shelter, healthcare and education. Smaller aid groups rely on their distribution networks to operate...

Inconsolable grief

from Tehran Times

A profound silence has descended upon Iran. It is the kind of silence that often precedes history—a silence heavy with grief, memory, and anticipation. From the crowded boulevards of Tehran to the Holy Shrines of Mashhad and Qom, from the bazaars of Tabriz to the historic avenues of Isfahan and the gardens of Shiraz, an entire nation is preparing to bid farewell to the man whom millions regarded not merely as a political leader, but as the spiritual compass of a generation.

Over the coming days, Iran is expected to witness one of the largest funeral ceremonies in its contemporary history, a national mourning that will draw millions of people and delegations from across the globe. Streets have been transformed into avenues of remembrance. Black banners flutter from bridges and government buildings, portraits overlook city squares, and mosques, seminaries, universities, and public institutions have become centers of prayer, reflection, and preparation.

As the Persian poet Saadi wrote centuries ago, "The children of Adam are limbs of one another." Across Iran, that timeless sentiment appears to have taken visible form as people from every walk of life prepare to gather in a collective expression of sorrow.

For many Iranians, the approaching funeral is more than the conclusion of an era; it is the closing chapter of four decades of leadership that profoundly shaped the country's political identity, strategic posture, and religious life. Through cities and villages alike, conversations increasingly revolve around remembrance rather than routine, while families speak of making journeys to Tehran and other host cities to become part of what many describe as a defining moment in the nation's history.

Behind this immense public gathering lies an unprecedented logistical operation.

The National Headquarters for the Farewell and Funeral Ceremony, established by the Iranian government under the supervision of First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref and coordinated through the Ministry of Interior, has mobilized virtually every major state institution. Specialized committees overseeing logistics, security, transportation, medical services, cultural affairs, international coordination, media operations, and public welfare have spent weeks preparing for an event whose scale rivals the largest national commemorations in the Islamic Republic's history.

Hundreds of volunteer service stations are being erected along funeral routes. Emergency medical teams, hospitals, rescue units, and the Iranian Red Crescent Society have entered full operational readiness. Railways, airlines, highways, and urban transportation systems have expanded capacity to accommodate millions expected to travel from every corner of the country...

Türkiye warns of unprecedented political attacks on UNRWA

from Daily Sabah

Türkiye's permanent representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Ahmet Yıldız, warned Tuesday that the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees is facing unprecedented political attacks aimed at undermining its mandate, urging stronger international support for the organization.

Speaking at the General Assembly Ad Hoc Committee's announcement of voluntary contributions to UNRWA, Yıldız said the agency continues to face both financial and political challenges despite its critical humanitarian role.

"For over 75 years, UNRWA has remained an indispensable pillar of stability, dignity, and hope, providing education, health care, food assistance, social services, emergency relief, shelter, and protection to nearly six million Palestinian refugees," he said.

"Today, however, chronic financial shortfalls continue to undermine the agency's ability to provide essential services. Simultaneously, UNRWA has come under unprecedented political pressure, including systematic campaigns to undermine its credibility, question its legitimacy and constrain its operations," he added...

Türkiye, Egypt intelligence chiefs discuss Gaza, regional security

from Daily Sabah

National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Director Ibrahim Kalın met with Egyptian General Intelligence Service chief Hassan Rashad in Ankara on Monday to discuss the Gaza cease-fire, bilateral ties and a range of regional security issues, Turkish security sources said.

The two intelligence chiefs reviewed the implementation of the second phase of the Gaza cease-fire agreement and agreed to continue strengthening coordination and cooperation to help prevent Israel's escalating violations of the truce, the sources said.

Kalın reaffirmed Türkiye's commitment to supporting the Palestinian people, stressing that Ankara would continue to stand by Palestinians with all available means, as it has done throughout the conflict.

The meeting also covered Türkiye-Egypt bilateral relations and regional developments, including efforts to unify political authorities and military forces in eastern and western Libya under a single administration.

The officials further exchanged views on the latest developments in Somalia and discussed the ongoing conflict in Sudan between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces.
